Stopped by Oakland's Italian Grocery: loaded up on olive oil, Ricci's Italian sausage, biscottis, deli cheeses, spices and delicious meatballs They have a ton of good stuff here: fresh produce, cuts of meat, fresh pasta, desserts, seasonings and herbs, cheeses, hot meals, deli trays, etc., but no ice so bring a cooler and ice if you plan to load up.

Not anywhere near our house but worth the drive. My family love their spicy antipasto salad. Tons of stuff in a small store.

A lot of everything packed into a small space that gives off that warm inviting Italian Sunday dinner feel.

The smell of the fresh pressed tortillas hits you when you walk in here. They have a nice selection of items and I think their prices are great too. Their taco stand is something I always pass and think oh that smells good. I can't believe it took me this long to finally try them out! We got the potato & chorizo and steak tacos. Both were so delicious. They are simple but delicious tacos & they have a few sauces out for you to put on after they give them to you too. We both opted for the crema this time! These tacos are seriously the perfect grab and go bite when you need a break from shopping in the strip!

Our Strip District Food Tour had a stop at Reyna with some fresh salsa and tortilla chips... and I am absolutely hooked!!! We bought a Peach Bourbon Salsa and a Guava Jarritos! The salsa was so fresh and authentic that the flavor is far superior to any jarred variety. Sold in small plastic tubs, you might think to overlook them, but boy... that even speaks to how good they are. Walking around the shop, you can watch fresh tortillas made on a very authentic and manual process. You can also open the garbage cans of peppers in the back to see the "by pound" varieties of every spicy pepper in existence. The best part... if you linger long enough at a certain aisle or just can't figure out what to get - the employees are right there to help you out with any questions and suggestions on how to make your meal that much better!!

I wasn't allowed a taste as she loved them. I am more boring, great burger and fries. Great service, our server kept up with me (I tend to drink a LOT of diet coke). knew the menu and was very attentive. All told a great meal, interesting decor and a great meal out.

Wholey & Co. is a historic Pittsburgh seafood market, established in 1912, known for its vast selection of fresh, frozen, and live seafood, meats, and poultry, plus a popular hot food counter famous for its large fish sandwiches. Located in the Strip District, Wholey's offers a traditional market experience with live lobster tanks and a deli, alongside online ordering and delivery services, and is a city staple for both locals and visitors like me Outside a vendor was serving lobster rolls. We wanted the pre-made ones. We walked around the store observing the large array of fresh seafood, looking for the lobster rolls. We found the live lobsters , with someone holding one. Fun! Finally we found the case with the lobster rolls and sat down to enjoy them. They were quite tasty! .

I live in Chicago which is basically the mecca for sandwiches, (sangwich if you're a local) but Primanti is the gem of the east. I habitually get the capocollo (gabagool). That means bread - meat - fries - slaw - bread. I also have an Iron City because - well - Iron City. This trip I started the Pitts-burger. Soft bread with a perfectly spiced burger patty and the some delicious fries and tangy cole slaw. This was a truly remarkable sandwich. I didn't eat it as much as I experienced it. Nikki - the young woman who ran the packed joint like a well-oiled machine - really took good care of us - and always with a smile. When we were getting ready to leave after a couple days in the Steel City - we went back to see Nikki and try a new sandwich. We both went with the pastrami. It was amazing. My buddy and I have traveled a lot and have eaten many pastrami sandwiches, but the Primanti spin on the classis is peerless. We said good-bye to our new friend, Nikki, and headed back to the Windy City - planning our next trip to Pittsburgh. and Primanti Bros on the Strip.

The sandwich itself was okay - just wished that the pastrami was actually hot - it was a little weird, since the items seemed to have been heated on the grill. Bread was forgettable. The fries were tasty, as they were hand-cut; honestly, they were better pulled out of the sammie and eaten separately with the cheese sauce. Staff were friendly, and there were a handful of people dining in; we were thinking of stopping by earlier, but there was a line during the lunch rush. You can also order online for a convenient pickup. Metered parking available in the area. +cheese sauce +tasty fries +friendly staff
