Johnathan and his Team's charm and professionalism was just beyond. They were there before we woke up and stayed several times after 5pm. We needed our basement refinished after some water damage and demo a French Drian was installed. They installed new stairs, framing, electrical and dry wall. Not to mention jacking up our house to replace the main joist! We're amazed at how he was able to maximize the space for the area we wanted. We were able to comfortably work out little changes along the way. Johnathan said to me at one point " I want it to look like it would in my own home!" I really could go on and on. Just know this is not AI this is a real honest review!! We absolutely will be contacting Fowlers Home Improvement for all our projects in the future and so should you!

After multiple discoveries racking up in cost, we finally decided to email them. They were prompt with a response and a refund. We only asked for a refund for the work we found problems with, which was roughly 1/3 of the cost we paid for all of the work that they did.

We had a major project with a deck remodel and adding a screened patio below. We opted for metal framing and the crew they used had never done this so the job was mediocre at best. After completion of the project, we discovered a leak from the upper deck to the space below that was not present prior and they refused to come out and fix it claiming that it was not part of the project. These are just the main issues, I could go on quite a bit longer but all I will say is that, considering the price they charge it is absolutely not worth it. We went with a "brand" rather than "Joe Builder" to have protection & a warranty. But when it came down to it, archadeck regional told us they had no involvement and we had to deal with Brian/the franchise we hired, who basically told us tough luck. Nobody stands behind their work and comes out to fix anything. They've even gone so far as to delete our negative review on other platforms! Steer clear!

This $86,000 is a nightmare. The project was completed 2 weeks and 2 rains ago and we are looking…read morefor a company to come fix our new renovation. Due to character and picture limits, I cannot show many of the other items. Brian Zdgiebloski provided the highest quote but the best description of the project, drawings and a promise of quality to be backed by the Archadeck Business Model. This seemingly collapsed upon final payment and addressing of the post-rain issues. Tranquility Home formally told us in writting, to cease all communication and go through Archadeck. Nobody came out to inspect or investigate the issues (after the final walkthrough where the rain problems occurred), and told us that the contract did not specify that the water was to be channeled towards the gutters, and that it was designed to flow backwards to the firewood storage area. I mentioned that I would be leaving a negative review after consulting industry professionals. We pointed out wavy siding, nails protruding, hammer marks and sharp edges. Some were fixed. Trim is inconsistent. The material used to make the wall between the living area and storage area, PVC I think, already needs to be painted, the faded yellowish PVC wall is pictured. I brought this up, they said that fading is normal and I can paint it whatever color I decide at my cost. The existing patio lights were damaged and scratched during construction. Additionally, several old nails, brackets and construction debris are scattered in our firewood as it was not covered by the crew. I reached the picture limit or would show the massive pile of sharp trash. The added pictures show the water channeled into the wood storage area, the water soaking 2 feet up the wall and soaking into the foundation of the wall. We are currently working on getting quotes from other companies to fix this. Michael said that our failure to review the designs should be a learning experience for us, but they are covered with the contract wording and do not consider this as a design flaw. There are 9 channels and 9 gutters that correctly channel water as intended. The problem water is being channeled backwards; to the right (depicted as a blue line), in a 10th channel that has no forward drain, this is why I consider it a design flaw. Our wood storage area has been dry for the 6 years we lived here, until a light rain after the project completion. After over 2 weeks I personally had to research and cite Virginia health code to get the work site porta potty cleaned for the first time, pictured. The wavy siding and inconsistent trim were explained on the final walk through as doing the best they could, and typical. The hammer marks and damaged lights were attributed to the NAVA Contracting crew and also within the scope of the contract. NAVA Contracting did many things right, and the overall space is great. I do wish we interviewed them instead. The "Archadeck markup" seemed reasonable due to Brian's promise of quality, but I felt zero value due to my perception of poor quality. I recommend that you interview and hire the people that will actually be doing the work. I had 3 times as much written and twice as many pictures. The lack of quality was NOT worth top dollar in MY Opinion. I escalated the problem the Brand President Michael Reeder. I am having difficulty finding if there is an Archadeck National level to escalate to, and the many different companies presents its own challenges. The Builder as per the DPOR License is "Tranquility Home INC", the Contractor as per the work truck was NAVA Contracting LLC (I was not given License or information for the actual builders, but they are Class A, active), the Supervisor as per the Website and Supervisor truck was Archadeck. The warranty form and formal Contract shows "Tranquility Home INC DBA Archadeck of Fredericksburg - Woodbridge". The insurance shows "Tranquility Home INC DBA Archadeck of Fredericksburg". I post this review and pictures (Pictures are shared on my Google Review) to share my opinion and my experience. I hope it helps other researchers avoid the hiring mistakes I made.

Among the things he called me was "fucking idiot" and "coward." He also wanted to "meet" me somewhere. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We needed some major repairs to our deck railings which were in danger of coming apart. After searching Yelp and Google, we came across this business and it looked as if they were exactly what we needed. Their website specifically mentioned no job too big or small and that they specialized in the type of repair we needed done. Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, we really wanted to hire them. So, on the morning of September 3rd, we called and left a message on their answering machine giving them our name, phone number and a very brief message about what we needed done. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for a return call. The good news is that we got the repairs done this week by another contractor we had used in the past for other things. Sorry to say, it appears this company is out of business. It's too bad; it looks like they did good work.

Unfortunately he had taken on one too many contracts and hired a subcontractor who was awful. Showed up late daily, brought their child to our home (which we would have been liable for if an accident occurred), worked few hours, never met commitments, used bad or broken equipment which resulted in an inferior deck, etc. A two week project lagged on for months. We asked Dennis several times to intercede and correct the problem but he said he didn't have the capacity not means to do anything about the problem. Dennis then had the audacity to want payment for a complete job when only at 85%. Stupidly I paid him in full. Deck was never completed. The only reason I gave two stars was he was inexpensive and choose to use an ex-convect trying to get his feet back under himself. Sadly Dennis didn't take responsibility for any of the poor quality workmanship nor the sporadic and delayed work that occurred resulting in numerous delays. My husband and I had to finish the job. I would not recommend him.

You are charged at least $850.00 for him to visit your property to review the work that is needed to be performed. That fee is added to your final bill. (2) His claims of STONEWOOD are suspect. His is extremely evasive when additional information is requested - referring you to the "internet". When one does a web search on "STONEWOOD", it goes his web site. He REFUSES to provide any information on that product, including an MSDS. His price for "STONEWOOD" is at least 100% times of that of what seems to be an equivalent product from Home Depot. He delivers that "STONEWOOD" product in an unmarked 2.5-gallon plastic container. When pressed on the STONEWOOD "lifetime warranty" he claims it's with the manufacturer (which he refuses to provide any additional information AND one cannot find on a web search) warranty, not with him. (3) His "Deep Wood Fungus Killer" seems to be nothing more than a highly concentrated bleach solution. (4) He WILL NOT allow you to purchase your own supplies. He claims his "4 times retail" charge is needed to allow him to pay his subcontractors. (5) The payment schedule in his contact is biased toward him. He demands cash/check payment with every milestone the he defines. He does not accept credit card.
