Matthew, the project manager, kept me informed of scheduling and what to expect at every step. Ryan and Matthew were on site for all of the job and Ryan was up on the roof a good portion of the day making sure the job was done right. Ryan, Matthew, and the crew went over and above. They solved several problems we had. They even saved us money on the day of installation by pointing out we had copper flashing around our chimneys, which is superior to aluminum. My home inspector said absolutely not, call someone else. Another estimate came from a company that didn't even come to the house. I told them what my inspector thought was the issue and he quoted me a price solely based on that. Feeling super defeated, I ended up calling Ryan at Elegant Exteriors for a 3rd and final consult. I definitely saved the best for last because Ryan was phenomenal. He was up on the roof before I knew it taking pictures and surveying everything. He showed me what he felt was the issue and his prices were very reasonable. He was such a pleasure to work with too- just a genuinely nice, helpful, and honest guy. I hired Munz Roofing and Siding to complete a siding project, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. Overall, Munz was professional, honest, communicative, and highly skilled from start to finish. I could not recommend this company enough. A gentleman named Carmelo came to the house and I soon realized I was in store for a lengthy, rehearsed, in-your-face, hard sell schtick. His performance was Oscar-Worthy. He also curiously said that he was a Christian man, which completely took me by surprise and offended me ( I am not a Christian). It implied that Christians were self-righteously better than other people. He continued his performance inside, showing me a demonstration prop of the "special" Green Guard Raindrop House Wrap. Needless to say, this house wrap was exorbitantly priced. At the end of his performance (after 2 hours) he writes up the estimate by hand and the price is an astounding $9000 for a small section of siding needing to be replaced. Needless to say, I did not hire East Coast even with a "generous" Economic Relief Rebate Program (East Coast's fancy-named so-called discount) of $1300.
