Made an appointment thinking it was with a CPA. When I arrived I was met by one of the sons, who is…read morenot a CPA, can't answer my tax questions and is filling out a form on a computer with my information (which was basically the same information that I could've filled out on my own on Turbo Tax). We get to an impasse where we can't finish my taxes because they're just a bit more complicated than a basic 1040 form and his father, the actual CPA, is unavailable. I made an appointment with a CPA because I knew I needed one. I did not get one here. I left with my taxes unfinished and a business card and was told to make another appointment when I was ready to complete my taxes (without a CPA as I understood it). Needless to say, I did not return. Why would anyone want to pay to have their taxes done by a person with no tax experience or certification? I could do that myself on Turbo Tax with probably better results.
