Great food and service! Me and my husband have loved this place since moving to Searcy:)

Searcy is known for a surfeit of Mexican dining options, and I have slowly been trying them all. I've had the same favorite in town for nearly 20 years, but their quality is slipping. Hence, it was time to try what is to me the newest Mexican spot in town. It's a relatively small space, but what it lacks in volume it more than makes up for in quality and flavor. I ordered the Dos Amigos burritos plate: one steak and one chicken. Both were good, but the steak exists on a higher plane. A few other places use low quality beef for their steak, but Nopal was using good, flavorful beef. The verde sauce on top was delicious and mixed well with the cheese dip. The rice and beans were OK, but they weren't the stars of the show. Service was attentive and prompt. The pair who were working were exceedingly friendly. Great spot for Ark-Mex! read more

I have never been here and decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Was not disappointed. Ordered enchiladas and a tamale. Both were great. The salsa was nice and flavorful. Service was quick and the server was nice and attentive. Nothing fancy but a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. read more

We were greeted right away and shown to our table. My friend and I split the birria tacos, which were delicious. We couldn't even finish the 3 tacos between the 2 of us. Chips and salsa were also yummy. They serve coke products, which was a plus for me. read more

This cozy and fabulously clean restaurant is simply amazing! First of all, no wait but not to say this place wasn't busy. - it had a steady flow of customers eating in and taking out. Every food had its own distinct flavor - from the salsa AND fresh tortilla chips to my absolutely delicious vegetarian quesadilla to the rice and especially the guacamole! Hubby had the tamales and he loved them. Prices were super reasonable for the quality and they have a special lunch menu in addition to their dinner menu. My biggest problem was that I totally overate the mouthwatering salsa and chips and wanted to eat my entire meal, so I was pretty full belly when we left. We are moving to Searcy this Spring from California and just made a trip to town to check out the property. We were really afraid that the Mexican food in Arkansas would be disappointing but dinner here was amazing. I'm vegetarian and had the veggie fajitas- ¡Muy Delicioso! The restaurant is impeccably clean and the staff welcoming. We are so glad we found El Nopal Tapatio, and will be regulars! read more

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in town-and we've got a LOT! Looking at their menu, a lot of their dishes seem to be the same as the other restaurants, but let me tell you-the flavor and quality are so much better. They also have lots of items that the others don't-their carnitas street tacos are one of my favorites!!! The owners and staff are always so welcoming and helpful too; they will make dish suggestions if you ask and they've never steered us wrong. Even when they're super busy, you don't feel like they're trying to rush you out. Definitely a favorite! read more

Have eaten here several times while in Searcy. Super friendly and the food is really good. Hours are 10:30am to 9:00 pm every day!
