They cakes were attractive and tasted good, but even grocery store bakeries offer a broader selection. The balloon "smash" cakes were really cute, and the children enjoyed them. They close early on Saturday and are closed on Sunday. That makes getting cakes for Monday difficult, or you are getting day-old cakes. That's a bit of a hassle if you have an event scheduled for Monday. I was very disappointed when they tricked a customer into staying longer to wait for the birthday cake she ordered. They made it seem as though they had to finish it, but it was ready to go. The real reason they asked her stay was so an attorney could serve her with divorce papers. Unprofessional and pretty "crummy" in my opinion. I won't buy from this shop again, and when in Hattiesburg, I'll buy exclusively from Jody's Bakery.

Besides the fact that this is ignorant behavior, the betrothed couple were the last ones who deserve a reception with no cake. Most of the guest had to leave before it arrived. My friend paid for her cake on time; it should have been delivered on time. Are they under new management? I had recommended this bakery to my niece for her gender reveal cake. Guess what? When her husband cut the cake and they held up the slice: yellow cake. Thank God they already knew they were having a boy. Home Bake forgot the blue dye, but then they iced a yellow cake... for a gender reveal. Do they have a renegade baker too? My friend has tried to call them to take about the four hour delay on her wedding cake, and they dodge her call. Oh, wait, she did get one answer and the lady laughed. Home Bake used to be my go to, but now.... they are my never!
