Horrible experience! Customer service wise ! First and last time going here ! Went out to have a good time , at least I thought on a Sunday night ! Went to the bar with my boyfriend and ordered drinks I ordered a lemon drop ! The bartender rolled her eyes ! Her entire body language was negative and I said what happened and she said " I don't feel like making it that's why "! She said she didn't want to make the lemon drop , then I suggested that ok then fine make whatever you want a specialty something ! She goes no I am going to make what want . At least maybe suggest something!! What did she want me to order a beer!! Or she felt the lemon drop had to many ingredients.. which is not the case!! Just lazy is what I call it !Never ever in my life has anyone at a bar or food establishment tell me they didn't want to make the drink that I ordered. If this is the case that means she doesn't want to work or doesn't need to be employed there . Better yet go home ! This was very distasteful and rude! Like tell me how you really feel . The service is slow and the space is nothing fancy but some of the best lemon pepper wings ever!!

First of all its 2022 and they only take cash and have their own ATM. It's $20 to enter but even at 10pm there was NO seating (Lots of empty seats in a reserved corner not being used) and it was crowded. Most were not masked but that's Georgia for you. We ended up getting the food to go another $20 per plate - leaving 20 min after we left and they refused a refund. Probably won't return since for $60 have nothing to show for it. Grown Folks needs to grow up, have more seating if you are feeding folk, take credit cards and have better customer service. read more

When l finally got inside l pay 20 dollars soon as you walk in after pay 20 dollars l was finally in finally in the place was pack keep in mind l was already standing outside in the hot air it was more hot inside l didn't even enjoy my self when people did clear out it was still hot plus my friend went outside to take call cause the kids call them they had to get back in line to get back in the establishment. I was there for over hour and half couldn't get drink neither food. This was a Sunday night first time ever having issue . To say that they had a big crowd of people they should have done better. This is a nice spot for the grown and sexy. I came here on a Sat and it was free until 11pm, the parking was free and the beers were $3.50 all night. There is a nice sized dance floor, a kitchen that stays open all night, and the DJ spins pretty good music. This was my first time here, so I will be updating this review once I go a few more times... This is def a 35 and over club, I think at 29 I might have been the youngest one in there... Overall a very nice place to come dance and have a drink with friends without raping you of your hard-earned money for the week. Ok so I must admit that I came ready to bash this place, and its still not that great but, its also not horrible as I anticipated. It is for the "grown"! I would say the age group I experienced was 35 and up, dare I say 40 and up maybe? Lots of ol'katz hangin about the bar area, and may I add, "staring"? There was lots of this going on and it appeared there were more men than women but thoughout the evening the ratio seemed to even out more. I was there to celebrate my god-sisters bday and the most important thing is that she had a great time, and she definitely did. Lets start with the drinks/cocktails. Well, they ranged from so-so to moderate, finally got to a strong one on drink 3 where I could actually taste the liquor (and I want to taste my liquor...LOL)! Next, the waiter/waitress staff, most were getting their hustle on. Some had dry personalities and the older male bartender was curt when I asked for water! I was like *b l i n k*, really?! I had to remind him that our crew of folk were spending much throughout that evening so Grown Folks definitely made some ends. He finally and reluctantly gave up 1 water at a time (which only amounted to two overfilled with ice mostly). Then he had to give me his "we are in the business to sell bottled water" bit, which I was not hearing! I do not recommend dining here, as the menu items are not appealing what-so-ever. Onto the atmosphere and band. DraKarr was the band playing for that evening and the reason my godsister would not let us talk her out of going here. DraKarr is a very energetic and enthusiastic band but sometimes they get crazy with too many ballads. The women were coo'ing and carrying on but not me as I've seen DraKarr a few times and do enjoy them and also glad they did some different covers for a change because they tend to do the same show once you've had that experience. The place was very crowded but drama-free. The DJ left me with much to be desired as I was not feeling the music. I would not rush back to Grown Folks but maybe will recommend them for my older family members when they visit for the reunion as I feel they might enjoy. Typical hole in the wall place. I had fun line dancing. Apparently, they teach you the moves for a few hours beforehand. By the time I got there for my cousin's bday, the teaching was over and it was execution time. The people were super friendly in teaching us the moves as we stumbled along. On to the review. This is a review for Thursday night step class. From 7:30 until.... the Southside steppers provide Chicago style step classes. There is a 5.00 cover and a 3.00 drink special. Plenty of parking is available in the lot out front and the kitchen seems to specialize in fried fish. Whitting not catfish. **If you are not a regular, you will have a hard time getting the bartenders attention**The step instructors seemed to know what they were doing and were good at getting the crowd involved. Be aware before you come Freak Flags are Flying. Everyone is nice and it's a mixed crowd but inappropriately funny things will be said to you. Take a sip of your cheap drink and laugh it off. Its a place where the grown and sexy hang, the ladies WOW!!!!! They were everywhere. I was glad to be able to talk to a lady that was not out with her lady if you know what I mean. I have been to Atlanta on several occasions and never had a chance to visit here until this past visit. It was an okay place. The layout was nice and the night I went in they had a live band that was great. I wasn't happy with paying 10 dollars to get into here but I did and had an okay time. Definitely a 35+ over type of atmosphere. This Saturday it was $10 cover charge (they did have a Halloween contest). I'm not a local so I don't know the regular price on the other days. Music was 80s to late 90's and a few 2017 songs, mostly R&B and old school hip hop. As far as food we had wings. They were super tiny but good. Lemon pepper was the favorite.
