A variety of sushi (prepackaged, not very good). Chopsticks for the sushi! Natural peanut butter (i.e., just peanuts and salt), both creamy and crunchy. Generic ibuprofen (as well as the 2x more expensive branded versions). Basic office supplies. Everything we needed, plus canned sardines galore on sale (they're high in calcium and omega 3 fatty acids)--got some for emergency snacking on the road. The cashier was fast and friendly. I've been to a LOT of Walmarts over the years but this location I really dread going to... The…read moregrocery options in Laurel, MS are pretty limited and pretty depressing on average. You can't ever just go to one grocery store it seems as everywhere is out of things you need so you have to go on a grocery store tour to stock up on pretty basic items. It is like the lottery to find a store that has whole cream in stock and Walmart tends to have it in stock more than other spots but it tends to sell out fast for some reason. The meat selection just depresses me and the fresh fruit options typically lack what I'm looking for. I utterly hate coming to this place in the daytime as it is so miserably crowded so I tend to go vampire style as late as possible where it is far more peaceful and you can actually navigate the store without hordes of buggies slamming into you from all directions.
