The appointment system here is terrible. You go online and pick the groomer you want and then they give you available times, you book what you want and they charge a $50 to secure the spot. They always and I mean always change that time. So frustrating and they should just say call us and delete the online system and not charge $50 for a deposit if this is truly not holding a date and time. Never again and there is always an excuse. read more

Chris was very helpful answering all my questions when I called in to inquire about getting my puppy's first grooming appointment set up. He was patient, honest, and helpful. Called in Saturday and got scheduled for an appointment the next day. Decided to take my puppy to Woof Gang the same day after the call to check out the shop and get him acquainted with the new store. He was greeted by Chris who treated him with chicken chips. Chris quickly became my dog's new bestfriend. Decided to pick up a few treats for him while I was there. The store is so cute and carries so many great items - my dog was definitely like a kid in a candy store and he didn't want to leave. Dropped him off the next day and he was eager to get inside the store. He happily greeted Chris who remembered my dog from the day before. Drop off was seamless as well as pick up. They texted me as soon as they were finished. My dog was so happy and it seemed as if he loved his experience and time there. My husband and I are very pleased with how his grooming turned out. His fur is soooooo soft, nails neatly trimmed, and teeth are sparkling white. We're looking forward to becoming regulars here! My first and last groom at this place. They charged me $100 for my 10 pound dog. Be warned! They added on several charges (I didn't even know could exist) at checkout when I picked him up. Such a shame to blindside your customers like that. Shame on y'all UPDATE: Please see the reply from the owner. My review was critical, of the pricing which I felt blindsided by, but you will be shocked to see the owner's response. I am baffled that the owner would address a review in this way. I am even more shocked to read the comment about how "difficult my dog and I were to deal with". My dog is a rescue and needs lots of love during grooming; he shakes and is terrified in noisy environments. But he is the sweetest dog in the world- a complete cuddle bug. I'm so sad to read a heartless comment like the one in this reply-and it reassures my decision that I can never give y'all another try. I was respectful, paid the total due, and left a tip because that's the right thing to do. I'm sorry my review has resulted in you feeling like you needed to leave such an ugly reply. Woofgang keeps on deleting my review. I have a one star review for their grooming services that they performed on my two Havanese dogs. But that review is gone. I called recently to enquire about availability and asked if I could use a different groomer since I had a really bad experience last time. I was told by the person who picked up the phone that since I gave a bad Yelp review last time they can not provide us any service. First and foremost, this location does an excellent job with the groom and is wonderful with our dogs. One of our dogs started getting anxious anytime she went to be groomed at the other shop we used before. We tested a couple of their locations too. She always would get upset being dropped off. When we moved, we decided to try Woofgang and she has been happy to go to all of her appointments here. Secondly, they are so helpful. When a last second conflict came up, Chris went above and beyond helping us figure out a way to shift our appointment we booked weeks before. With a baby at home and multiple animals to take care of, logistics for rescheduling things like this can be a nightmare. It was such a relief that Chris made it easy for us! For what you get, the pricing is very reasonable. Our dogs always come home clean, soft, beautiful, and happy - PLUS the service is fantastic. We can't put a price on that... read more

Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming Lakeway Be aware I brought my little Yorkie, Roxy, in to be groomed and this is how I picked her up. Roxy will be 12 in Sept. This was not her first time being groomed but this is the first time anything like this has happened. The groomers admitted to the things that you see. They did not inform us that she had an open wound to her back leg when we picked her up. You will also see she has an infection under her eye which was not there when we dropped her off :( Under the eye excuse... she had "crust" under her eye :( (My girl always has a little crust under her eye but you don't just rip it off. You wet it with a warm rag and gently remove it) The cut on her leg (All excuses from the groomer to me in person) Excuse 1. she had a "mole" and it came off as she was being groomed (Side note: they use scissors to groom that part of the leg) Excuse 2. that she is "old and fidgety" Excuse 3. Maybe on her way out we put her down and a cactus stabbed her in the leg (this was from the owner's husband) My reply... YOUR GROOMER ADMITTED TO ME THAT SHE DID THIS TO MY DOG AFTER I QUESTIONED HER I was super excited about having them in the Lakeway area. I've been using Woof Gang Westlake for over 2 years and never had a problem, in fact we loved them, but we live on Hamilton Pool Rd so Westlake was quite a trek for us. At this point I don't think we will ever bring Roxy to be groomed again and I definitely will not be going back to WOOF GANG BAKERY AND GROOMING IN LAKEWAY as long as the groomers are still there (mother and daughter team) Roxy continues to heal. We bring her to the vet every 2 days. She needed surgery to close up the wound but with the infection in her leg her heart murmur and her age they advised us not to do it. We are still treating the infection and once that is done she will have to go under in order to close up the wound. 2 1/2 Roxy is finally starting to heal. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US WHEN WE PICKED HER UP THAT THEY "CUT" HER LEG WHILE GROOMING HER ... they did not read more

