I asked several times whether we were within the quote, and the price implications of several items he had recommended. None was provided at any point, and he did the work without providing the estimate I requested - then demanded to be paid for it. We had a sick newborn and were in the hospital for a portion of the job (though we were in frequent communication); I didn't expect Sergio to take advantage of that situation to significantly overcharge us and do work that was not in the brief. He also charged us about double for the paint the purchased, without a receipt (even when we requested through our contractor), and left 20 half used cans of paint unlabeled in our garage. The quality of the work was good, but completed before our project was done and they did work we never would have chosen to prioritize (painting a door our dogs scratch, which has already been destroyed again). Because the work on our house is ongoing, we're doing touch ups ourself to avoid having him back. Really scammy, low integrity, and over priced. Look elsewhere.

The De Martini quote was thorough, detailed and specific and Hector explained the process to me to understand what needed to be done to make them look great. He was also a great help in coming to my apartment to show paint colors and helped me match to the other finishes I was looking at, and went the extra mile to rush me large paint samples to review during times that worked with my schedule. All of my communications were promptly and kindly addressed. The work was done very quickly, the team who worked in my apartment followed all Covid protocols, were very friendly, personable, respectful, and clean. I had all of my kitchen cabinets and center island, as well as a bathroom vanity re-finished. The grain of the bamboo is imperceptible now- they look brand new despite being at least 15 years old. The finish work they did was also top notch. They drilled and installed pulls on all the doors, and put in bumper pads on the interior that blended with the different colors. Unfortunately for me he decided to leave the company and I wound up working with Patrick Miller. I came in and sat down with Patrick and gave him the dimensions of the piece of custom furniture. You have to give a deposit and sign a written contract with the agreed upon dimensions and price and send it back before they will start on the project which is a good thing. Unfortunately for me Patrick could not envision the final use and sent me another proposal that would not have worked at three times the expense. I thought the hours burdened on my project were excessive and Patrick was late by a couple of weeks in delivery and did not even consider that in the final price. He indicated it took more hours than estimated to make. Apparently they like to cater to large projects by those whom cost is not a consideration. It arrived and was the right dimensions so it worked out for me, but the huge costs and delays would have me hesitate ever using them again. I think Seth might have worked out a better deal for me had he not left the company.
