Dinner with dear friends on a Wednesday night. Part of our party was seared before I arrived and chips, salsa, water and the mist-have queso were already on our table. Pretty sure one basket of chips was from the bottom of the barrel as they were all small pieces, but that didn't stop us from devouring them. The chicken, queso and rice was delicious with plenty leftover to take home for lunch the next day. If you are a local, you are bound to see someone you know when eating here. We went in with 11 of us. Granted, that's a bit more than normal. However, it was lunch so they should have been able to handle a crowd. It took at least ten minutes to even get our orders taken. Then, an hour after we got there several of us had to leave for a meeting and the rest stayed and packed up lunches once they finally arrived. Not once did my drink (or any of them) get refilled. We gave up waiting for our tickets and walked up to pay. 30 minutes just to pay because their machine wasn't working and they had to do everything in the back. Good? Mediocre at best. I paid way too much for Fiesta Egg-rolls I really did not care for. Will I go back? Not willingly. I felt like we were putting the staff out because we were there. Coco's has consistently gone down hill since the day that they opened. The food used to be good and reasonably priced. Even though their price was higher than most other Mexican restaurants, it was comparable. My family had takeout from Coco's tonight and the three of us couldn't have gotten full of the three meals combined. Food was just okay, but was extremely over priced for the portions. This was 100% my last trip to Coco's. I live 3.1 miles from there and I will 1000% drive past there to go anywhere else to eat from now on. P.S. The chips have been burnt every time that I have been there in the last 5 years, approximately 25 trips to Coco's. I would really think that someone would have figured a solution for that by now. We just moved to Ward AR. Haven't been here a full week and I needed some Mexican food. So glad cocos was open, I was hungry. I walked in just after 11am. it was fairly empty, not many tables. So we were sat quickly and the waiter was eager to take our order. We needed a minute to read the menu, since it was our first time. We were given chips and salsa to start, and the salsa was great! I love tacos so it was easy for me to choose. Sweet tea, and Tacos rice and beans is my usual order, but I got a tamale and an enchilada too. The food seems to really have fallen off the wagon, it used to be great but now it's more towards alcohol and drinks. The service is pretty good not complaints there besides running out of refills and chips but they were very friendly. Just no seasoning and food has become very bland. read more

Being connected to a gas station I was a bit skeptical at first, but I was so pleasantly surprised. This has become a regular staple at our house for takeout! This has been one of our favorite restaurants for years!! Sadly it has gone downhill. Went last weekend and ordered cheese dip. It was so runny it was basically milk. The chips were all broken little pieces. My husband and I have been in and out of the restaurant business for over 20 years so it takes a lot for us to complain. Service was great but the food does not taste good anymore, Their cheese dip is so runny, ordered a large bowl of basically milk in texture. This cheese dip is what is on and inside the orders we ordered, making it super soggy and runny. Blah. I ordered the Cinco de Cocos. The ground beef and chicken had no flavor, the chicken was juicy though. All the flavor came from the sauce which tasted the same as the store bought stuff. The tamales were so bland that I couldn't even force myself to eat it. The service was lacking as well. I asked for a Coke and when I received the drink it most definitely didn't taste like Coke so I told the waiter when he came back. He said "it's Pepsi" as if they were the same thing, which they are not even close to the same thing in my opinion. Had he mentioned that when I ordered then I would have ordered the sweet tea, which I ended up getting. Then he never offered to refill it when it was empty. Was very displeased at my experience with the staff at Cocos. If I could give zero stars I would, but sadly that isn't an option. My son got sick while eating--this wasn't even the problem as he does this sometimes. Anyhow, I took my son (he is five) to the bathroom to throw up (which he always makes it to the toilet every time--no trails of vomit to the toilet). While he was in the middle of puking his guts out, one of the staff saw him actively vomiting and said that she was sorry he was sick. All of this was fine and I figured that she would then notify the proper people to clean around the toilet and disinfect (as there were no cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc with which to clean up visible vomit and I was also busy with a sick kid + my four month old who was still at the table with my husband and in-laws). So with that having happened, I went back and sat down. Not five minutes later the same woman came and tapped me on the shoulder and handed me a roll of paper towels demanding that I clean up the vomit and saying that she would disinfect after I removed the visible vomit (thank gosh she was going to disinfect). I'm fine to clean up after my sick child, after all I am the parent. However, they handled this situation extremely poorly and not to mention, in front of everyone which was highly embarrassing. The worst part was honestly the fact that the same woman demanding I clean the vomit, was the same one that witnessed my son and I in the bathroom while he was ill. Not once did she ask if there was anything she could do or offer me any warm, damp towels, any paper towels, or even any gloves KNOWING that the bathroom only had an automatic hand drier! What was I going to do? Clean it up with toilet paper!?! I will also say, I probably did not handle the situation on my end like I should have either. I should have gone and told staff, not assuming the staff member would see this go down and tell the person assigned to clean bathrooms (because that's what you do when you work ((also knowing that the said toilet would need to be disinfected regardless))), but again I did have my hands full with my sick five year old and a four month old child at the table. Maybe help a mama out next time, staff? In the 20+ years that I have been alive, I have never been asked to clean up vomit after an accident in a public restroom inside a business. Again, if the necessary supplies would have been there, I would have cleaned it without being asked. I will also say that if I was on staff and I knew someone had gotten sick, I would have offered help or assistance in some way and I was not offered either. The sad part of the whole ordeal is that I probably will no longer give Coco's my business due to the way in which I was treated so rudely and not offered any help. So lesson for Coco's, next time a mother or father of young children needs help or support, please do the kindness of offering them help and support--especially in public AND at a restaurant which can be a hard place to be with young children. Wouldn't you want someone to do that for you, staff? You can say parents can just not come if it's that hard, but sometimes we need to go out and feel normal several months after the birth of a child! We ate there on a Saturday afternoon. Our grandson immediately got sick and had to vomit in the bathroom. There were no paper towels or cleaning supplies to clean the toilet. one of the workers was actually in the bathroom with us and did not ask if we needed help or supplies to clean. we sat back down and the manager came to get us to go clean the bathroom. we explained that there were no supplies to do that. she went and got cleaning supplies and made us go clean the bathroom. it makes me wonder if they ever clean the bathroom? read more
