They also made accommodations for my seed oil allergy by cooking the chicken without any seed oils. The bartender Alicia went above and beyond by mixing up my own Dijon dressing with olive oil and lemon and no seed oil since I couldn't eat the premade dressing. Amazing service. We will be back!

The dish was generally good though a few bites had an odd almost sour taste that threw me off. I asked whether the orange juice was fresh and I was told it was it's just not squeezed in-house. Supposedly it comes from a place that presses it for them. If they're really paying someone to deliver "fresh" juice they're not getting their money's worth because what I was served tasted exactly like carton OJ. Service was inconsistent some staff were warm while others felt noticeably cold. The restaurant itself is decorated in a very eclectic way with trinkets scattered throughout. I don't think I'll go back and I'm not sure I recommend this place to others.

A lunch/dinner was around $35/pp, not bad. They had a good sizable accommodation for some hundred to 200 women. The facility and building is quite big and classic, yet simple for a golf course, but it's nice. Service and staff were all friendly. I would definitely come here for another event.

I attended recently for a dinner function and was immediately impressed with the timeless venue. The sprawling clubhouse is set on an exquisitely manicured golf course, which we were able to admire just before the sun set. After we walked in, we were quickly ushered into the reception room where servers circulated with trays of hors d'œuvres. It was a festive atmosphere as the place filled up and the crowd became even more jovial. Dinner was delicious, but portions were tiny that evening. If I had known, I would have filled up on the previously mentioned hors d'œuvres to keep me from feeling so ravenous. After the meal we ended the night in the bar. I stuck with water, and the bartender was great about keeping my glass filled. My friend got an Old Fashioned, and made a bad face after the first sip. I taste-rested it and I'm pretty sure it was straight bourbon on the rocks. That's great I'd that's what you want, but I think this KY native could teach them a thing or two about whipping up a good Old Fashioned the right way!

They go several times a week for golf, social gatherings, workouts, and meals. Being members at Knollwood has brought a lot of joy to my parents, so I'm giving it 5 stars for that alone. In addition to bringing joy to my parents, Knollwood is a wonderful destination for when the kids come home. On a recent trip, we enjoyed Sunday brunch at Knollwood with my parents and grandfather. I opted to use the workout room while my sister and bf golfed with my parents later that day... and we actually ended up having dinner that night there also. (BBQ night - we couldn't pass that up!) All of the people that work at Knollwood are extremely friendly from the Valet to the locker room attendant. I still get a kick out of the fact that everyone there knows my parents by name. I guess that's what the big bucks are for! In all seriousness, Knollwood is a wonderful place and definitely worthy of 5 stars!

My daughter and her two friends (also members of the club) went inside the clubhouse on a weekday afternoon for lunch. They were not dressed paticularly fancy, but they were also not in inappropriate or distressed clothes. Nothing they have not worn hundreds of times with me to eat dinner there. When they arrived, it was an obviously slow afternoon and there was not one other party inside for lunch. When three of them (19 year-olds) walked up to be served, the two hostesses gave them a rude look, then continued seating them. After they were seated and drink orders were taken, the two hostesses and waitress began staring at them from a distance, whispering and clearly pointing as if they didn't have the common sense to know how rude that was. After they had gotten their drinks, a staff member came up to them saying they weren't dressed appropriately to be eating in the clubhouse and had to leave immediately. Embarrassed, the kids left. Now don't get me wrong. I have belonged here for ten years and I am very familiar with the dress code. It is possible the kids were slightly underdressed. However, the way the handled it is what is completely absurd and unprofessional. Why would you seat them, take their drink orders, and whisper and stare before deciding they can't be served? It is so disgustingly rude. Second of all, I know for a fact when I come in with my daughter to eat in the same clothes, they never comment or question the attire. Why? Because it is easy to be rude to young people and get away with it. There was literally no one else in the club eating and they had to waste these kids' time by seating them, then deciding they didn't want to anymore. So gross and unprofessional. We pay for these kids to be members too, so the biased behavior towards mature and respectful young people is almost humorous. I hope the bratty female hostesses and waitress learn this is not the way to handle a situation. I've seen McDonald's workers with more respect towards customers.

No loyalty, no respect for long time members, and ZERO RESPECT for children with special needs. After many years here (over thirty and three generations), very disappointing to be chased out by the horrible manager and new members who love to show their dollar signs with zero class or respect. Have been a member with my family over 3 generations it's sad to say but Jackie Polly is the worst manager ever who has chased away not just our family, with special needs, but also decades of memories at this club. This is the WORST FAMILY CLUB ever. Don't ever consider joining, even the staff and amazing chefs have left due to this horrific new staff experience. Don't ever consider Forest lake, honestly think of joining any other club- the horrible investment for your family is not worth a hundred you will ever spend here. Facilities are SO OLD. Bathrooms are ALL MOLD!!!!!!' pool facilities are absolutely disgusting and haven't been upgraded in YEARS. the faculty MAY care a little tiny bit about golf to build their reputation- but really it's is nothing / they don't invest, they don't improve, and after all they don't give a crap about you.... Even if you've spent 30 years building them up. The management has ruined this club - join anywhere but here. Remember that manager Jackie Polly is a hateful, prejudiced person who literally has chased out the colorful staff we have loved for years and also long time members like myself and my family. It hurts to write such a review after so many loving memories, but people like JACKIE POLLY ruin everything. And this club will suffer unfortunately because of horrible people and staff like her who are just unsatisfied in their life and looking to "show their place". Unfortunately, these low lifes will never help this place grow- people like Jackie will lead to its demise. So sad and unfortunate because this place really had potential if led by the right leadership and classy people. Too bad this place has NONE of that!!!!! Try Bloomfield athletic club or Oakland hills for a way better experience!!!!! Go anywhere but here trust me
