GRIS Football has truly been life-changing for my daughter, who is a goalkeeper. After a life-threatening injury, we were searching for a place where she could safely rebuild her confidence and skills. Sam and Blake welcomed her with genuine care, guiding her through both physical and mental recovery. Their encouragement and expertise not only helped her regain her strength, kicking, and jumping abilities, but also transformed her footwork, enabling her to play confidently out the back and even on the field. Every week, she looks forward to training and leaves feeling motivated and supported. Sam and Blake's advice has made a huge difference--not just in her play, but in her outlook on life. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and compassion. If you want coaches who truly care and make a lasting impact, I cannot recommend GRIS Football highly enough! read more

My daughter has been training with Blake at Gris for the past six months and we are so happy with our decision. Her skills have noticeable improved and she really enjoys her time here while learning to be more effective on the field and in goal. For our family, we were going in between joining a club or doing one on one training to help her get to the next level and I am absolutely convinced that this was the best option. The facility at Gris is well thought out, with plenty of space for the athletes to do strength training and work on soccer skills. Coaches Blake and Sam have been great about creating a positive environment for my daughter to train in and it always feels like time well spent. We are very happy to have her here and would recommend it to others looking to improve skill sets and become a better, more versatile player overall. read more

Blake and Sam continue to find ways to impact players and their families in such an amazingly positive way. They truly care and want to make my a player their best. They do this with insight and high expectations for performance. It's been less than a year and our son has jumped multiple levels in the scam that is paying to play club soccer... the insight and development they have made with my son in less than a year is greater than five years with LUFC coaches... you truly get what you pay for here!!! read more

Finding a long term soccer training facility for my 9-year old son was important to me. He has attended local camps, joined indoor leagues, and had private one on one training with others but I can confidently say Blake and Sam at GRIS have exceeded my expectations and shown to be a much better value than the previous options. The facility is top-notch and the training is tailormade for each player. Whether it's drills to improve dribbling, passing, or shooting, every session is planned to maximum the player's growth and fun. My son has been at GRIS for about 4-months (16+ sessions) and, while I am very happy with his technical growth, I am even more excited about his increased confidence. He is excited about each training session and his growth has shown up on the pitch. Highly recommended. read more

Our family absolutely love Sam and Blake. Our kids have been training with them for a couple of years now. Their focus is not only on improving their skills/conditioning but also on making them better people. It is a family atmosphere and one I feel that my kids thrive in. Sam and Blake both take the time to get to know the kids and the parents. They'll develop a plan focused on the individual needs of the athlete. They are awesome both as a team and as individuals. We can't recommend them enough. read more

GRIS is a wonderful training facility that provides hands on, one on one sessions that have pushed me beyond my mental limits. Here, I've done exercises I never thought I would ever do and I physically see, and feel a difference from when I began training a year ago. Blake is extremely encouraging and is passionate about what he does. I appreciate that he makes every single client, myself included feel like family. I look forward to my sessions with Blake, most days :) Even when I'm exausted. While I utilize their personal training sessions for strength and cardio for personal body goals; GRIS also provides soccer training where I've witnessed first hand the attention to detail Blake and Sam put in with each individual. I recommend whether you are looking for a personal trainer or you are a parent seeking to excel your child's soccer performance to the next level, this is a place where you will feel the most comfortable. read more

Amazing facility with an outstanding group of coaches. Blake always motivates me beyond my physical boundaries and I have seen tremendous progress in both my condition and play as a result. Our boys have been training with Coach Blake and Coach Sam for years... both coaches are professional, experienced, knowledgeable and more importantly, ideal role models for our boys. Blake and Sam tailor training, whether it's a joint session or individual, taking into consideration other training the kids do and what tournaments or games they have for the upcoming weekend or month. Gris is truly a family establishment - our boys feel both nurtured and challenged and we trust Blake and Sam as mentors. We also appreciate that Blake and Sam invite and ask for feedback. They often check in with us and ask if they can do anything better and that is priceless. They continue to perfect their craft as coaches - they study and learn and grow themselves as they guide our boys in their soccer journey. The vast improvement our boys have shown is a testament to Gris' dedication to the development of their players. read more

We have trained with Sam for over 6 years and Blake for 2 years now. While their technical soccer skills are superior, the best thing about GRIS is the environment and culture that they have meticulously and intentionally developed. They are men of high integrity and acutely aware of the psychological side of training and development. They balance the push/pull carrot/stick approach to extract the best soccer from each athlete. Finally, as the parent of a young daughter, I trust that my child can safely develop into her best version while a member of the GRIS family. Thank you Sam and Blake! read more

