I found myself having some time and wanted to try a German coffee house. I was surprised to see that such a place existed in Hattiesburg and that they had a cute little area to study and hangout in. Getting there, I was met with the owner whom is originally from Germany. He taught me many things about coffee and the menu that he has. He lets you smell the coffee and everything. It was a wonderful experience. I tried the spiced Mexican latte and loved it. The cup was huge but I finished it quickly. It was also afternoon and I was struggling. The ambiance is like a mix with LED lights, couches, tables and chairs, and plants and dog things. Imagine if your friend opened up a coffee shop, it feels kind of like that. I think this coffee shop would be my go to in Hattiesburg. How can you beat such great company and great coffee! P.S. I did not get the pretzel, and I regret it. The food is authentic german cuisine, made fresh to order, right down to the fresh made pretzel! We had the traditional bratwurst, schnitzel, potato salad, sauerkraut, and pretzel to share between us! Plenty of food!! All delicious! All authentic! I was visiting a friend in Hattiesburg and wanted to try a local coffee shop, and this one was open on Sundays. The barista was friendly and helpful. They use very large cups for their lattes and cappuccinos. My french vanilla cappuccino was tasty though. The pour over my friend ordered was a bit watery, so they could work on the bean to water ratio a bit. It's nice to have so much comfy seating and the back patio, but it almost looks too much like someone's home? Comfortable to sit and hang out for a bit though, and I could see it being more lively when USM is in session and not on winter break. read more

Mike and Benny are super nice guys and they make great coffee. It's obvious that they love all things coffee and all things German. The shop is super fun and decorated with fairytale murals that are a lot of fun. As of mid 2023 there is a bit of work in progress but it's still one of my current favorites. read more

Delicious coffee within walking distance from USM. If you don't know what you want the owner will take his time to explain the menu. They have a ton of drinks I haven't seen anywhere else (coffee tonics) and the service is always quick and friendly. There is normally a very cute dog waiting to greet you. Can't recommend this place enough-definitely one of Hattiesburg's hidden gems. read more
