My father has been staying at this facility, and I was lucky enough to be able to visit. I was told…read moreprior that this location is WAY better than the Wasilla one, but I've been very impressed with the quality & care here. It is definitely a newer building. Everything is well laid out, very cleanly & spacious. It's kind of a maze- you can get lost easily, so luckily a staff member is usually present to guide visitors. And as far as the staff goes- they are pretty fantastic! My father can be very difficult (also quite the smartass) but everyone here has a laid back sense of humor and friendly personality. They're all kind & attentive. Patient and understanding- a very important aspect when you have a loved one in their care. The food is actually pretty good! I'm impressed- it's better than I'd make for my own meals. And, it's gotten my father to try things he normally would have turned his nose up at. The pork chops w/ a wild Alaskan blueberry compote accompanied w/ a side of mashed potatoes & steamed veggies was a huge hit- so was the meatloaf! Drinks & snacks are always available- and everything is catered to specific diets, diabetes taken into consideration, of course. The cold, chocolate Ensure shakes always seem to be a hit, or an ice cold lemonade (no added sugar). Activities are regular- bingo, car painting, early evening movie nights... always a variety depending on the day of the week. The outside terrace is wonderful to get some summer sun, and the horse pasture is positioned just next to the facility- we could sit out there all afternoon watching the horses frolic & graze! (My nephew loves to visit for that reason.) They have a full gym equipped w/ rehab machines, on-site medical professionals, as well as a "spa" for hair cuts & basic grooming. Physical therapy can also be done in the large, private rooms. Two large dining rooms, one which slightly mimics a restaurant setting. A full menu for each day, and the options are not bad at all! Actually, a lot of what is to offer seems better than you'd get paying to dine out! Plus, there is a larger formal dining room for a family dinner party. If I was staying longer & COVID restrictions weren't still a thing, I would have liked to get him in there for a traditional dinner w/ my sister & Mom. Maybe next visit... But the private rooms are also very spacious & accommodating. Very comfortable medical-grade beds, adjustable recliners & big windows. The bathroom is better than my tiny apartment! And, I wish I could take the wheelchair as my own, lol. Built-in shelving allows photos, flowers or other decor to make it feel more homey, and there is a nice wardrobe closet as well as nightstand & portable table. The rooms are literally bigger than my studio & twice as nice- similar to staying in a classy hotel. Overall, I'm glad I was able to visit & see this place for myself. I feel comfortable & welcome when visiting. And appreciate they are on top of who is coming/going- checking temps upon arrival & making sure everyone washes their hands while wearing a mask (we need to protect the vulnerable here regardless of vaccination). I'm glad my father is able to be in good care here, and I really appreciate the manner this facility is run. They're professional & above minimum standards, the quality truly shows.

I worked there for a little over a year and loved the administration. The staff definitely placed…read morethe residence first with all that they did.
