This Guess is located in SoHo, the revival of NYC's Fifth Avenue for shopping. In my early adult years I was enamored with Guess clothing, but my style has evolved and changed through the years. Unfortunately, many of their clothing has their logo is gargantuan imprinted noticeable as the wearer is advertising the Guess brand as a spokesperson. I believe company logos should not be mammoth and notably displayed but discreetly. Sale associates did meet and greet us as we entered and browsed freely offering assistance if needed. While browsing their clothing with a friend/ fellow co-worker we did not see anything enticing. Overpriced. Over rated. Condescending. Superficial. read more

Right now... like this week of November 8th, 2009, the Guess collection is just awesome. It might be my mood and state of mind but everything in there is like hot and slick and streamlined and I want it. WIth that said, I'm a fan of Guess clothing and always enjoy this store at this location. They recently renovated the whole store and it's really nice. The fitting rooms are all pimped out and this Thursday they had a DJ spinning in the middle of the floor. Everyone in there is all decked out in the Guess clothing and, honestly, the service has been really good. I literally had three people working to find me an outfit, bag and shoes. I'm not a diva... it just sort of happened.... I embraced it fully and now the belt, jeans, boots and bag I purchased are going to be my winter wardrobe staples. Oh, and I love their watches. Always. I'm picky about watches but here I can always find one I love. Usually it's uber ostentatious with lots of glitzy rhinestones. OOh yeah. read more

if I could give this place a negative review, I would. My first experience is my last, I would never shop at guess AGAIN! The vest was about $100+ First, I went into the store, and bought a Satin bustier/vest. I had this for about 3 days.... I didn't try it on in the store, I just purchased it. In my closet, somehow.... I guess there were little pieces of dust/feather on it from another shirt... I did my best to get everything off spotless ...and I changed my mind, so I went back to the store to return it. This vest was not dirtied, nothing happened. I put it on to try once and I no longer wanted it. When I tried to return it, with all the tags still intact, the manager came over and told me that she cannot accept the vest back, because it has been worn. I told her i bought this less than 3 days ago and nothing is wrong with the vest. She said since I wore it, she cannot accept the return. She was extremely bitchy! I can't believe what I heard! Vests are not shoes, once worn the bottom of the shoe- you can't return. Vests have a wrinkle, so she can't accept it back? How fking ridiculous! We had a back and forth argument regarding her return policy, and nothing could be done. I thought about contacting her branch manager, but I thought i'd just let it go. Their competitor, Bebe, in which I am VIP of, accepts anything back in which I do not like without grief! They have made a major mistake in pissing me off, since I probably would of spent a ton of money in their store. I'll NEVER BUY anything from Guess or Marciano again! That store is full of stuck up snobby girls that have zero shame. I ended up keeping that vest, and never returning to that store. The store feels like a club inside with loud music and the staff is often inattentive or dismissive. But oh yeah they are all really tall and super hot and their clothes are tight. The clothing is expensive but no one else makes jeans that fit my body properly. I love this store. read more

This place sucks now. Rather than looking like a normal clothing shop, it looked like a fake club with ugly hoochie-clothing. I KNOW I can find better Guess things at Macy's than at this hole. On August 1, 2016 I visited SoHo's Guess Store (537 Broadway) to return a watch and to take a link off another watch. I was told by a female employee that I can't return the watch because I bought it at another Guess Store and have to return it there. I handed over the second watch to a male employee to take a link off. He returned a few minutes later to assist other customers but did not say anything to me. After 30 mins, he gave me back the watch and told me that their machine was broken. I told both employees that it would have been nice to have a faster update. They did not say anything so I left the store. I called the general Guess number. The rep said the employees should have honored the return policy. I was advised to call the store and speak to the manager. I did. I was put on hold for 10 mins. I hung up. I went back to the store and told the same two employees what the rep said. The female employee said, "Oh okay if they approved it then we'll do it for you. We know customer service. Don't need to get worked up about it." These were her exact words. These employees could have asked me within 5 mins of discovering the broken machine if I would like to wait. As it was, I didn't know what I was waiting for and was very frustrated. I am also appalled at the lack of knowledge this employee have on return policies. And I dislike how she made me feel that I was getting "worked up" over nothing. I would have been a bit more understanding if there were many customers to be taken care of. When I went back to the store after calling, I noticed that there were even fewer customers than when I left the first time. read more

