The decor is strange (the smiling tree...), but attractive. It's a hodge-podge of birdhouses, wall hangings, statues, and colored rocks that have been painted by Eastpointe school children. There's more than a few benches, and a good portion of the Children's Gardens is away from the road; this is a great place to get lost in a book rather than attempting to do so at a larger, more crowded place. Also, if you're anything like me, variety in places to read is a necessary thing. You certainly won't be bothered here!

Even when you need shade on a summer day, there are several trees covering the whole park. Pull out a blanket, lay down, and enjoy! The park isn't just for any age range or alone. It's also great for spending time with family. The park mostly has children, but that doesn't mean adults can't have fun either! There are swing sets and balance poles for adults. While it may not be the largest park in the city, its a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star, is because the bathrooms are always locked or there is construction done near there! If you can't hold it in, I suggest not going here!
