They called me and told me it was done. They must be miracle workers if they can pull, rebuild and re-install a transmission in 4 hours. I got the car back, and it was worse than when I dropped it off. Now instead of banging into 2nd, it was a long soft shift (probably burning the torque converter up). They said it would "wear in" and the problem would clear up. I owned the car for 15 years, and it never was "fine" after that. I also noticed at that time, that they put a hole in the coolant line, to which they charged me another $195 to fix even though I'm certain it was their fault. About a week later, I noticed that all they did was put on about 50 cents worth of rubber hose and 2 clamps and charged me $195 for that! I literally scrapped the car because they ruined it. Why I didn't just pay more and take it to ETE I'll never know. Never, ever again. RUN!

I have a 1990 Prevost bus. It was privately converted including a massive engine swap. On my…read morelatest trip, the bus developed a strange lurch and vibration on the road. Several shops looked at it one changed the driveshaft u-joints and the others couldn't find a problem. Went for a test ride with one of Mayer's technicians. He said it wasn't the transmission or rear end, seemed odd. We got back to the shop and within 30 seconds he'd found the problem. Two structural braces that hold the rear end had cracked and broke! I quickly agreed to let them do the repairs (they have a certified welder) along with a few other maintenance items such as changing the oil, lubricating the chassis. Picked it up today and could not be happier, besides their impressive technical knowledge, the customer service was amazing. They found several other minor problems and fixed all of them. The price was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier. It can be difficult to find honest, completent service for Prevost buses. I've just found one that I will take all my bus business to. I live in Grafton, about 40 miles away from his shop, and gladly trailer my cars 45 minutes each way for the quality service he provides. I wish I'd found him earlier. His guys always get the job done, they know exactly what to do and they make sure it's done right. On multiple occasions they've gone the extra mile for a repair. For example, I went to pick up my 1985 Corvette once and one of the techs was just finishing up hosing out the radiator ducting of leaves that had accumulated--and the repair wasn't even related to that. Bill knows Corvettes inside and out and, despite always being busy, is willing to take the time to talk about an issue and convey what he knows and recommends. I live in fear that he'll retire one day soon--I'm not sure who I'll trust my Vettes with in the future were that to happen. Yelp! I'm begging you not to sideline this review as "not recommended." I had my truck towed to Muskego Automotive as they had fixed my brake lines in April 2017, I assumed was a similar problem. I received a call later on, that it in fact, it was the right rear caliper that had leaked or broke or whatever. This was to be free of charge to fix, great. Well not really, they took it upon themselves to "inspect" and take apart my front brakes and left rear brakes when not asked to do so. Quoting me a cost of $770 to replace rotors and pads on all. When I said I would rather not replace all of that at this point, I was told he wouldn't put it together and HE felt it needed to be done, pretty much FORCED work I did not want done to pad his pocket. Then the next day I receive a call that they had an "incidental" finding and had to replace yet another part, that of course was replaced with out calling me first. Now my bill is up to $1000.04. Really??? I am a single mom paying for my daughter's college, just replaced a furance, need to replace a sewage pipe, have numerous other expenses I am paying and a hefty mortgage on top of that. I was forced to replace all rotors and pads and a 2nd caliper when all I wanted was the right rear brake issue fixed. I feel he forced services I didn't ask for nor could afford to pad his pocket, not ok at all, leaves me paying other things late and not at all happy.... oh, and to top it off we go to pick it up and magically it would be $900.00 if I would pay in cash.... I did feel he felt he could take advantage of my being a female. VERY SHADY in my opinion.
