I finally decided to visit on Monday, June 16th, to have a worn spark plug replaced--I'm so glad I did. From the very first phone call, I was impressed. Jon, the service advisor, was friendly, clear, and professional. He took the time to explain everything in detail, including letting me know that their technicians would be taking lunch at noon--so I could plan my visit to avoid unnecessary waiting. That kind of thoughtfulness already set the tone for a great experience. They do not have a fancy waiting area nor a beautiful building facade or multiple choices of beverages but they have the best customer service, pricing and quality assurance of their work. From the outside, the building looks insight or unlikely but this is a total hidden gem on Bandera road. This is my new place for all my car's service and maintenance needs.

See attached image!…read more Back in June I finally decided it was time to fix my cars AC, this was a long time coming because I figured it would be a large expense. I STUPIDLY trusted an even stupider family member, who refereed me to this "auto shop" for repair. I went in for service on June 11th, paid $390 to refill my AC, and replace a part they claimed was "necessary" .. they told me if I had any further issues they had put in a product that would provide more information as to if I had a leak/ where it was leaking. Fast forward 2 DAYS.. I get in my car, no more cold air ... AGAIN. Not even 48 hours later. I immediately called and asked what the next steps were as it hadn't even been 2 full days yet, and they instructed me to bring it back in so they could check for the leak they had mentioned previously, on the phone I mentioned I was on shift for next 5 days so it wouldn't be until then that I could bring it back in. I was not able to make it back in until the 18th. After I brought it back within an hour they "diagnosed" my car as needing a new compressor. Parts, labor, AND ANOTHER AC RECHARGE WITH FREON..You know what I had just paid for that didn't even last 48 hours!! The estimate totaling $1,069.00 for everything. OBVIOUSLY this was very upsetting, so I went back into the shop to try to negotiate with them in some way. After seemingly arguing with Jose for 45 minutes he agreed to waive my refilling fee but let me know he was doing me a HUGE favor. HA! My personal favorite part was them hearing me argue with the gentlemen, to then bring out a female who tried to "better explain it to me". She utilized scare tactics to try to convince me to have the work done, as soon as possible, because "the tariffs will significantly increase the price of everything once that starts kicking in" .... Thank God I have some kind of sense in me, and figured it was at least worth a second opinion from elsewhere. HAHAHA BUCKLE UP!!! I had a much more intelligent friend then recommend me to another mechanic shop in SA. I took it in, and this time within a few hours, I got this response. " Hey soooo I'm not sure what that place did, but I have never seen auto work like that in MY LIFE " There were wires not connected to anything, wires connected incorrectly, I've genuinely just never seen anything like it..... SO I went back connected everything the way it should be and NOW YOUR AC IS WORKING PERFECTLY. I don't even feel right charging you for it, since the work was NEVER COMPLETED CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME" IM SORRY WHAT!!? In the end the lovely real mechanic only charged me for the refilling of the AC with the Freon and we called it a day. Since then now 3 MONTHS LATER, my AC has continued to stay in IMPECCABLE condition, ice cold, no issues whatsoever. ZERO complaints. In NO way do I feel like this was not a HUGE SCAM, and grab for money.. trying to replace unnecessary things, as this company knew I am a female, with no automotive knowledge. 1000000% taking advantage of an unknowing victim. Please I urge you, if you utilize this company in any way shape or form, first off DONT, but if you must, before going through with it.. do yourself a favor and seek a second opinion. Could be the difference in over a GRAND. DO BETTER CD AUTOMOTIVE !!!!!! Truly DESPICABLE. I hope we leaned our lesson to stop attempting to take advantage of customers, but after actually reading reviews (like I should have done the first time) that seems to be a pretty common occurrence and trend as to how you do "business". Same thing, bad sensor, again good timely work. Another dash check engine, seems the sensors break before the car does. They could have charged me for a sensor but this is why the review has been written. They checked the codes, checked everything out, smoked the line and found it was not a sensor this time. Charged for a worn out gas cap. Honesty goes a long way.

They are definitely the Lexus/Toyota experts although they have done equally amazing work on Jeeps, Infinity's and Cadillacs for me. Mike and his team have always served me well. They're honest, accommodating and do great work. Plus, they're much cheaper than the dealer (hence the earlier names). Dealer quality work at neighborhood garage prices. APRIL 2026- I took my 2023 Nissan car into Pan Am Automotive to have Jay put on new Nissan front end brake pads to include the hardware and shave the rotors . What his mechanic ended up doing was giving me generic brake pads not using new hardware and not shaving the rotors so here we are two days later and my front end brakes are still squeaking. I called back Jay on the phone told him that my brakes were still squeaking he stated to come back in he would charge me again just minus the labor he stated that I might need new rotors well clearly he should have done that work from the get-go and we wouldn't be in the situation but he wants to charge twice for brake pads and to put on hardware and rotors that wasn't in the original price. The price I paid was in the ballpark of $325 for him to put on generic brake pads with old hardware and not shaving the rotors if you're going to get a brake job you got to do it the correct way all the way not half ass . Days later I went into the Nissan dealership where the certified Nissan mechanic stated by looking at my brake pads that they were not Nissan brake pads and that the mechanic had used old hardware and did not shave the rotors down like he was supposed to hence the reason why they're still squeaking. So, no, Jay and his mechanic are not honest people.
