Blur Cycleworks - Back tire bolts weren't tightened and back tire wasn't centered to the frame which made my chain become loose as well.

Had a great experience with Erick at Bicycle Blur Cycle Works today. I originally went in thinking…read moreI had a flat tire, but Erick quickly figured out it was actually a gasket issue with the tube. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to check over the rest of the bike to make sure everything else was in good shape. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping customers and making sure the bike is safe and riding properly. Overall, excellent customer service and a really positive experience. I definitely recommend this shop and truly appreciate Erick's help!

Unfortunately, when I got home and started riding, it took less than a minute for the rear tire and chain to become loose. The tire was rubbing against the frame, making the bike unsafe to ride. While I was in the shop waiting to pay, I also overheard the employees discussing another customer who apparently had arrived to pick up their bike before being notified that the bike was ready. The way the mechanic spoke about the situation came across as unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Reminding the customer who was probably waiting as long or longer than I was for their bike back but the way it was being discussed sounded very rude to discuss in front of another customer. I understand that repairs can take time, but waiting more than 24 hours for a basic flat-tire repair only to have the bike come back with a loose tire and chain was extremely disappointing. I did not contact the shop afterward to complain. Instead, I decided to take my bike elsewhere and share my experience here. There are plenty of bike shops in the Austin area that seem to understand how important it is for riders to get their bikes back safely and promptly. If you're in Round Rock or the surrounding area, I would recommend going elsewhere rather than choosing this shop simply because it's nearby.

They literally dropped everything to fix my flat tire to get me back on the road. They do it with humility and a smile. All other shops are just not as good as this one. This shop is special. If you need a bike or repairs to your bike, get your butt to this shop!!! They will take care of you for a fair price and not remind you how little you know about bikes. They took the time to educate me on my bike and the various details so I can maximize my riding pleasure. Did I mention how rad they are???

I took my Aventon E-bike in for a tune-up service and even paid in advance. When I picked it up,…read morethe display was improperly installed; it was crooked. But the most disappointing event was that my Aventon lock, a $70.00 item, was missing. I called immediately and explained the situation, and was instantly told my lock was not on the bike when I dropped it off and that I was mistaken. Talk about a slap in the face. I trusted that facility and was met with this. I will never return and will share the situation with my fellow riders. I had hoped that they would be a dependable partner in maintaining my bicycle, but that will not be the case. And to be told I don't know my bike is truly condescending. I guess the small amount I spent, $130.00, was good enough for them, that they would forfeit any further purchases. I can buy another lock; that's not a problem. But if considering their services, I would think twice and definitely seek service elsewhere.

This is a brand new bicycle shop here in austin. I think this is going to turn out to be one of the…read moremore popular bicycle shops in the city. They are near a winery and there's a pizza shop and a arcade all within walking distance. The owner is pretty young guy, so you got to love young entrepreneurs. Of all the places for a person to start a business, he decided to start it here in Austin even though he is from houston. They will sell the sit down tricycle type of bike, it's actually called a TerraBike. I brought three bikes and he got them in quick, the pricing was great, comparable to other bike shops. I got great updates about my bike especially when a part had to be ordered and that's no fault of his, I just had to wait for the part to get here. I did see that there were other people that were here the same day of the grand opening like me so hopefully word is getting out. They also sell other items inside if you are interested in accessories for your bike. I saw a wide variety of bikes in there so it doesn't really matter what you have, if it is a cycle, I'm sure that he can work on it. Every time I come in here I seem to learn something new about a bicycle because this guy is doing something from scratch. It's cool to see a artist working at his art /craft.
