Was packed and busy, we only stepped in to charge our phones and love the face that there were charging stations at the bar top. Bartender took a little bit of time to get to us, and my coffee took about 10 min to get to me. We ordered the queso dip to wait for our phones to charge, and it did not disappoint. Really enjoyed the chorizo in it. Also recommend getting the chicken tortilla soup, has a little kick to it and comes with bits of chicharrones. read more

Pretty good quick American-Mexican food inside the Cancun airport food hall. It's set up like a Chipotle or Subway, order between a bowl, burrito, tacos, quesadillas then pick some proteins (mine was a veggie bowl with rice, black beans, veggies (cooked in butter and the friendly employee told me without asking for those Vegan people) and pico (extra $) hottest sauce they had (actually had decent heat) with lettuce and corn mix. It took about 3 minutes and I was on my way. I ate it later on the plane and it was very good. Good flavors, good heat from the hot sauce. I really enjoyed my meal. I'll certainly be back. read more

If it were possible, I'd drop the score to a 0/5 for the service alone. The employees are unable to determine which salsa a customer wants or run a lunch service without standing in the middle of the line and having a casual conversation. I am fluent in Spanish and understand their conversation was completely irrelevant to lunch service. Our attempts to place a simple order took about 5x longer than it should have, and was met with scowls, eye-rolling, horrible body language, and a shared attitude that any possibility of quality service or food was an utter waste of time. I was greatly impressed (see: depressed) by the hygiene of this restaurant as well, seeing as I watched employees take mid-service breaks to walk over and snack on chips using the same bare hands they used to prepare my food. The food, which I give a 1/5, is the best part of this place. You get two "sides" (e.g., lettuce, pico, any fundamental ingredients to a burrito), and good luck getting any more than a raindrop of the wrong salsa you didn't ask for on your food. You're better off licking the Doritos crumbs off the fingers of their employees than anything they've prepared with any semblance to food. read more

Holy Guacamole. Just like an avocado, this place is this pits. I wasn't too impressed by Guacamole Mexican Grill. In the Cancun international airport, there aren't too many options, and certainly not too many fast and cheap ones. While this place was fast, it wasn't cheap, nor was it delicious. Guacamole is nestled in a food court along with places like Johnny Rocket's and Guy Fieri's Flavortown. It's just beyond security in Terminal 4. This place looked like a knockoff of Chipotle. I opted for a chicken bowl, which was basically just the burrito in a different packaging. The chicken seemed to be overcooked, and they were a bit stingy with the amount. I asked about the extras, and tried to tell them that I wanted all the free extras that they'd give me, but somehow I still got charged extra for something. Meh. The food was filling, but expensive. I wasn't too impressed. The clerk was fast with the scooping, but acted like he'd been there forever and didn't care about the customers' scoops of chicken. The dining area wasn't especially clean. Next time, I'm trying one of the other places, and skipping the Guacamole. read more

Let me start off by saying that the Guacamole Mexican Grill has some of the worst food i have ever tasted in a restaurant, and i have been in a lot of restaurants... the rice was not cooked thoroughly, the beans taste like they where boiled in sewage water, and the classic topping of onion and cilantro was 4 extra dollars!!!! someone must inform them that money does not grow on trees this instant... and aside from the food being some of the worst i have ever tasted the workers where assholes too!!! they barely spoke english and treated me like a delinquent 4th grader!!!! Guacamole Mexican Grill moved to terminal 4 after the recent renovations to the airport and it's a huge let down. I should've read all of the reviews on Yelp because my whole experience there was awful. With a bunch of food options in terminal 4, I wanted Mexican food before we departed. There's Wolfgang Puck, Guy Fieri Burgers, Panda Express, etc... but we wanted to stay the course and stick with Mexican food for our Mexican vacation. Looking back on it, we should've opted for something else. The service here is so rude and they don't have anything ready. I wanted a steak burrito but there was no steak ready. The only meat available was chicken. After the employee behind the counter went to the kitchen to check for steak, she came back and just said "chicken?" She didn't let me know when the steak would be ready and just assumed that I would oblige to getting chicken instead. What?! We also got a burrito bowl and I have to say...it's probably the worst burrito bowl I've ever had in my life. It's weird how they just section off all of the ingredients. Nothing flows and it's not even mixed together! Totally disjointed. They only give you two toppings and we couldn't even get salsa to put in our burrito or burrito bowl without it being extra. Are you kidding me? The horchata was terrible. It was so milky and chalky. Please do yourself a favor and don't order it. If you're in terminal 4, I would venture to a known commodity such as Wolfgang Puck or Panda Express. read more

