I will start by saying: we will come back and try again. I am including an updated menu picture and the fall specials. They have a new A/C unit. We got the okra appetizer which gave us access to the $5 margaritas. Not strong but fine. Not the best, too sweet. They came with a gummy worm for Halloween which was cute. The okra was *chef's kiss* crispy and perfect. I got the crab cake burger and sweet potato fries based on reviews. The crab cake alone was delicious. The angus beef alone was great. Together was interesting. The sweet potato fries come with a dusting of sugar which I was not expecting. They were very crispy. I just wish they didn't coat them in more sugar. The honey dip was a yummy touch. My husband got the alligator bites basket which came with slaw and shoestring fries. The fries were perfect. The alligator bites were great! The slaw is creamy and tasty. The bar had Scooby Doo blasting. The seating was fine and they had an outdoor area.

Some friends and I had lunch here today. The food was outstanding. Two of us had the salmon that rested on some onions and brussel sprouts! One guy had the Benedict that was topped with crab and cheesy grits on the side. He loved it. Our waitress was awesome, got orders to us quickly and with a great attitude while doing it! I had eaten there before and will continue to bring folks in to enjoy this great restaurant!

Red snapper, sweet potato fries (a must with the honey dip) and fried okra

Highlights: fish, $23, was over cooked and "1lb" crab was $40. Get the sweet potato fries and honey dip. 3.5 and here's why, got the crab plate and the wife had the snapper. Snapper was over cooked but not too terribly bad. The crab plate came out and was presented two clusters unseasoned. Not really a "full pound" but kinda of used to it since that's the way some seafood places serve it. First cluster was cooked perfectly. The second could have been cooked for about a minute longer. The thing that got me though was the crab was WAY above market price. $40 for not even a pound. Wish I had known that before ordering instead of it being the normal market price of $22-28 for a pound. MIGHT be back if they lower the prices.

Food is always phenomenal. Catfish filets are battered and cooked to perfection. The margaritas are so good. You can taste the alcohol. Mango and strawberry are frozen. They have wine, beer, and hard liquor. The top shelf margarita is so good. The crab legs are so easy to eat. Cooked perfectly. The seafood platter is awesome. The chicken tenders are good as well. The brussel sprouts appetizer is yummy. The mozzarella sticks are ok. The coconut shrimp is a good appetizer. Queso is made in house. It is pretty good. The crab cakes are good too. The only thing we really have not liked is the mashed potatoes. All the tacos are good. Wraps are good too. Tried almost everything on the menu. Staff is always super friendly. There is patio seating too.

Mahi mahi with Brussels sprouts and coleslaw

I wasn't sure what to expect when we got to Austin's. The place was completely empty and it felt like the AC was out. The oyster appetizer was great, no complaints. I got the mahi mahi and my wife got the shrimp and grits. The mahi looked well seasoned but I quickly realized that it was severely overcooked. It wasn't tender and flaky, more rock solid like a frozen piece of fish that had been thrown in a skillet. And while the outside looked seasoned, to my surprise the actual taste was pretty bland. My wife's shrimp and grits was a bit better. The shrimp was cooked pretty perfect but the base had a hint of sweetness and not enough heat for my liking, but the wife seemed to enjoy it! Definitely worth a try and maybe your experience will be better.

    "Angry Bird" Chicken sandwich

Small hidden secret! Every plate was fantastic! Ordered oysters on the half shell and they were colossal!!! Waitress Zoe, was super sweet and not only helped with meal decisions, but came back quite often to check on us! I had fish tacos (amazing!) came w fresh tortilla chips, guacamole, etc. YUM! Also at our table was the fried shrimp platter, Crab cake burger and the "Angry Bird" Chicken sandwich (ALL amazing!) However, the biggest "WOW" was for the Fried Brussels Sprouts!!! Fried and gently coated in parm cheese and honey. I DO NOT LIKE Brussels, but was eating THESE like candy!! YUMMY!!

Food quality was less than desirable. Also, the A/C was broken. I did not enjoy the food I had there.

You can make reservations or just walk in. They offer a variety of seating options. Bar, tables or booths. My favorite appetizers are sweet potato fries and Parmesan zucchini. Perfection in taste and serving sizes. During this visit I chose the rib eye steak . It was cooked to my request, flavorful and very tender. For my sides I chose a fully loaded potato and buttered corn Serving sizes are large, I have enough leftovers to take home for at least q more meal. It is a bit on the chilly side so bring a sweater or light jacket. Give Mike'S a try, you won't regret it.

Besides the reviews here I had heard from a few locals that this place was a good place for dinner and nobody has anything bad to say about it. I'm happy to confirm that was the same result for us. We were seated quickly even without a reservation around 5:30 this evening. We ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer and a round of cocktails. They were served fairly quickly considering how busy they were at the time. For dinner I got the pecan crusted white fish and my friend got the blackened white fish. Both tasted delicious which was great. My wife got a Cesar salad and a loaded bake potato and it was also good. The service was great as well. The waiter and other staff were very attentive and checked on us regularly. The overall feel of the place is casual upscale. It's nice without being fancy. It has kind of a rustic vibe to it that is nice to look at. We enjoyed our experience here and would come back again when we're in town.

We were cordially greeted as we entered and seated immediately. The lunch rush was over, so the restaurant wasn't busy but other times, they can be very busy. Emily W. was our server, and she was very friendly and attentive and took care of all our dining needs. My wife had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with steamed broccoli, fried okra and garlic bread. She received a good portion of fish that was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The broccoli was fresh and delicious and had a garlic butter sauce, and the fried okra was super good with a crispy crust and seasoned well. I ordered the lunch Smash Burger with fries. This was a very well prepared smash burger, pressed thin with a good crust developed. It comes on a toasted bun with pickles, sautéed onions, American cheese and their special smash sauce. I ordered the candied jalapeños as well for an upcharge of $1. The jalapeños made the burger amazing! The fries appeared handcut and prepared well with good seasoning.