First time we took our dog here and they did a terrible job and when confronted, they admitted they did a poor job on our dog Pepper. We normally visit the Woof Gang on 360 and we will continue to take our business there. My recommendation would be not to visit this location as they don't take pride in the quality of their work. You can very clearly see all of the marks of the clippers from her haircut as well as all of the spots left that are uneven. They also left all of the hair from the cut over her entire body like if she was cut after her bath and not before. The quality of work is less than what I could have done myself at home, do not go to this place if you want a quality groom for your dog. She has lots of patches everywhere. I'm very disappointed and when I expressed my disappointment in her grooming, they didn't care to offer a discount or a refund. They offered to "fix" the grooming we paid $80 for, but seeing the level of work they first offered, I didn't feel comfortable to see how they would "fix" it a second time around. read more

These are caring and extremely professional women who work for Chris and his family. I smile every time I walk through the door. It's such a fun place to shop for unique items for pets and a great place to go for staple items too. The groomers are awesome and do a great job on Hudson. He is always so white and fluffy and smells so good. The groomers take the time to greet you and talk to you about Hudson's grooming for the day. The groomers are always so nice and very accommodating. Hudson loves going to WGB&G to get pampered and when I pick him up he is always smiling and happy! That speaks volumes to me about how Hudson is being taken care of while at WGB&G. She LOVES what he suggested and we couldn't be happier with the service we received and the grooming - in fact she finished quickly and sent me a text right away - no problems whatsoever. The store has everything you could want - and then some! Beautiful dog treats and leashes, baked goods and a full line of healthy foods. I have used this groomer several times before with no issue. However, on 12/31/20, my mini golden doodle Bella, was shaved with a zero guard after I specifically asked that she not be. In fact, I asked for a 5 guard, but told due to her matting, it would have to be a 3 guard. I understood, but when I got my dog back, she was shaved bald to where you could see skin. She looks horrible, and because she is shaved, I am having to use a sweater to keep her from shivering. In addition, she has been constantly licking her legs due to nicks she received from the shave. Do NOT use groomer Jennifer. I have complained to the staff and manager. Staff said, "I'm sorry, but it will grow back." Ok, let me shave your head, apologize, and tell you don't worry it will grow back. Ridiculous. Moreover, I could not get a refund, but given it was the holiday season, they would "make an exception," an offer me a credit for next times groom. Of course they want the money now. Unfortunately, the next groom will not be until the summer, given how short her hair is. Apparently, if your dog has matted hair, it must be shaved. Guess there isn't anything in-between a cut and a shave. If you need your dog shaved, even without requesting or being told before the fact, this is the place to go. This was an awful cut, but I suppose fitting to end 2020. read more

Horrible experience. I have never taken the time to write a critical review of a business before, but I feel the need to express my dissatisfaction with the whole experience I had this morning at Woof Gang Bee Cave. When I called to make this appointment, I was told for a dog my size (69lbs), it would be $95 (plus an optional $10 teeth brushing and an optional $10 nail grinding). I felt comfortable with that price, although it is on the higher end of what I am used to. When I arrived this morning, and was "greeted" by the very unfriendly groomer, she proceeded to scold me about how matted and in poor shape my very fluffy (adorable) 9 month old sheepadoodle puppy is. Not once did she act as if she even liked animals. It was all negative and she said, "this will be very expensive, you know". I told her that the owner specifically said it would be $95 (with those two optional $10 fees) and she said, "ohhh no! It will be at the least $160, but likely much more." I told her that I felt duped and that this price should have been explained to me prior to arriving for the appointment. When I spoke with Chris, the owner, before leaving, he seemed quite apathetic and did not offer much of an apology or solution. He just asked his groomer "so how should I respond to people when they call and ask for pricing?" Clearly, he made the error of quoting me a specific price. He should have at least honored that quote... Not that I would have left my dog with this groomer anyways. She didn't show an ounce of love or affection to my pup - only criticism for matting. Please don't waste your time with this establishment. Your pup (and you!) deserve much better. read more
