Some will have a chemical taste. Since it was only 7 minutes away from Cajun Stop we decided to check out the sno ball place near UofH. Sno balls are a big summer dessert in New Orleans. The texture of the sno was great but the flavors weren't as good as Hansen's Sno Bliz in New Orleans, so I'm not sure I need to be a regular there. The menu covers a lot of snack options there like funnel cakes, frito pies, Kool-aid pickles, hot dogs, tacos, fries, corn in a cup, nachos, and deep fried snickers, Oreos, and Twix. I liked the UofH mural on the wall.

The hot dog was okay, but the drinks were definitely the highlight for me. One thing to keep in mind is that this place is cash only. I made the mistake of ordering before realizing it, and when I went to the nearby gas station to get cash, they ended up selling my order to someone else and had to remake it when I got back, which was a little disappointing. Overall, I'd definitely come back again for the aguas frescas because the drinks were really good!

I wasn't expecting much other than something to cool down from this Texas heat. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I order a Pomegranate flavored snoball. They are generous with the syrup. The flavor was perfect for my taste buds not too sweet but just right. The ice texture was good too. It (ice) was soft so it soaked up the flavor of the syrup. I only paid $4 for a small. I've been coming here for years, usually sneaking away at lunch with a coworker, and it's one of those spots that just never misses. The setup is half the charm. Plenty of outdoor seating, shaded tables, and even a boat you can sit in, which somehow makes a snow cone feel like a mini getaway instead of a quick stop. The move is simple. Bring your own lunch, grab a table, and then finish strong with a snow cone. The flavor list is massive, and they've even got sugar-free options if you're trying to keep things a little more dialed in. Pro tip: get it with cream. It takes it from good to great. Extra cream if you're doing it right. Service is quick, but don't be surprised if there's a line when it's blazing outside. That just means everyone else has the same idea. Easy 10/10 kind of place. Great vibe, super consistent, and one of the best ways to beat a Houston summer.

I haven't had ice cream like this in forever. I would probably lose control if this was self-serve. The vanilla cone I got was also good as well. The ice cream was just as indulgent and silky. The chocolate coating was also good. However, the texture of the coating didn't offer a classic snap or crunch that I prefer. It was slightly softer than that. Nevertheless, the ice cream overall was superb! Would definitely order from Moooseum if I see them again.

The chocolate cone on the other hand tasted a bit stale to me. It didn't have that crunch that I like in cones. Might just be the chocolate cone though... Also note, for the cones, you can only get dipped toppings and not toppings on the sundae (was slightly confused by this when ordering). I think dipped toppings options are sprinkles or drizzles on top. I saw someone else get the brain freeze which is like a slushie with soft serve in the middle and it looked awesome and she said it was really good. So I'll probably opt for that next time since the cone was just average. Cute truck with great soft serve!
