Rude customer service and cashiers. Slow at doing their jobs and love to stare out the sliding glass doors into oblivion whilst attempting to scan the groceries.
The cashiers are slow and drag around creating long waiting lines, even when a customer politely suggests to put an item back because it will not scan properly. Instead, it's apparently acceptable to make a poor attempt to key in the barcode (still stopping to stare out the door for long moments at a time), and ultimately failing to put the code in properly.
Still, the cashier isn't satisfied. She yells at another young girl behind her to go find the price of the item after I had already told her multiple times just to put it back - I did not have time to stand around waiting on a price because I was just getting over being sick. I barely had enough energy to buy groceries, and I certainly did not have the patience to deal with a cashier that appeared to be spaced out on something.
But the cashier insists the other girl will be back by the time she finishes scanning all the groceries. I had about five items left at this point. Naturally, the cashier drags around even longer to prove her point. The other girl walked all the way to the back of the store to see the price, and by this time 4 or 5 customers were already behind me in line. Waiting for the spaced out cashier to get another employee to do her job because she was too lazy to type in numbers correctly.
This Corner Market store hires young teens for too many positions, and apparently they are incapable of doing their jobs at a steady pace. Not all customers want to stand around while cashiers stare out into lala land. Hire new employees that do not move at the pace of slugs or people will go elsewhere to get their weekly goods. Purely ridiculous. read more
