When I first went to Advanced Physical Therapy, I had a lot of shoulder pain. Id let it get to the point to were I couldn't use it to turn on a light. At first, I was with Drew and Mrs. Pam. They instructed me on how my horrible posture had caused a lot of my problems, I apparently was doing everything wrong lol. While being seen for my shoulder, it made me realize how I wasn't taking care of myself. I made jokes that I was in perfect health before I went there. But in all seriousness, they really helped me get myself in order. I'm more aware now of how I was doing everything wrong lol. Ive seen Shawn, he puts you at ease and knows his stuff, he does dry needling and that is definitely an experience. Mrs. Pam is amazing at everything she does and is 'The Boss' for pool sessions. Drew is smart and won't let you slack, he knows how to word things so its easy to understand what's going on with your body. Ive been improving every week. It's a slow process, but healing the right way apparently takes time. They have been the best group of people, always welcoming and helpful. Their intelligence is what lead to me receiving a diagnosis that has helped further my improvement. Oh and the ladies at the front desk absolutely deserve raises. read more

A step above the rest, if I was able to add stars I would. I myself have recovered from several high impact injuries with the help of Advanced physical therapy. Not only will I continue to use them (I'm sure I'll hurt myself again in the future) but I will not take my family anywhere else. My son recovered to full use from an intense reconstructive foot surgery. He went from zero weight-bearing to 100% use and shortened his recovery time by two weeks. It's no doubt that is because of the physicians here. I honestly don't know how a place can be so professional with their advanced care and treat you like family at the same time, but advanced physical therapy has done just that. APT removed my review on Google. But I will not be silent. The good: they were easy to book/rebook with. The bad: I received no advanced notice that masks were required. This should be disclosed up front if for no other reason than to let the patient bring their own masks. The UGLY: The front desk had a bag of masks, open, behind a computer desk for God knows how long. The receptionist grabbed the mask, without wearing gloves, after touching all over a dirty keyboard, with the expectation that I would put the dirty mask on my face. None of this is CDC compliant. The purpose of masks is for each person to keep their germs to themselves, and the CDC states cloth masks do not work. Even if, as a private business, APT wants to require useless masks, if they believe COVID is deadly, they put my life in danger by giving me a germ ridden masks. The ugly is the reason for the 1 star. Recommendation: go to Northern Edge PT! I was able to book with them quickly, and they're consistent. read more

When I talked to my doctor about my disturbing "overactive bladder" that had cropped up a couple of months before, I told her I would prefer a non prescription way to deal with it. She advised me to try physical therapy and sent me to Advanced Physical Therapy in Wasilla. I owe that doctor a huge debt of gratitude. The therapist did wonders for my condition. Found out that my problem was pelvic floor muscles that were too tight and causing my bladder to feel like it was full all the time. A few exercises in relaxing the pelvic floor muscles and training me to deep breathe with my diaphragm which helps relax the same muscles. This is simplified but my condition has become almost non-existent and I am pretty much back to normal. NO PRESCRIPTION PILLS TO TAKE!! I am so very happy and highly recommend Advanced Physical Therapy's experts in pelvic problems before resorting to prescription drugs. I am so grateful my doctor preferred this method.
