They really were a great group of people and the patients were even more awesome. God bless, the Tech's and staff of the front lines. The road to recovery is no easy process. I stayed 18 days and all in all, though chaotic at times, this place has a special place in my heart. They are BRAND new, so be patient and trust the process, they truly are working on getting everything up and running. Do NOT go to RCI in Falmouth as your next steps. You will be sorely disappointed. God bless and best wishes on YOUR road to recovery!

I've been to Bedrock years ago and had a decent experience. I have been twice this year and they…read moreare under staffed, the nursing won't give you important medications like antidepressants, thyroid meds and have given patients the wrong meds or wrong dosages. They also over dose the tapers so you are a zombie. It doesn't matter if you're a 100lb young woman or a 350lb 50 year old man, the Valium and Ativan taper is the same for all. Case management acts like you're an inconvenience and will mess up your short term disability and/or FMLA or avoid you all together. There was an instance where a 50 year old man snuck drugs in and was telling everyone to come to his room to get high. He targeted a young 20 year old woman, went into her room, GROPED her and stalked her. This was reported to staff for days who did NOTHING but "take a report". She was terrified of him and myself, as a small female had to stand up to him and tell him to stop, and that he needed to leave the facility, again staff did not back me up. Thankfully he didn't get violent with me but through a fit and left on his own. Most recently, a tech staff member was caught taking photos and videos of female clients. This staff member was hired by a family member who is CORPORATE ADMINISTRATOR. People who are sent here just for a day or two observation are being kept for a week and being pressured to stay for their 30 day program. They will also lie to detox patients that their insurance isn't accepted at other rehabs they want to go to so they are forced to stay. They make you believe you don't have the right to use your phone to find out the truth for yourself. Or they tell detox patients to go upstairs to Bedrocks rehab program for a few days because a bed isn't available at the rehab they want to go to and then force them into staying by saying they signed a contract with their rehab program and if they leave it'd be considered AMA. I have no idea who the director is but they're only looking for $$$, they cut costs everywhere they can from food to basic meds they should have on hand. Their techs work their butts off and are paid crap. They have the wrong approach because the recovery community knows Bedrock is an absolute zoo and a disgrace. The only people who care are most of the techs and some of the nurses. I won't be surprised when they lose good employees because they're sick of it too. It's unfortunate because Springhill and Mayflower are owned by the same parent company and have great programs. Do not go to Bedrock, it claims to be high quality care but it's basically the new Highpoint.

Upon entering she noticed what appeared to be possibly black mold on ceiling. When I asked staff via phone about it they said they could not see it (see pics attached)- They gave her another room. Hair stuck to wall in shower, a white medium size canister labeled "mouse Trap" in shower, wallpaper falling off and stained underneath, water stains on ceiling, Bathroom commode with rust and whatever else was on it. When my other sister pointed these out to administrator, he said he was not aware. Safety checks and environmental checks are a part of any healthcare facility. It is his job to know. Then the maintenance man came out to glue the wall paper back on the wall. My sister was transferred there post-op for physical therapy. It is a major health concern and risk of infection to be admitted there. I am appalled that Dept. of Public Health Licenses them. There is no way they would have passed an inspection. Filthy, unfit, risk of infection facility. I am sad that some people do not have anyone to advocate for them. NOTE:If your loved one is leaving a hospital, ask the case manager and/or discharge planner for a list of places that are covered by their insurance so you can at least research if they are a good place for your loved one. Also Some Medicare plans are now covering community Health Workers to assist you and advocate for you. Please see pics below and Beware of this facility-It does not deserve 1 star

My mother moved to Brightview in November 2017. I'm writing this at the end of March, 2018…read more Enough time to write a useful review. Someone wrote complaining that the Jewish residents were upset by the food. That may be, I don't know. My mother loves the food! I've eaten with her many times, and while I wouldn't suggest Brightview for date night, the food is good and the staff are saintly about putting up with the frequent complaints from some of the residents about EVERYTHING. It is so ridiculous at times that you can't help but wonder if these folks are used to having private chefs prepare their food. Everything from the shape of the mugs to the temperature of the soup! It's important to remember this is a care facility, not a resort. Don't move there for the food! I find it shocking the way some of the residents talk to the staff. And they just smile and keep working. Saints I tell you, saints! Every single staff member at Brightview knows who my mother is by name. Every single staff member at Brightview will stop what they are doing to answer a question, point you in the right direction--whatever. They are very service oriented. They are also polite, friendly, and energetic. My mother can't remember anyone's name and she refers to them as "my darling girls who take care of me." I can't even express how it makes me feel to know Mom feels that way. It is gut wrenching having to tell your mother she has to be moved into a memory care unit--Mom shed a few tears, and didn't understand why. But now that she is there, she is doing just great. They have lots of activities, and she is now getting the help she needs with dressing, bathing, and other person care things. Memory care residents get 20 hours of one-on-one help per week. It's fabulous! Mom's apartment is beautiful. No kitchenette in memory care which has proved to be a blessing. She isn't obsessed with saving her half eaten lunch anymore, and the staff know she won't actually EVER eat food she takes out of the dining room, so she is discouraged from doing that. Her laundry gets done, her sheets get changed, and her apartment is cleaned. The facility itself (common areas) is spotless. Yes, it's pricey, but it's less than the other memory care facility in Canton, which seems to be perpetually full anyway. Maybe people don't know that there is another beautiful facility a few miles away with space that costs a little bit less? I do wish that caregiver "children" like myself were able to get the daily schedule of activities via email, so that I could encourage Mom to participate in the things I know she'd like. I think they're working on that as they were collecting email addresses recently. All in all, I am very happy with Brightview.
