Ok so I know this isn't a business, but I still want to review this underrated gem in Eastpointe…read more Spindler Park is a very well maintained, safe, and pretty park with three pavilions, a jungle gym for kids, a soccer field, a sledding/climbing hill, tennis courts, horseshoe courts, shuffleboard, and disc golf. They also have bathrooms in the summer and port-a-potties in the winter. There is a walking trail for you and your (leashed) dog that measures about 1/4 mile (I think). Plenty of picnic tables and shade, and water fountains by the bathrooms. At the if the summer last year I was lucky enough to catch the butterfly migration south and I must have seen a few hundred in the trees beyond the soccer field where the disc golf route extends. It was magical. Overall, a great, safe park to get outside and spend some time.

Like I posted in the photos during hunting season I come here and collect acorns for the deer. They're in the summer a lot of events are held here. Last summer my Cub Scout Pack 1909 had to camp out here I felt very safe and secure and there was even an indoor restroom available to use they also offer a nice Pavilion with electricity if you were to have a family reunions and or picnic here. There's also a nice little walking trail and even a huge pills to go sledding on in the winter if I remember correctly they do have a small play area for the kiddos as well. Nice place to go walk your dog and relax.

There was an outhouse by one of the entrances. There was a round pavilion by the playground. And a band shell type pavilion. The whole area is partially fenced in with various entries. Lots of activities, soccer, baseball, double basketball, horseshoes, lots of open green space to throw balls. The playground was too hot to go down the slide. Sun shade would be ideal. A water feature would make this park outstanding. Although it is pretty awesome as it is.

It's behind Pub Froggy off of 13 Mile. They have a walking track and are pet friendly. There is a playground for the kids as well as a pavilion with BBQ grills. In the middle of the park they have a baseball diamond. It's hardly ever crowded and it's a great place to walk and get some fresh air.

Whenever you do a full circle around the park, there is a fountain at the start to keep you hydrated! There are many places to get rest, including benches and tables. Even when you need shade on a summer day, there are several trees covering the whole park. Pull out a blanket, lay down, and enjoy! The park isn't just for any age range or alone. It's also great for spending time with family. The park mostly has children, but that doesn't mean adults can't have fun either! There are swing sets and balance poles for adults. While it may not be the largest park in the city, its a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star, is because the bathrooms are always locked or there is construction done near there! If you can't hold it in, I suggest not going here! Otherwise, this place is my favorite and new visitors are welcomed.

It's called the Tunnel of Lights with food trucks and hot coco stand. They even have a few igloos and multiple fire pits to keep visitors toasty. The girls were verbally attacked by an elderly man for having the puppy with them. I've never been a dog owner and the girls missed a sign when they entered the park so they were shocked when the man ran up to them screaming, "What is wrong with you? Why would you bring a dog in here? Are you stupid? Can you not read the sign?!" The girls and the puppy were shocked, scared and confused; they told the man they hadn't seen a sign and were leaving but he kept screaming at them that he was going to call the police and have them ticketed and arrested for breaking the law. I'm absolutely disgusted this would happen, for two girls to be verbally attacked and insulted over an honest mistake is sickening. Back in my day a simple "excuse me young ladies but there is a sign out front stating dogs are not permitted" would have sufficed.

It's my go-to place when the weather is nice. My kids LOVE the new splash pad and playground! Highly recommended for summer birthday parties for kiddos too! Just be sure to call ahead and make sure it's not a booked out weekend for a large event they do sometimes host and the park could be closed for additional parties. Just a little tip I picked up along the way. ;)
