This thrift store is very well organized. Perhaps that's one of the most interesting things about it. They even have their clothing organized by size. So, this makes shopping for that vintage piece of clothing much easier. This is something that few other thrift stores do. And, it's really appreciated. Because, it makes the whole shopping experience, not only easier but more enjoyable. Beacon House has far more than just clothing, however. This shop is stuffed full of all kinds of everything else, from electronics, to kitchen goods, to musical items, to LPs, cassette tapes, pretty much anything you can think of, they've got something. As is the case with all thrift stores, the inventory at this business is constantly changing. So, going in here one day may be very different from going in the next day. You will never know what you're gonna find. And, that's what makes this business a really unique shopping experience. He came to my house for the scheduled consultation and gave me the best price. After seeing my lawn, I asked if he could fix my sprinkler and lay out landscape fabric and mulch to prevent weeds and maintenance. He said he would measure what I need once he finishes the lawn cleanup, which I liked. The day came, and he cut my grass and cleaned up the weeds in my lawn. He also capped a broken irrigation line I had from the previous owner of the house without any issues and installed the new sprinkler I had mentioned. He measured my lawn and gave me the price for the mulch with a landscape barrier. I agreed, and he went to Home Depot to pick up the materials in his truck. When he came back, he laid down the barrier and mulch to perfection. He also went the extra mile by removing the sprinkler heads that aren't needed anymore, which I appreciate about him. All in all, Tony is the man for the job. He's easy to communicate with, and he works hard. I will recommend him to my neighbor, who is looking for a new gardener, and will hire him again for my next lawn project. Thanks, Tony!

It was truly a major downsize from our home of 10 years, to a new space and neighborhood that we intend to make permanent eventually. We brought only what we absolutely needed in to our small space but it was still a challenge and overwhelming to create a new living space that was organized with less cabinets and rooms! When I say challenging I'm talking about tears and feeling like we made a mistake about moving in to a smaller space even though temporary! Well Diane sure came to the rescue, first with a virtual consultation and an appointment to get started. What impressed me most is that Diane got started right away while I was on work calls because I work from home. She made her way through all our kitchen items and quickly sorted and put all the items in the cabinets that was organized and that made complete sense in how we would use the kitchen area! We had Jose's team come in for biweekly maintenance of our plants…read more We have these vines in the back. I ask his guys to slowly take them down. I don't mind taking it slow. I then ask Jose if he would do an off-cycle cleaning where they take down all of the vines all at once. He quotes me $700 or something stupid like that. I decline. His guys come back. I ask them to keep going with a methodical removal. They say no, because Jose told them to stop. I call Jose and ask if they can continue with the slow but steady removal. He says no. It's unbelievable that I'm paying them to maintain my garden, but by saying no their up charge, he now REFUSES TO MAINTAIN A PLANT THAT'S PART OF THE GARDEN!? Unbelievably unprofessional. This is not how to run a business. Run, don't walk away from this fool

I called José for lawn service…read more Jose ask for pictures I sent him pictures. Jose asked for a time period to come by (morning or afternoon)and I gave him the ok and made myself available. Jose happen to pull up in Front of my house walked forward not saying good morning or anything when he saw me he immediately looked perplexed like he was no longer a gardener?!???! I ask if he was with a company (I was expecting a different service this day as well) and he said no he's here for gardening with a confused type expression on his face. Jose asked me how long has it been since my yard was cut and I told him 2 months because my guy retired and he told me "No...it's been a year!". ???excuse me??? I'm thinking is this guy serious. I don't know why it mattered or even why I explained to him the timeline my guy last cut it. I mean...hello...that's why I called him. I don't need to lie or why he would accuse me. So after I explained like an accused girlfriend with the psycho bf Jose said "no ...I'm experienced it's been a year". No he didn't....Yes he did. I said ok whatever Jose what's the estimate? Cause the guy didn't talk any business he just immediately went into this thing about how long it's been since the grass was cut to make an excuse for whatever his true issue was but then Jose says "let's cut to the chase I can't cut it because the grass is too high for his tools and they may break.?????? Excuse me!?!? Your tools will break?!?! Lol No he didn't . Yes he did! Appalling. The nerve of this guy. You're a gardener bro. You cut grass to get money and your tools will break if you cut high grass??? Ha We live in Long Beach California! Not the rain forest ....and definitely not the high grass of the Ol Dixie States. I been around the sun plenty to know what I was dealing with here. This guy Jose was making excuses for what he really feels. I called and scheduled an estimator to visit my home for our kitchen project in our high-end home…read more We set the time for Friday at 1pm. I received a text message on the day of that was ambiguous about the time, so I called and verified that our appointment was at 1pm because we had another appointment to get to at 2:30. The person I spoke with confirmed that our estimator, Jose, would indeed be there between 1:00 and 1:15 pm as he would be coming straight from lunch and not another appointment. At 1:45 p.m., Jose was a no-call, no-show. Very disappointing. We will not be rescheduling. I would not recommend working with a firm that does not respect a customer's time.

We hired Jereme and his team at builder boy to be the GC on our extensive remodel pictured below…read more We had him do most everything on job which included gutting the structure down to the studs, reconfiguring the floor plan, adding structural reinforcements to create an open floor plan, re-wiring and plumbing the 5 unit complex, insulating it, installing shear paneling, stucco from scratch, and all the finish work. His professionalism, communication, and timeliness was refreshing in this day and age. Considering the high demand for general contractors today and the price gouging going on due to the low supply we were ecstatic to be able to find a GC who was able to provide high-quality customer service and an exceptional finished product. Our family would like to thank Jereme and the builder boy family for all their hard work and dedication to the job. I know we kept changing plans, finishes, and pretty much everything on you guys constantly but you kept your cool and never complained. Thank you again and we look forward to using your services again in the future.
