Not only did they arrive promptly at 8:00am but my dog was out and finished in 75 minutes and came inside a perfectly groomed, happy pup. Same price as Petsmart and with all of the convenience and none of the worry. Would definitely recommend over and over. Will be our new regular groomer.

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Highly recommended. ***In the post-grooming photo of my pup, he'd had a recent vet procedure that resulted in a stitch in his forehead and a partially shaved right leg. Okay, obviously having the grooming van come to your door is incredibly convenient. What you might…read morenot realize, it minimizes a huge amount of stress! Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. I don't trust my little guy with anyone but Maria.

I could barely stand to be around her. So, I dropped her off at Canine Design. Gave Doreen all the special instructions - that she needs special, gentle care, that she hates to have her paws and face touched, that she can be difficult when stressed - snappy - even aggressive. Picked her up a few hours later totally transformed - sweet smelling - even a hint of a smile. Certainly glad to be back in my car heading home. I know the pic doesn't do justice - but you can see she is back to being a small dog with all that hair now removed. Thanks Canine Design for transforming Molly (she's banned at Petco and some other groomers)

I feel absolutely awful about paying over $150 for this grooming session. While I can acknowledge…read morethat they were punctual and did a decent job on my dog's fur, nails, and paw trimming, they completely butchered his face. I honestly feel disrespected. The facial cut is rough, uneven, and clearly done by someone who had no idea what they were doing. They either didn't listen at all when I said "not too short" or had no understanding of how a teddy bear breed should be groomed. They even cut off his beard -- one of his most defining and adorable features! I wasn't the one to receive my dog when he was brought back to the house, and had I seen him right then, I absolutely would have voiced my discontent on the spot. There's no way I would have paid the full amount, let alone tipped the groomer. This doesn't feel like a minor mistake -- it feels like someone with little to no experience was let loose on my dog's face. He looks like a completely different animal, and not in a cute or fresh-groomed way -- in a shockingly bad way. I feel genuinely sad and angry every time I look at him. This was such a violation of trust.

The last groom they did on Bugz was perfectly fine, which is why we booked with them again. Bugz has been groomed monthly since he was 8 months old (he's now 8 years old), until they came to DC in May and has only been groomed twice (this being the second instance). So no, he wasn't only groomed twice a year as the owner claims. He was moving bc they shouldn't have been touching his tail. We didn't threaten to post these out of exploitation of a refund. We're posting this because we want others to see what a horrible decision this was that will take months if not years to undo and how horrible management will respond to any concerns with your pup. Don't book with them!

DO NOT BOOK! EDIT:…read moreBusiness owner responded and continues to attempt to gaslight the situation. I have provided evidence in pictures for others to view and make their own judgement call. You can argue all you want but you can't hide from the truth. I don't even want a refund, keep the $200. At this point, I just want to make sure no other people experience the horrendous experience I did. Calling a customer unhinged because you provided a bad service and refuse to take accountability is surreal. This appears to be a pattern. My GF provided plenty of evidence of the actual service we booked per the screenshots on the other review. It's absolutely appalling that any business is making all kinds of excuses for such an egregious service. Then accusing the customer of only grooming their dog twice a year, and saying that it's bizarre that they would be upset that you did a terrible job. The very least you should have offered was a refund, but your lack of care and how you choose to communicate with upset customers is simply reprehensible. It's understandable when people make mistakes, and had they been apologetic and offered to make it right somehow, I still would've been upset, but I would have let it go. They DO NOT CARE about you or your pup. Don't risk getting caught on the other side of their poor service. Attached is a review from another customer on another platform, and the response of the business owner making excuses and accusations regardless of the evidence provided. Lastly, if a pup is moving around a lot and you were NOT asked to cut his fur off and it was NOT was that in the service request. How does it make sense that you cut his tail fur?! Pup moved around so we cut all his hair off, what?! are you serious right now?! ---- On a more personal note, I was pretty excited to support a latino business and/or groomer, being a latino entrepreneur myself. This experience has been such a let down and sets such of poor representation of our background, particularly in the attitude towards an validly upset customer.

I'm bummed to leave a less than stellar review on multiple levels, but I feel compelled to share my…read moreexperience. I called Cassandra to make an appointment for my doodle. While on the phone, I asked for rates, since they are not listed on the site. She informed me that she really couldn't give me an estimate even, and that only after seeing my dog's coat would she be able to offer a price. She informed that she mainly does smaller dogs, and I verified if she was wanting/willing to do my larger doodle (70lbs). She said she would. Here's my mistake -- I should have pressed further for a price, even a ballpark estimate, but I didn't. More on that in a second... We drove quite a ways out of our way to Cassandra's home near Olney, MD. She greeted us outside of her house where we talked for a few minutes before I handed off my dog in the driveway. Since we're in COVID times, I did not expect to go into her house or see where she grooms or have extensive conversation, and that was fine. I killed some time in the area and after two-ish hours, Cassandra called me to come pick up my doggo. She said she would be emailing me an invoice that I could pay prior to pickup. I open up my email and I see a bill for $220. TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY dollars. Wow! I was floored. We have never paid that much for a grooming ever, and we typically get our pup groomed in DC proper or downtown Silver Spring. Here, we drove out to rural MD, where she grooms from her home, so no overhead even, and the price is double that than what we typically pay. Also to mention, there was a $10 COVID cleaning fee included. I never stepped foot into her house, we wore masks in the driveway where I handed off my dog -- what's to clean? My dog? I assume she was getting a bath either way. Anywho, I didn't pay the bill right away, as I wanted to ask her about why the rate was so high in person. When I arrived, my dog was sheared from head to toe. She's a doodle but she looked like a weird greyhound. Ears, snout, everything, clipped to the skin with no styling to be seen. She explained that our dog's fur was matted and that this was the only answer. So, yes, our dog definitely had some matting in various spots but we brush her regularly and she was groomed 12 weeks prior, so we're not talking months and months of overgrown fur. Even if she had to take her fur down really close, she still could have styled her head/ears/face to have at least some semblance of the doodle cut... those areas were not matted at all. So not only was this the highest rate we have ever been asked to pay, it was also the worst groom my dog had ever received. When I picked up my dog, I nicely asked why the rate was so high, and explained that we typically pay about half that in DC. Cassandra told me that was standard rate. I disagreed and told her that we really have never paid close to that amount in 3 years. She shrugged. It was a quick and friendly exchange, and I was hoping that by giving her the opportunity to lower the rate, that she might. She didn't. I paid it and we left. We won't be going back. I don't know why I'm leaving two starts as opposed to one. One just seems so harsh. But tbh it was a one start experience. My strong advice: get a rate upfront.
