I was starting at the end of my driveway where the snow plows deposited wet, heavy slush. I observed a sanitation truck come down Bruynswick Rd in the Gardiner, New Paltz area on 12/5/2024 @ approximately 11:30 am & stopped across the street from me, the gentleman got out of his truck & proceeded to pick up my neighbors garbage pail out of the snow that obviously had been knocked over by a snow plow. He then continued & picked up all the garbage that was knocked out of the pail & cleaned it all up. I thanked him for the EXTRA EFFORT he performed. I wish I asked for his name, but I asked God to bless him. Most sanitation companies wouldn't get out of their trucks anymore as they have an arm on their truck to do the dirty work & if your pail was knocked over by either the wind, a bear or a snow plow, they leave it where it lies an continue down the road. Kudos to LeMela Sanitation & the gentleman who went ABOVE & BEYOND his duties. I didn't ask for his name, but he seemed he was Latino, I sure hope his management see's this review & recognizes him for a JOB WELL DONE. When my wife comes home from work, I am going to suggest changing our company to LeMela Sanitation. They said if I wasn't out by 4pm on the last day they'd charge me for the whole month. When I spoke to my bank they said since I had no contract with prime storage they would reverse the charge for me no problem. Either way I moved to U-Haul they had better prices and better customer service. Prime storage raised my rates and charged me without a signed agreement.

Also, the manager, Terry, responded to my emailed via their site inquiry within hours of their opening on Monday, I had emailed on Sunday night. He went way out of his way to help accommodate my schedule, even let me come by with 15 minutes notice in my work truck to set it all up, and kept it to the point as I was at work. Some places push extras on you to nickel and dime you to death, not here. Offered, yes. Pushed, absolutely not. I really have no more to say as what was promised was delivered, no need for any interaction at all. Very happy with my choice to try out a smaller operation, it's a large site I just mean smaller as in not on every other corner like some brands. Only con for me is that there are no electric outlets anywhere either in or outside of the unit, maybe the larger ones have them.
