The next day three men arrived and the final job with the carpet was fine. But the owner (Home Base subs this work) was rude and told us we were lucky he was willing to do it, that most installers would take one look at the three rooms and leave. We made it clear that when it was time to move the antique 1770s tall clock that the owner would move the works. The boss went ahead and moved it, severely damaging the works. A local was finally able to repair it, but Home Base said they would not pay the cost because the work was not done on a company letterhead as a receipt. So the cost was ours. We have spent close to $9,000 here, but never again.

In addition, they had to order the chairs I purchased and they weren't in yet. They also make you pay for delivery which I think is ridiculous. My couch was delivered before my chairs and the delivery man, which is one of the owners, was extremely rude to me. I like to shop local, but I will never shop at this store again. I ended up buying bar chairs at the Ashley store in Orchard Park and received free delivery on the guaranteed date and much friendlier staff all around.

Based on the reviews he read here on Yelp he decided to go with Alt Builders and their owner Dan. He contacted Dan and was who responded very promptly on a Sunday afternoon. Dan came out the next day to size up the job. He was prompt and very knowledgeable about what Jeff was looking to have done. The patio door was ordered and came in approximately 3 weeks later. Dan and his crew were able to come out to do the job within a couple of days and completed the job in a day and a half just like he promised. They cleaned up and the installation went smoothly. The price was very reasonable and Jeff is definitely going to hire Alt Builders in the future to get some doors installed. He highly recommends Dan for any work or repairs you might need.
