A coworker came to me several months later in a panic because her aging father needed to be placed in a home and as an only child, she had limited resources and no idea where to start. 2Sisters made me look good, finding multiple options for her, helping my friend through an incredibly emotional and stressful time and at no charge. And now it is my turn. I just moved to CO and found out my mother in DE is in medical crisis and needs home health care in the middle of a pandemic. I didn't know who else to talk to at 6pm on a Friday so I called 2Sisters. Two amazing ladies returned my call within 10 minutes and provided great advice to get me started, long distance. No one can touch their resourcefulness, local knowledge and compassion!

I really wanted LP to be better than this rating. - Is it…read moreclean? Seemingly yes in the public areas. - Are there basic systems to make sure your loved one in Independent Living (IP) isn't found dead days later. Yes. - Other than that, it is so very challenging to provide a review of all the issues related to: -- lack of follow-through by IP staff with family caregivers, -- lack of the same by the medical department, and even more so when (gosh forbid) your elder has to go to Rose Court because RC and Medical don't seemingly share data on your loved one. (BTW, the emergency care team at RC is great in and of itself.) Keep your loved one away from the live-in side of RC except for those in deep need of 24X7X365 help. It's a lock-down unit. --lack of staff owning up to/ responsibility not doing their jobs Are the grounds lovely, yes. Is the food really a 1/2 step down from anywhere you don't want to eat again, yes. The local HS kids try to provide good service but fall short. I will admit it can't be easy on the dining room managers to manage the quality of food delivered, food prep itself and training kids in hospitality to serve seniors. And all this for a $250K* buy in (1bdrm) plus ~$2K a month rent with one meal included. Lots of activities are available but I can't speak to the quality. 90% returned to estate when resident dies. *Price from about 5 years ago so this has probably increased. I'm just so frustrated. It's too late for my person to leave because it would be too much disruption. I will keep on advocating and try not to lose my mind. For whomever reads this review, survey all the options and if LP keeps rising to the top then know you will need to be your person's absolute advocate at every turn, with every interaction. Get yourself a notebook and keep it with you to track every interaction.

You put up a huge sum of money to move in, and then pay an outrageous monthly fee that amounts to a condo fee, with a meal plan thrown in. The food is mediocre at best. How they can possibly justify their $4,000+ a month fee (when you've already given them hundreds of thousands to pay for your apartment) is a mystery. They put my mother, who has dementia, in an ambulance one day and NO ONE CALLED ME. My mother was on a gurney in the hospital, alone, for 12 hours before a nice nurse took pity on my Mom and helped her to call me. I would have rained hellfire down on them for this, but my mother was still living there and I didn't want them to take my fury out on my Mom. Mom is at a new place now where for NO deposit and a bit more each month she gets three meals a day, laundry, and housekeeping done for her. Linden Ponds charges extra for EVERYTHING. It was a very happy day for me when we drove out of their, never to return.

I made friends very quick about 90 percent of the staff will do the best they can for you as humanly possible within the confines of the state laws. The therapists I met were the salt of the earth. The facility is top notch house keeping is always cleaning and the maintenance tend to be fixing things that is even suspect in their eyes. Management are very courteous. And the food is good. I seen some of the other reviews and they must have been over privileged people writing or maybe emotionally lashing out. This place deserves a better reputation. Dan Flynn

My only contact with the staff has been by phone, and every single one of my interactions was unpleasant. The very first call I got was from the discharge planner, who was incredibly abrupt. I tried to talk to the charge nurse for the unit, but I left three messages and didn't receive a return call. After my mother started getting bills at home (which she shouldn't have received), I left 2 messages for the administrator and 2 messages for billing, and didn't receive a call back. The only calls I did receive were from a nurse who wanted to put my mother on opiates for pain, without optimizing her non-opiate pain meds. I requested an update in 2 days, but of course nobody called me back. Since my mother is only partially verbal, she can't complain about the lack of attention. I can. I'm a physician, and I can tell from 300 miles away that CareOne Weymouth is suboptimal. I'm only glad that I got her transferred to another facility. For a facility to have an average of 1 1/2 stars when the lowest rating is 1 star, it must have some serious deficiencies. If they can't bother to return phone calls, it's no wonder they receive poor reviews on other aspects of care.

Nice staff that go out of their way to make the residents feel comfortable, the menu is varied and well prepared, the rooms are pleasant and for me the most important thing - no "living odors" in the halls! The dining room is set up with seating matched by the staff but you skip can this if you prefer and have meals in your room. Also, takeout food is acceptable as diets allow which is always a plus for someone shut inside indefinitely. All in all, my family was very pleased with this facility, and our recommendations to friends were also echoed positively by them. It's the go-to for our family for care emergencies going forward.

Weekend aide staff was in some instances grumpy or short with me. The facility had an AC issue effecting my room and several others. This resulted in interior temperatures in excess of 80 for several days the excess heat combined with the aide staff indifference to me began to effect me. My family saw the emotional change in me and addressed it directly with the management. AC was addressed and any other service related problems were resolved. The facility is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, meticulously clean, and maintains a quiet, calming environment. Patients are treated with genuine care, and it clearly shows in the staff's daily interactions. As a private duty nurse working with individuals who have dementia, I have seen many facilities and never have I found one I would feel comfortable recommending for my own family an. South Cove Manor is an exception. I would confidently choose this facility if such care were ever necessary. The majority of residents are Asian, though the facility is welcoming to all. Staff members speak a variety of Asian languages, which is a significant benefit for residents and families. While I have not personally tried the food, I have not heard any complaints. Residents appear well-adjusted, well-supported, and consistently cared for at a high level--something I cannot say about most places in this industry. A+

After several months on their waiting list, my father's financials and medical records were reviewed to ensure that they could care for him this review included the doctor we requested he be assigned to . The Admissions Director informed us they had a room for him and arranged his transfer. On that day my father was loaded onto transport and my brother went to the Dwyer Home ahead of Him. When he arrived the head nurse said that they wouldn't accept my dad because of new information she had received, supposedly that day. She said my dad's records showed he was a wanderer and sexually aggressive. Everything she said was a lie. The case worker didn't send any new records that week, my dad is not a wander. He is not even ambulatory. He can't get in and out of a wheel chair. He is not on a locked ward and he isn't capable of remembering or entering a code in a key pad to open an exit door. Additionally my dad has never been aggressive. He's had the same health care assistant bathing him for 20 years and she adores him. So did his caregivers in assisted living and in his current nursing home. The nurse at Dwyer Home didn't call us to tell us they wouldn't accept him. When my brother went out to get his paper work. The nurse locked him out. No one from the Dwyer Home ever returned our calls or emails to apologize or explain. I jad explained to the Admissions Director, who told us she had a bed for him, that I was very worried about the care he was currently receiving. He had gone from walking on his own toBnot being able to adjust himself in bed in just a get months. Additionally, they had him so medicated he was sleeping all the time. She assured me that they could treat my dad's sun downers without over medicating him. My father served his country his entire life.