Blake is a skilled and encouraging coach. My daughter looks forward to training with him year-round. He is willing to meet at local fields or his training center. If players have injuries he has the expertise to work around them and has treatment options. He even planned a scrimmage for my adult staff members who love Soccer. It was a great outdoor morale event. He is professional and accommodating. read more

I can't say enough on what a difference Gris has made in my daughter's soccer abilities. The one on one training, working on specific skills, guidance with strength and conditioning as well as nutrition, has been a game changer. Their personalization builds confidence and helps your child's motivation to succeed. Gris has everything your child needs to grow and flourish in the sport. They truly believe in every client they take in and they become family in the warehouse. The kids welcome everyone and help motivate each other. What was uncomfortable to them, they teach to embrace and view it differently as a challenge, rather than a fear. I love Sam and Blake and all their hard work, dedication, compassion and love for the sport and the athletes. I read more

I have trained with Blake since 2020 and have since seen immense growth in my strength performance. As a NCAA Division 1 athlete, my strength development is critical to my performance on the soccer field. Additionally, the individualized support from both Blake and Sam has made training at Gris not only become a place for me to work out and better myself physically and mentally, but a community I am proud to be a part of. It's been fascinating and exhilarating to watch my son's progression since coming to Gris. He was always talented on the soccer field, but Blake has taken him to a completely different level through enhanced strength, fitness, game strategy and management. He use to get knocked around a bit on the pitch, but now he's the one doing the knocking. Not only has Blake brought my son's soccer ability to another level, he has also made him into a better human being by enhancing his focus, dedication, and instilling in him a sense of pride through accomplishment. I could not recommend Gris anymore highly. read more

Gris training facility has really helped me reach my fitness goals. Shortly after visiting Gris, I knew this was the place for me. Blake (owner and trainer) really dedicates his time to his clients. I've had plenty of trainers, and I can say, without a doubt, that Blake goes above and beyond. He has dedicated so much time in my conditioning, nutrition, and makes sure my body fat content is measured so I can stick to the goals we have created. After putting my fitness goal in place a few months ago, I have definitely seen results. I am feeling and looking my best ever. I have Blake to thank for that. If you are looking for a positive, upbeat, 1 on 1 environment, Gris is the place for you. I highly recommend it. read more

I'd give many more stars if I could to Gris! My daughter started working with Blake when she was 10 years old and we were stuck with nowhere to play during Covid. Blake, the owner and trainer, met with us on a grass field in Aliso Viejo and later we moved to his fantastic facility conveniently located by the Irvine Spectrum. We've worked with other trainers, but Blake was the most interested in my daughter's whole being - not only the skills, but her focus, confidence, and us as an entire family. We have worked with Blake non-stop since then, even when club soccer returned, Blake had become such an integral part of my daughter's development that we have kept it up consistently. Her skills leapfrogged in the time we've been with him, her confidence on the ball is significantly improved, and most importantly, she still loves to go train. Blake pushes and challenges his kids that work to their potential, and cares deeply about their personal growth. He makes it a point to communicate consistently and transparently with us, checks in on progress and development, offers advice when we seek his counsel, and partners effectively with her club coach to ensure alignment of training with team needs. My deep respect and appreciation for what Blake is building with Gris, and I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a partner in their child's soccer development and passion for the game. read more

I wish this wasn't only limited to five stars because they deserve hundreds. Blake is amazing and extremely dedicated to his clients, making it an easy decision to continue working out with him. I'm not even a soccer player, I play softball, and I can see how much I've improved since my first session. Blake can work with any type of athlete, and make anyone feel at home. He truly cares for every one of his clients like they're his own family, and you can see how much he wants everybody to become their best self. I look forward to going there every week, because the environment is better than anything I have experienced. I absolutely recommend coming here if you are looking for something that will not only help you grow physically, but mentally as well. I strongly believe that having a trainer or coach that you actually enjoy working out with is extremely important. Blake is that person and more. read more

My experience with the Gris training facility has been absolutely fantastic. I play soccer, and I needed a lot of help with strength training to raise my game to the next level. Blake, the trainer and owner of this facility, has been helping me immensely to reach my goals that I want to achieve. My favorite part about the facility that not a lot of the other warehouse has is that there is a turf field to the side that allows me to train without having to go to a soccer field. This allows me to save so much time as a student-athlete. I would highly recommend this place for all soccer players in the area that is looking to get both quality strength and soccer training. Blake does a awesome job with following COVID protocols that allows me to comfortably train. He makes sure that all his athletes and clients feel comfortable and protected while they're at training. Blake is someone that really dedicates his time and effort into helping his clients reach their goals and continuously improve. I highly recommend this place, and it still amazes me to this day that finally a training facility with an experienced trainer is located in Irvine. I always wished for a training center like this, and I would like to thank Blake for that. read more
