Now I've been in charge of the "landscaping" of my yard, so let's just say it was an absolute nightmare to begin with...I mean bad...to the point I almost (notice I said almost) went and cleaned it up before they came. These guys went nuts. Within a couple hours all the over grown bushes were trimmed down, the scrub was cleaned up and I was left with this awesome looking yard I hadn't seen since what seems like the dawn of time. Even better, the guys came to my door when they were done, walked me through everything they did and asked me if there was anything else I wanted them to do before they left...how cool is that! Needless to say Michele is super happy and have officially locked them in as my go-to landscaping company.

We had some stops and starts but Spencer and his crew were top notch. They are absolutely experts in their field--taking more time than expected and trouble shooting the logistical issues with the geographical limitations of our property, the adjacent lake, and maneuvering around wiring. And the STILL stuck with their original estimate. The whole time they were super communicative and have an incredible patient office staff. The whole team was respectful of our property, checked in to make sure we understood their approach, went above and beyond, and did a remarkable job finishing up. 10/10 recommend if you need tree work done!!!!

We hired him for recurring weekly mowing. We never knew when he'd show up, and it was different almost weekly. When we'd ask when he was coming, he acted annoyed. He came one week only a couple of hours after heavy rain and destroyed part of the yard because it was too wet. I told him it wasn't a big deal because it's been so wet, but just an FYI that he tore up some of the lawn. His response was that our lawn was always too wet in that area...not even a simple sorry, just letting us know it's our fault not his. Then things got bad. He did not show up one week because of rain, and he couldn't fit us in later in the week...which I understand completely. Then the next week he said he was coming, but days went by and nothing...so at the end of the week I messaged him and asked if he was coming, and he said that he didn't have anywhere to put our grass clippings, so no he wasn't. He never even contacted us to let us know that he was having an issue, just gonna no-show. The following week I texted him to ask if he'd let me know when he was on his way so I could clear the yard of the kids toys. He told me that he was not going to allow me to be "checking in on him" and that it wasn't a good fit. He then said he was dropping us the same day he was supposed to show. This guy really treated us wrong and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. We now have a jungle for a lawn and are leaning on a great referral to come fix the mess.

I have learned it is best to get Victor's advice and then go with whatever he recommends whenever he can get to it. He can spot dead/leaning/risky/rotten trees quickly. I really do hate having trees removed, actually, and not just because of the cost.... but Victor does try to put a positive spin on it.

Executive Summary: Victor, owner and operator of Happy Trees, and his teams are excellent!…read more We needed six trees cut down and removed from our property. We could have called a lumber company IF we had 20+ trees we could identify for removal; the cost in that case is zero, but they only take the large trunk pieces and leave a tremendous mess (branches, twigs, leaves and stumps) for homeowners to clean up. Happy Trees not only cut trees down, but they also clean up everything! Stump grinding is optional (which we had done). One of Victor's two crews (four experienced men per crew) were able to start the job the afternoon before the promised start date, which was fine with us! They quickly, efficiently and safely took down the trees, five of which where near the house and one near power lines. After each tree was down, they cut up the branches and trunk and ran everything through a chipper, with the chips going into a large panel truck; some of the better tree trunks were set aside for pickup later. Having the six trees cut, removed and the area cleaned of branches/twigs and raked took less than a day (actually, two half-days); the stump grinding happened a few days later. Happy Trees has expertise and the right equipment to get the job done safely. And the cost was quite fair and reasonable compared to what I have paid in the past. I highly recommend Happy Trees.