***HAD PURSE STOLEN BY AN EMPLOYEE!*****was one of the last customers in the store and noticed my bag was gone from the couch right next to me, the employee Jose claimed he was cleaning up things from the couch and putting things away, there was nothing on the couch except my small tory Burch purse. I called the police and while reviewing the cameras Jose was seen picking up something from the couch, even though it was unclear from the video footage what he had picked up, my purse was the only thing there... the manager Elaine was extremely rude and unhelpful even when the police arrived. The hotel next door called me after a person matching José's description dropped the bag off claiming he found it in the street. When I picked it up all my money was gone. I have been buying jeans from guess for 10 years and will never purchase another item from their company ever again! read more

Store manager and staff was very rude and only willing to assist those who were foreign and spending money. Although I am no longer a frequent Guess shopper, if I am spending my hard earned money for these ridiculous prices where the product is only a notch or two above H&M, why am I being shun in anyway shape or form?? #KeepMyMoneyInMyPocket read more

I was always impressed by the clothes Guess made and on Nov. 24th when i walked into the store i wanted to buy myself a good jacket. I find one that i really liked but had no tag on it. I walk across to the sales rep. and she searches the jacket (and other jacket) and does not find the cost. Then i walk up to the counter and still they cant figure out the cost. What do they ask me to do .... go stand in a long line to get it billed and we will be able to tell you the price. I wasn't sure if they were kidding. I just walked out of the place with one of the worst experiences. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS STORE. read more

I just left the Guess in Soho and thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience. Jamie, such a star! She helped me find the perfect outfit for today, plus a few other items. She knew I wasn't there for a huge shopping trip, yet she was attentive and gave insightful input. All the other associates were also very nice and helpful as well. They just got a lot of cute items in to so it made it really easy to find great outfits. I will definitely shop at this location again when I return to the city. read more

This Guess location is extremely overpriced and is more on the "high end" side of the brand. I know it's SoHo and all, but come on. I've been wearing Guess since I was a kid and this store won't stop me from buying from another retailer that also has Guess as well. Thanks so much to the staff member who helped me when I came in in early June 2015. She was African-American but I didn't catch her name. I was looking for a trench coat to deal with the spring rain and cold. I told her this and mentioned that I had just moved to the city, unprepared for the flash floods and wind. She understood where I was coming from and was willing to help any way she could. She actually made the effort to ask me further about what I wanted; I told her I was looking for a mix of warmth, water resistance, and style (the latter being the most difficult to find). I was looking for something long, so a trench coat. They didn't have anything in stock, but the staff member provided a range of alternatives. What blew me away was that she recommended other stores where I might look. It's the right thing to do yet so rare. When someone does that I'll want to come back to show my gratitude and support. The only brands that were likely to have trench coats were expensive, luxury, or designer brands -- Burberry, Banana Republic, and the like. She said I should check them out if I was willing to spend that kind of money. She understood that I might not want to, so we also discussed ordering online. Really glad for that interaction -- the lady made a nasty day more pleasant. read more

I never have problems at other Guess stores! But there is a woman named Shela, I believe she's a manager here who has a terrible attitude and personality. It's unfortunate since the other employees were helpful. The company should think twice of who they hire. read more

Pretty accommodating here. Put a pair of boots on hold and came in to try them on. The sales girl helped me put the boots on and take them off. It's always a struggle with really tight boots. I put them on hold since I forgot my card. Came back the next day to retrieve them. Spoke to the guy at the front door to pull my hold. As I'm leaving I hear "Amira, did you get your boots?". I'm looking around like who's calling me?? I realized it was the guy at the door who called in my boots. I didn't have an issue and the store was clean. read more

Guess reopened this boutique with grand fanfare with an event hosted by Michelle Trachtenberg and Marie Claire. I didn't see Georgina of GGirl there, but I think I saw some ANTM rejects in front of the step-and-repeat. Remember when Guess had the most amazing ads with Claudia and Anna Nicole looking like midwestern farm beauties? Yeah, the ads are still provocative, but not quite as iconic anymore. As for the clothes? Hmm it has more of a Diesel, Cavalli, Ed Hardy slant now. The store looked good with silver orbs all along the ceiling, plenty of space, and a ton of product in it. I almost felt inspired to look for jeans with a zipper over the ankle (surely they've brought those back?). read more

I love GUESS, I mean, I LOVE GUESS. Whenever I shop at a GUESS store I always fall in love with something. & of course the quality of the clothing is great. But this particular store, I can't stand shopping in. A large majority of the staff are just rude and (pardon my french) but just b****y. Fill it in for yourself lol. After donating more than half my wardrobe, I decided it was time to go shopping. I was in SoHo and thought Guess would be the place. I couldn't have been more right. Sasha was the most helpful staff member I have ever met. She remembered my name, literally walked me through the store, ran downstairs and made sure I was taken care of the entire time. Between her Andreas and Camille, my entire shopping experience was more than I could've asked for. I usually don't like shopping at all but it made the process pain free and enjoyable.