Added the hot salsa, and maybe because I didn't think they heard me I said hot sauce twice, they added some substance that I thought was going to burn a hole through my head. Tasty though. Didn't expect much and had some great burritos here. Large and tasty with steak and multiple yummy ingredients! Also had the cheese chips with pico and guacamole, quite yummy, just have to eat it while the cheese is warm! Most fast food places have a small selection of local beer as well. read more

Ok so we are clear this is for the airport spot at CUN right by the check in counter at terminal 4. I came here with my group on our departing day. The service here was fucking awful our servers didn't show god competence of the menu and wasn't attentive to our basic needs as customers what so ever! Food portion sizes were good, we were seated fairly quickly & the place did seem clean. Now for the food everything I ordered was perfectly fine The only complaint I had was that the syrup was way too thick and it didn't give the pancakes enough moisture making them very dry and pasty when you put it in your mouth *pause* I don't recommend going here! Food is decent but the service is just so bad but if you do go here I understand it's in the airport and the options are pretty good lol read more

DO NO EAT HERE!!! I usually don't write reviews but I wrote this one because I felt so ripped off! The food was ok but WAY overpriced. Everything is charged extra. For example, $2 for lettuce.... ridiculous. I ordered 2 burritos one of them with another side of protein and the lady charged me twice for one of the proteins. When my wife complained, the rude lady charging said it was charged correctly. In addition, an order of Totopos and Pico was $6 dollars. Completely ripped off. I was at Cancun airport and to my devastation the VIP lounge had a 3 hour waiting list that means I had to wait at the regular boarding area with the rest of the peasants for almost 3 hours!! After being in completely shock and disbelief for 5 minutes I wiped my tears and collected myself and decided to venture to a food court to get some food. Let me tell you I was being treated like a prisoner here! The staff were rude and everything cost extra if you are not being careful. And at the end they said they couldn't charge you pesos because their Mexican credit card machine was broken. They wanted to charge me American dollars at their own conversion rate which cost more. This is for the restaurant inside the security area of terminal 3. The food here was actually rather cheap compared to the other options inside the terminal. I also wanted a bit of Mexican food before I left the country. Ordered the tacos plate and some chips and guacamole, was not disappointed at all. The tacos were great, the pollo asado was seasoned well and they weren't skimpy with it all. The sour cream was kinda weird since most Mexicans don't even eat sour cream, but I didn't really care for that stuff. The guacamole here was excellent, which was a good thing considering what the place was named. This place is going to be your best bet if you're stuck inside terminal 3 security. The other options are typical american franchise crap like Dominos and Johnny Rockets. read more

This was my first time trying this chain. After having so much delicious food all over Tulum, I was a bit hesitant to begin with. But then, after taking a mini tour of the airport and having to choose between a pizza and a burger joint, it was a rather easy choice to go this route. Again - making sure not to judge this place and compare it with all the good food I had for the past week and a half (and of course all the weight gain that came with it!) I have to say the place did not disappoint. I went for the beef taco combo which came with a scoop or a dollop each of salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Thanks for the name of the chain - you don't have to pay extra for the guac. In fact, they have salsa and guac that you can take extra in the to-go paper cups. Bonus Bonus!! And given my pre conceived notion that the food won't be too hot n spicy, I asked the lady who was taking my order if they had some hot hot sauce. She asked - green habanero will do? I was like - Yes Please! So the food was hot and I could see the tacos were warmed to my liking. Another check. The protein filling was generous - and hence the high airport prices totally made sense. And of course the hot sauce did it for me - a la my icing on the cake, if I may. Again, if I had to cramp myself in the sea full of travelers at one of the so called dine in restaurants at Terminal 3, I am glad I chose this option and was still sitting in a crowded food court albeit with a much better option. Nothing against boxed to go personal pizzas or good ol burgers, or even airport Chinese food for that matter. Airports are not designed to offer high quality food at reasonable prices. There are exceptions like Legal in BOS, Ivar's in SEA, and the Pappas restaurants in HOU. In the case of Guacamole, ordering two Tortas (Cubano and Maya Pork) plus a bottled water cost like $31. Yikes! Both were pretty good sized sandwiches - like a foot long Subway. Cubano had nice ham and chicken meat and tasted ok. Mayan pork was extremely salty. Bread was soft in both cases. Not the best food option at CUN, so if they're going to charge crazy prices maybe Bubba Gump or Margaritaville is better for a proper departure or carry out meal for the flight home. read more

Well, I know it is airport food so I wasn't expecting much in taste but what I got was so underwhelming that if I wasn't in a hurry, I would have gone back to argue why I deserved cash back! For airport food, Guacamole gets 4 stars. The least expensive in Terminal 3, the food seems pretty fresh, and arrives piping hot and in easy to take-away containers. It was filling, but not overly heavy, and a good amount of food. I'll probably come back here the next time I pass through this airport. read more

Spent more than 12 hours in the ER as a result. Please do not eat here if you value your health.
