If you have any kind of severe or chronic pain please consider reaching out to Advanced Pain…read moreCenters of Alaska. I worked at APCA for over a year and the providers genuinely care about helping their patients. They don't start by pushing medications but rather approach your treatment with a more holistic approach. They start with procedures that are targeted to treat your symptoms. Then they work to get you into physical therapy, massage therapy, etc. to help target the issues that are causing the pain. In terms of employment I would highly recommend this office. The providers are great to work with and they enjoy teaching their staff new things as they believe that the more everyone knows the better the office will run. I would definitely agree! Having people cross trained allows for information to get to the patients more easily as anyone can answer their questions. The work environment is great. I really enjoyed my time working with Dr. Olamikan and think he was a great boss. The patients themselves were so kind and I miss so many of the regulars now that I have moved. Overall, I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for pain management care or employment!

I've had tardive dyskinesia for 3 years now, which is a debilitating neurological condition caused…read moreby exposure to certain medications. The longer it takes to be addressed, the worse it gets, and after the first year, it becomes permanent and incurable. I now have to be on a 24-hour regimen of sedatives to keep the excruciating symptoms suppressed and am looking at needing brain surgery to mitigate the damage that was caused by my diagnosis being delayed for so long, which is LARGELY Pinnacle's fault. I saw 3 different NP neurologists there, with my symptoms getting worse each time, and them knowing I was on meds that could cause TD. The 1st NP, Lisa- who no longer works there- accused me of lying. The 2nd, Debby, told me my symptoms were just psychosomatic. The 3rd, Allison, told me it couldn't be TD, despite the fact that I was visibly grimacing and moving my jaw around, and my teeth kept snapping shut, all of which are classic, TEXTBOOK TD symptoms. She told me the grimacing must be from my chronic pain and dismissed my other symptoms completely because I was not displaying one VERY specific symptom that NOT everyone with TD even develops, and is absolutely NOT a requirement for a diagnosis. I finally convinced my psychiatrist to take a closer look and when she saw the grimacing and jaw movements, she IMMEDIATELY diagnosed me with TD. I cannot recommend Pinnacle. The care I received there was LESS than subpar UPDATE: Because of the original bad review I left them here, despite the fact that I was willing to give Pinnacle one more chance because they finally hired an ACTUAL doctor, my appt was cancelled, I've been barred from being seen there at all, and now have had FALSE allegations made against me about supposedly abusing the staff over the phone and the patient portal. First of all, I only JUST got access to the patient portal in the last few days, and I sent exactly ONE message on it to tell them that their website worked terribly and to call them out for using the "American Indian" in the demographics section. The office manager made excuses for this last point, said SHE didn't think it was racist (NOT her call to make, as I would expect if she were Indigenous American herself, she'd have said so), and cited UCLA and the US Consensus, both of which are NOT the Indigenous American community and do not get a say about what term is appropriate- never mind the fact that it's been removed from the common vernacular, and widely considered outdated and racist for over twenty years already. I have also never once CALLED and actually complained about my abysmal treatment by their NPs to ANYONE there, never mind the reception staff, because I understand that the front desk has NO control over what the medical providers do. I was called a liar AGAIN by the receptionist- who was hostile with me from the very start of the call- because he claimed to be the one who I abused on the phone and I told him that I'm positive I've only spoken to him ONCE before to make that appointment. He's the only man that's ever worked that desk, so I feel like I might remember. Which seems more likely- the receptionist who fields HUNDREDS of calls daily remembers my ONE call, MONTHS AGO and I was SO abusive that he made the appt w/o protest, or that -I- actually remember the ONLY call I made to them in over a year when I spoke to the ONLY man who's ever answered that phone? And yes, THIS time, I DID tell him to go eff himself. I also caught HIM in a lie. First, he claimed that HE was the one I supposedly abused on the phone. THEN he let slip that I've ACTUALLY been barred for over a year, which means this was decided before he worked there, but does actually coincide almost perfectly with the time I left the original review here. So, am I banned for abusing the staff just a few months ago, or was it because I left a bad review over a year ago? Do NOT go to Pinnacle. This is beyond me not recommending them: I am warning you AWAY from them

I had an epidural cortisone shot back then with the spine institute, and it worked so well, but I had major billing issues and ended up having to pay a lot of money out of pocket. Dr. Gay's office was diligent in insuring that my insurance would cover both my office visit and my shot with them so I never had to worry about the financial side. I was nervous about my cortisone shot with a new doctor because Dr. Gay did not have it at a surgery center the way the spine institute did, however, I could not be happier with the process. Not only was it quick and easy, it was not really painful, and once I saw the room and the assistant, I felt completely comfortable with the process and with Dr. Gay. Within 24 hours I experienced substantial pain relief, and after going through 4 weeks of dibilitating pain, I almost cried with relief when I woke up the next morning and could get out of bed without assistance. Dr. Gay did set proper expectations that physical rehabilitation would be necessary to maintain the pain relief and fully recover, and immediately sent a referral to a place that was in network who I received a call from the very next day. I am so happy that I went in to see Dr. Gay, and I will continue to use him as my pain relief provider in the future (hopefully for not much longer). The only negative thing I can say is that he is very busy and it can take a while to get in to see him, which when you are in so much pain can feel like forever.

My experience with him in this facility has been very disappointing. In the initial evaluation Keith had mention insurance didn't cover TMJ issues and would have to add other issues with the neck to insure coverage. Which at the time I was having issues with my neck as well, so it made sense. By the second appointment when I started asking questions he started making very rude remarks. He saw me for about 15 minutes while he did some dry needling and when he finished, I sat in the room waiting for his assistant to come see me for the rest of the time. I was told they would e-Mail me some exercises, which I had to e-Mail to ask for them because a week later I still had not received them. This an expensive place and really lacked care. After this second session I knew I was wasting my time and money. After some time I requested my medical records from this facility and read the notes Keith wrote, that unless you request medical records you cannot see. The notes were untrue and I was in complete disbelief because Keith is suppose to be a professional provider. I contacted the facility and he never returned my call. After about 1 month 1/2 I called again and was able to speak to him. He clearly stated he "doesn't make mistakes in all of his year," and there was nothing he could do. I am appalled. I would not recommend his facility or him as a professional provider.
