We called 3 companies for quotes and GGP was out on the same day to survey the house. On that day they gave me paper copies of their license and insurance information as well brochures for the multiple different paint company options for us to choose from. The job was started within two weeks of our first call (1 week was due to us waiting on other quotes). Our prep work was done thoroughly for both the wood and stucco. Alejandro was very responsive to my questions and requests along the way. In the end, the paint job looks fantastic and we are very happy with our choice to go with Golden Gate painting.

They were prompt, communication is top notch (Hector actually answers the phone) and when we had a couple of issues they came right back and took care of it. I'm very picky when it comes to details, and I was genuinely impressed by how meticulous they were throughout the entire project. They did a tremendous amount of prep work both inside and outside, especially around the trim, to make sure everything looked clean, crisp, and properly finished -- a huge improvement over the sloppy paintwork that had been there before. They also helped us with color selection, which we really appreciated, and made the whole process incredibly easy. Paint was included in the quote and they handled purchasing everything for us. Inside, they were extremely careful about protecting our home, floors, and belongings and making sure there were no drips or messes. Most importantly, they completed everything on time while still giving every part of the project the attention to detail it deserved. A huge thank you to the entire team for all of your hard work! Alberto was detailed in his approach to our exterior paint, as he had to correct some shoddy work our contractor did. After patching up holes and issues in the stucco, Alberto used three different types of primer instead of a universal primer to prepare our house exterior for paint. Alberto stressed two coats of primer as well as two coats of paint for the best finish. He also had to stain a door to match our existing garage door and did an amazing job. In addition to excellent workmanship, Alberto was a pleasure to work with. He showed up to the job site regularly to ensure the work was being completed as promised and was excellent at communicating with us. He made our house look so good several neighbors are preparing to use him for their exterior paint jobs. When it is time to paint our exterior, I will be going back to Alberto.

From the initial consultation to project completion, Alberto and crew were professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I was impressed with Alberto from our initial appointment. Most contractors will give you a 2 hour appointment window. Alberto said he would arrive at 10 am, and he knocked on my door at 10 on the dot. His crew was on time every single day. During the consultation he pointed out several things that needed attention that other contractors either missed or ignored. Best of all, he came back with a fair and reasonable price. The crew was meticulous during the prep phase, with extensive dry rot repair, wood replacement, sanding, patching, scraping, stucco crack repair, sealing, caulking, you name it. I was very pleased with the amount of time and care they took, which showed in the final result. We love the final product and it gave the house a facelift that took 70 years off. I had 5 estimates and decided to go with Howard. He wasn't the cheapest, but his price is very fair! Very reasonable. But the VALUE was what I got out of it. He went through the technical details of what he was going to do, and his crew delivered! His crew, Juan, is super experienced. He did all the tedious work that makes the difference of how the paint looks. I didn't know this, but the prep work is one of the MOST important things to get done for paint to stick. They pressure washed it, sanded down any bad rot, cleaned off as much dirt and old paint as possible, filled in the patches, taped all the doors and windows, then put on primer and 2 coats of paint. He sprayed and rolled it over, which most painters did not offer. This paint job will last 10-15 years easy because of his fine details. The house is more than 80 years old and needed a major make over. His knowledge went beyond just paint. He knew stuff about the roof, the wood, and the ventilation of the house. The roofing job done on our house had a slight oversight and didn't install a roof ventilation, and we were able to have our roofer someback and fix it. He pointed out the dry rots before we started work. Not only that, he went above and beyond to fill in a few patches, installed some basic window trims at no cost. Due to privacy these days, I won't post all the photos of the house. But we are very happy with our exterior paintjob. he also did a wonderful job on my interior orange door that I posted here. I would hire Howard back in a heartbeat for the next project. Thanks guys!
