Tammy and I decided to have some Mexican food after church and working out at Planet Fitness. Guacamole Grill is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Searcy, and we've been there many times. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in a Mexican theme, and they use a lot of stained glass, which add more class to the place. We went to early services, and we were able to get there before the after-church noon crowd, so we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive and took our orders promptly. Tammy loves their Nachos Mexicano with grilled chicken and all the veggies. Her dish was prepared well and delicious. I had the Tamale Dinner, which was consisted of two large tamales covered with queso and served with their refried beans and Mexican rice. The tamales were exceptionally good! The casings were made from corn meal, as usual, but they were fluffy and moist, which is much different from others I've had. They were filled with a tasty seasoned shredded beef. The meal was filling, and I saved a tamale for later. Another excellent experience! read more

Having grown up in Searcy 1970s, I was absolutely stunned to find liquor by the drink here. It makes all the difference in the world in having decent restaurants, so good for Searcy! On that note. The margarita is pretty good. The menu is extensive with a few vegetarian options listed. The complementary chips and salsa were generous and good. As may be expected for such an establishment on a Friday night, it was pretty loud. My phone app indicated the average volume was around 70 dB with a high of about 80. To be fair, there was one really loud guy a few tables away, but it would've been pretty noisy without him, also. Like so many casual dining places these days, there are almost no soft surfaces and sound just seems to bounce around the room. My server was friendly and efficient, although she didn't come back to check on me after my food had been served. I ordered carnitas, one of my favorite Mexican dishes. The meal included the shredded pork, rice and beans, three taco-sized soft flour tortillas, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. Other than the tortillas, the portion was quite generous, enough for two normal size adult adults. Unfortunately the carnitas were dry, other tinder. In my experience, carnitas usually have a bit of fat and juices but my pork was almost as if it had been pressed to remove most of the moisture. The result was a somewhat bland and less than the sumptuous experience that I usually enjoy. The experience was pretty good, except for my main dish. Other dishes may be just fine but I left a bit disappointed. read more

I absolutely love guacamole grill. I have been coming here ever since they opened in 2020. The food is always good, they are extremely consistent. You get your food so quickly, so if you ever need a quick bite but don't want fast food, this is your place. I specifically love their queso, street tacos, and enchiladas. If you've never tried their fruit waters, try the pineapple, it's so good! I love the vibe inside, the black walls are very nice and modern. read more

One of the better Tex-Mex restaurants in central AR. Park out front and wait for the hostess to seat you (it may take a while to find the hostess). Once seated; the service improved. We started with the Surf & Turf Dip; this is a great value - full of steak, chicken, and shrimp! My rocks Margarita was decent, although light on tequila - but hey, this is a restaurant. Entrees included a Chicken Quesadilla (very good), and Burrito's Leon (tasty and very filling). All in all, well done. Not the cheapest Mexican food in the area, but some of the best! read more

I must be honest I don't typically expect much out of a Mexican restaurant, but this one tucked away in Searcy Arkansas is actually really nice. I can tell they spent a lot of money on this restaurant. Really nice finishes great lighting really good atmosphere and environment. our bartender was super friendly and polite. Very quick service and overall pretty good prices. I would say that in general the food is good, but it didn't stand out over and above any other Mexican restaurant significantly, but it was good food and if I am ever back in Crecy, Arkansas, I will come again! read more

I was so glad they had an open dining room. People were spaced apart and staff wore gloves and masks but they were open for eat in service! The chips and salsa were great - they also have a hot salsa available upon request which was good and hot but not so hot it couldn't be eaten! I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. They came with 3 flower tortillas and the meat had peppers, onions and tomatoes and a great flavor. Beans and rice accompanied plus pico, guacamole and sour cream. I was somewhat reluctant to give this a try due to the low quantity of reviews. Guess you could say I'm a little suspect when reviews are lacking and the ones that are there are mostly 5 Star. Guacamole didn't disappoint. Got the pick your entree combo with an enchilada and a tamale. Living in San Antonio my standards for Mexican food are exceptionally high. The brown sauce is not the classic Tex-Mex chili gravy yet the taste was good. Chips came out fresh and the salsa was excellent. The refried beans had just the right texture and the rice was ...rice. Service was quick during Sunday lunch. Wait staff was attentive and price/value reasonable. Wanted to go to Colton's yet feared Sunday lunch crowd. Very disappointed with this place. The atmosphere is great but when it comes to the food it's a NO from me! I ordered the Burrito Special and it certainly was special. Especially small for a $9 burrito that didn't even come with rice and beans. Little did I know if I had ordered the Burrito Guacamole it would've come with rice & beans and for $.50 less......how does that work? The Burrito Special is a tiny ass basic ground beef burrito most small children could eat and still be hungry. Their menu overall is higher priced than every other Mexican place I've been to aside from a couple upscale ones I've been to. This place is not that upscale. There are much better Mexican options in Searcy that offer bigger portions and better quality at lower prices. Its frustrating to go eat somewhere and leave still hungry. They might have been having an off night, but then again, so many food items were just plain not good. Not bad, but not good either. The small app guacamole was a tiny portion, overloaded with garlic powder, but not much else. The flour tortillas were decent, but the corn on my street tacos was too watery, like it had been in a steamy pan. The basics at a Mexican place are beans and rice. The beans were incredibly runny and the rice need more tomato sauce, a dash of comino, and salt. If they can't nail the basics, things like the meat on the tacos will probably be bland, something proven true here. Our waitress seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else and gave short responses to our questions that were either sleepy or bored. The building is shiny and new and the menu is expansive. It that appeals to you, you'll probably try it out, but if you know what good Mexican should take like, the are much better places in town. read more

This place is fantastic. It's very clean and fresh. The drinks came fast almost in time with the chips and salsa. Chips were fresh and crispy, plenty of salsa as well. I got nachos and they were so good. They had plenty of meat and chicken and the all the yummy fresh toppings. Not to soupy just nice and fresh and fillings. Very good. I'm a nacho nerd! Husband got a ground beef chimichanga and he said it was excellent and he's kinda picky about Mexican. The refried beans were nice and creamy. The staff was excellent- fast and super friendly. Eaten here many, many times and the food is always really good and fresh. So glad to have such a beautiful restaurant in a town the size of Searcy. If you spend enough time looking at the menu, you will find there are numerous options and full explanations of the item. The man complaining about the burrito could have gotten the grande if he wanted a jumbo tortilla and read the menu. If you need a server raise your hand and get someone's attention. Most of the workers are from Mexico and don't speak fluent English so they aren't rude they just don't know how to engage in conversation. I live in Searcy and appreciate that the owner spent a lot of money to build a nice restaurant and sure, you have to charge a little more money, but Taco Bell is just down the road if you aren't happy. These people who leave negative yelp reviews don't know the impact they make. If your margarita isn't frozen ask for a frozen one.
