She was absolutely amazing at teaching my daughter, who was 4, how to ride safely but be able to still have fun. Now my daughter is 7 and has been receiving group lessons with Emma. Emma has been fantastic, caring and compassionate to the 4 girls who all ride together. She may have to say things 3-4 times but never once has she gotten frustrated at the girls for not understanding. Windermere has become a second home to My daughter and everyone at Windermere truly cares about the horses and the riders. We have never once had a bad experience or have been treated rude. We wouldn't go anywhere else and have referred many people to the barn who also have had the same experience!!

The facilities are spacious, clean well ventilated. There are several tacking areas with cross ties and an indoor wash rack. The indoor arena is large and usually empty. There is also a lot of outdoor space to ride (I joined recently in bad wether so I have not experienced these spaces myself.) The tack lockers are plenty big for 2 saddle plus other supplies. The pastures are spacious and the horses are grouped compatibly. They feed really great grain too! The best part about the barn is that everyone is really nice and I feel confident that my horse is in good hands when I go home every day.

This is a great barn to go to if you don't have your own horse, as they have a large schooling program. The quality of the lessons definitely depends on who is giving them, but that's the case with most barns. It is a LARGE barn, which can be great if you like the opportunity to be in schooling shows and make friends at group lessons. However, it can also mean that you might feel like your individual needs and goals go un-noticed. You'll have to advocate for yourself and speak up if you need something.

That's what I get to do here. I've ridden many of the horses and ponies and have always felt safe. Shae owns the barn, trains the horses, and teaches lessons. All of her horses are loved, well-cared for, and do well with riders at all levels. She is a patient instructor, cares about her clients, and is passionate about her business and horses in general. She's also a certified saddle fitter. Weather-permitting, lessons are outside year round. From the outdoor arena, there's a lovely view of a beautiful grassy field where the horses love to graze with a gorgeous tree-lined backdrop. During inclement weather (when it's simply too cold or rainy), there's a very nice, large indoor arena. Lessons are private and semi-private and priced fairly. Shae teaches all ages. I am super happy at this barn. I think the world of Shae as an instructor, trainer, business owner, and person.
