Had the street tacos yesterday. They were perfect. Not huge like so many places make them. Just right w/ cilantro and onions. Their homemade green and red salsas were tremendous. The green was slightly less spicy, but both weee packed w/ flavor. Gonna try the enchiladas today. read more

Stopped here with my bestie while visiting from out of town and getting our nails done and what a treat! We both had the guacamole plate, which was a bowl with rice, beans, and chicken! Ordered a side of guac with chips. Everything was DELICIOUS! Only "complaint" is that guacamole should come with all the meals since the name is Guacamole. read more

The rice and beans are very good as guacamole. I had to scream my credit card into the phone five times. By the time I got through I was exhausted and I don't feel well today. I was so confused and exhausted that I forgot the credit card did not go through but so by the time Jose got here(owner son) All I was concentrating on was giving him his tip in . Cash . Just got off the phone with Naomi, lots of kids screaming in the background and very hard to hear what she was saying which is why I was screaming my credit card worked twice today, once online and once in person, and she kept telling me it did not go through. I called my bank and it was true. so I asked her to text me the total amount and I guarantee you she's going to forget. I asked her not to wake me up in the morning please I am coming down with something I hope it's not Covid. They're all very sweet but I don't understand why it is so hard to order rice and beans and guacamole and chips. I prefer to pay in cash because cash is hard to get since my bank took the Local office out. So now we have another errand to do tomorrow. Sometimes the bank updates their systems anytime they feel like it and nobody knows that. They certainly do not let their own customers know this is not the first time this has happened. We literally have about 11 unpleasant things to do tomorrow. The last thing we need to do is go pay a bill and the opposite direction of where we need to go. I asked Naomi to keep the numbers on the credit card and she did not. I asked her before I asked her to text me the balance which was by the way four dollars less than the owner had said it would be. Hey ! You cannot charge me like a food app when you are using your son as a Food Delivery and you know that. Technology is the worst. Food is 3 1/2 stars and the experience with the credit card is zero stars. For all I know it's their equipment that is on the blink. Reading these reviews I can only assume the crack epidemic is making a raging comeback. Authentic, mom and pop 4 and 5 star cuisine? Take another deep hit. This is, at best, generic cafeteria Mexican that would impress the heart out of a bland old white person who was born in town and never left. The kind who eats an Ortega taco and revels in the exotic culinary experience. "Made with love?" Doesn't even feel like the food is prepared with mild interest. The chicken and steak in all dishes look like they came pre-chopped straight out of a big frozen brick kicked off the back of the Sysco truck. Tiny, grayish meat bits. "Authentic?" My enchiladas suizas were topped in a 100% tasteless, thin, unseasoned red sauce. I'm no food snob, but find me one Mexican mom or Mexican restaurant on this planet earth that serves suizas without green tomatillo sauce. That's literally the entire point of the dish. That's why they're called enchiladas *verdes* before the addition of crema/cheese. This isn't authentic- this is just lazy, what the h*ll, just put something edible on the plate Mexican food. Totally disappointed in the food and, even more so, the egregious lack of taste of some of these reviewers. There's very good Mexican to be had in this area- but this ain't it. Real madre y padre style Mexican food. I've tried a few things on the menu, I like the birria tacos. I think the portions are kinda small for what they charge, but the flavors are incredible. Definitely a solid Mexican place. read more

I have been here numerous times. This is a true mom and pop establishment. Mama and papi cooking in the back. I have not had a bad meal. The problem is the front of the house and consistency. Every time I have been here the service needs help. The young men appear to have no service experience. They don't know the drinks they have, meaning soda. Only once a got chips and dip. Been there where other tables got it and we did not. Sometimes you have to ask for plates. I realize they are trying . Tonight though was the last time, luckily got there before the take out rush began. We got our order in for nachos. Went and got our sodas ourselves. No chips and dip. Meal came out. Tacos nice. My flautas were good but only got rice. No beans. Ok. Last time 3 chicken flautas. Today. No complaints 3 chicken one cheese. Now it's cinco de Mayo saw three couples walk in and wait. Then walk out. Saw a young couple come in and were seated and they waited. No one came to wait on them and they got up and left. Lots of takeout orders going, we waited and waited and waited. Went to register and then outside of kitchen. Asked for a container and a check. Got the container, there was a young man at the register. Asked for check again. Put my food in container and waited, went up again and asked for bill. Could not find and had t9 tell them what we ordered. Left 15% tip and walked out. They also were having karaoke tonight. I feel bad for the guy. No one there except line for take out. So the main reason will not be bad is the service not the food. So if you are willing to wait. The food is good. A lovely family-run restaurant with fresh Mexican classics! No alcohol: BYOB. We brought our own margaritas in cantines. We sat outside due to the virus. The Chicken Enchiladas were delicious and very filling. The platter came with black beans and rice. I also had a simple side salad with tomato and avocado . The lettuce was simple iceberg shredded. We also had their flan which was a denser type of flan but quite good. They provide chips/salsa while you wait for the meal. read more

Went back for Burritos, which were outstanding. The steak burrito was flavorable and delicous and the chicken equally good.

The food is fine; nothing special but edible and perfect when made correctly. My issue is the girl who takes orders, etc. She's friggin miserable. She doesn't want to be there so she half-a**es everything. Answers questions with a look on her face (Do you have soup?) like the person asking is an idiot. Menu online is different from their actual menu so there were more bored, dumb looks headed my way when I asked for things they don't have. Ultimately, I didn't get what I ordered. The young lady was bored and didn't care. So, the food is edible, but the whole experience is depressing. I felt like I was supporting forced labor. read more

My wife and I ate dinner at guacamole restaurant last weekend. She had a chicken Cemita sandwich which she truly enjoyed. I ordered the chicken enchiladas in Verde sauce. They weren't what I was expecting. Three unfilled corn tortillas were laid folded, on the plate. They were difficult to cut through, even with a knife, i suspect they were not fresh. On top of the tortillas, was just a tiny bit of Verde sauce, Then topped with shredded lettuce and what I would best describe as granulated chicken bits. The amount of rice plated seemed excessive as compared to the amount of protein received. Although tasty I left a bit disappointed with my meal. It fell well short of what i would consider traditional enchiladas, filled with stewed chicken, topped with generous amounts of green sauce, all soft and yummy. We will definitely go back and try something different, mostly because of the friendly staff and unassuming atmosphere. read more
