The restaurant was clean, the menu had a decent variety of sandwiches and soups, and food was good. My only critique is that the prices seemed a little high for what you get. A whole sub combo meal was just over $20. I appreciate quality food and have no issue with it, but I know a few other deli places that serve a larger sub for less money. Still, I will keep Eastbrook Deli in my rotation for lunch spots.

Our Place Cafe is a strange little restaurant. I've been to this place twice: once for dinner, and…read morerecently for brunch. As always, the most important aspect to dining out is service. Now, what's funny is that the woman who owns Our Place, Corrie Sid, also owns Cafe de Fleur in Auburn - which I actually gave 1 star for having service so slow they we weren't able to get our meals. Well, Our Place is also quite slow, though not to the same degree. Just like the other restaurant, they seem genuinely short-staffed, even though Our Place was mostly empty at the time. But what really sets Our Place apart - in a bad way - is the environment. Normally, I don't give too much thought to interior design, but this one raises a few serious flags. It's a very old building; I can only guess what its original purpose was. You can see daylight peeking through the walls, which is odd. And the rusted tin roof isn't so much charming and folksy as it is off-putting. However, the big issue that caught my eye was the thick layer of dust over the ceiling diffuser, right above the tables on the ground floor. When the AC kicks on, the result will be blast of dust, grease, and mold spores directly onto the food of the people below. I'm not even going to talk about the food, other than saying "it's fine." Normally a place like this would garner 2 or 3 stars, but the questionable (to say the least) health and safety of Our Place Cafe prevents me from doing that in good conscience. 1 star.

Service was super fast , the older waitress was working her tail off taking orders, serving, and even running the register. I got grits, pepper gravy, and sausage . My husband got 3 meats (sausage, bologna and crispy bacon) (bacon done right not floppy), homemade biscuits, scrambled eggs, and the best farm grown sliced tomatoes. They gave my husband the tallest cup of sweet tea I've ever seen anywhere. They also have for lunch a meat and 3 vegetable plate or even veggie plate. We plan on coming back for that. Unfortunately the floor was a bit sticky by the restrooms and just one woman stall. Hence the 4 * rating. It's open very early in the morning while most everything is not . We were glad it was walkable distance from Cornell's auto shop. My husband's truck had to be regenerated. It's a diesel and the ash had clogged the filter ugh. So if you are looking for home cooking and zero frills then pick this one.

We visited the Main Street Café in Clanton Alabama (613 2nd Ave N) today for lunch…read more They are opened Sunday thru Friday mainly from 5:30 am to 2 PM. They serve breakfast up until 10:30 am. They offer many choices for breakfast and offer menu and Meat & 2/3 for lunch. They usually have a daily lunch special also. The prices are very reasonable especially for the portion size you get. It is a seat yourself place and if you are looking for modern style, you're in the wrong place. If you are looking for a mom and pop small town feel, you hit the jackpot! We chose the meat & three today along with the daily special of buffalo chicken wrap. For the meat & three, we had pot roast, turnip greens, pinto beans, and butter peas. The meat and three comes with dessert and bread. For the wrap, you have a choice of grilled or fried chicken. It comes with fries and a drink. For a dollar more you can add a make your own salad from the salad bar. The wrap and fries were awesome. I think I'll try the Nashville hot wrap on my next lunch visit. The pot roast was nice and tender and well-seasoned. The vegetables were good but the turnip greens were a little sweet for our taste. We arrived a little after 11 am and once seated, our server greeted us and took our drink order. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu items. Once we placed our order, it arrived at the table about 5 minutes later. Our server checked on us regularly. The Main Street Café seems to do a very large take-out amount. Dozens of customers entered the restaurant just for take-out while we were there. Parking is a first come first serve on the narrow two-way street in a business area. You might have to circle the block a couple of times to get a parking space close. You can check their Facebook page for the daily lunch specials. All in all, we were very happy with our experience, and we will be back for more.

We have been going here for probably 10 years whenever we go down to the lake. There are two parts to Catherine's: the market and the cafe. The market always has fresh vegetables, meat, fruit, etc. They also have a variety of wines. They have a decent amount of the necessities that you would need, but not a huge variety of choices because it's a smaller market. Be prepared because it is a little pricey. You're going to pay more here than you would say Publix for the same thing. The Cafe is wonderful. This is 90% the reason we go. Their bakery has a wide variety of muffins and sweet treats (the Heath cookie is awesome). I have eaten here hundreds of times for breakfast and lunch. Their breakfast is phenomenal. I usually get the French toast (my favorite) or one of the omelettes. For lunch I love the ranch bacon chicken panini or the chicken salad. We've dined at the cafe many times and have always been pleased. There is a nice patio outside if you want to eat there as well. The employees are always friendly and welcoming. Overall, I love Catherine's and appreciate the good service we always receive!
