Well the food is mediocre the ground beef is seasoned well but the rice taste like something off of a Walmart shelf and these assholes forgot to give me silverware in my to go order so now I have to eat my food with my fingers.

This location has upped all prices, reduced sizes and quality. Very disappointe. could have had a legit meal next door for the same price.

Food is great but the service is extremely slow. I waited 15 minutes in drive thru! Unacceptable!

I just love Gringos. The bean burritos and crispy beef tacos are the best. And the jalapeno hot sauce is my all-time favorite.

I like Gringos, they are slow but when you have to sit in drive thru for over 20 minutes for a fast food two thumbs down 8-19-28

Of course I've been back several times since my last review a couple years ago, but since I tried…read moresomething new this time, I figured it deserved another mention. The ambience and bar service are still killer. I actually came for the cheese dip, but ended up ordering the Salmon Verda plate too, and I'm glad I did. It was absolutely amazing. My original plan was to get the fajitas (my go to), but after eating way too many chips and cheese dip, I figured I should balance things out with something a little healthier. The salmon ended up being the perfect choice. It was cooked just right and honestly better than I expected. I usually decide what to order based on pictures from Yelp, but there weren't any for this dish. So... you're welcome.

Came back a second time and it was still delicious. This time my wife tried the steak taco and…read morepickle fried chicken taco with the cowboy caviar while I had the grilled shrimp and pineapple salad. Still had the pina colada of course and their queso of course because both are always perfect and delicious. I want to be clear that just because I'm offering some criticism in this post, it doesn't t mean I didn't enjoy it. My shrimp in the grilled shrimp and pineapple salad were a bit salty and felt a little basic but I loved the lime vinaigrette. My wife's tacos were delicious but were barely warm. The Cowboy Caviar was a great side but strangely, it needed a bit of salt. Don't care. Still love the food and vibe here.

Staff is friendly and welcoming. Interestingly, they were…read moreplaying Cuban jazz and salsa--pleasant, but I found myself wishing for something like Selena y Los Dinos or Emmanuel Cortes to better match the vibe. The agave spirits selection is underwhelming, though that may be influenced by visiting the day after "Gringo de Mayo." The chips are comparable to standard "restaurant-style" options you'd find at a grocery store. The quesadilla is a bit unusual--there's no integrated mix of cheese and protein. Instead, the components are kept separate, which explains why the menu describes it as "baked." I initially thought that was odd, but it makes more sense now. The ranchero beans are overly salted, with little depth beyond that. While there appear to be other seasonings, they don't come through. The rice is plain and unremarkable.

When we arrived at the hotel late, we wanted to grab a quick dinner and I had eaten at an Abuelo's in Orlando many times. Felt like that was a solid choice for us since we knew it was not a gamble. Rick was our server and he was helpful and friendly. He brought out their trio of salsas with hot tortilla chips that felt like they were made minutes before. Not sure if they are, but they did taste fantastic! I love their queso here, and they had a Diablo one that I hadn't had before but we decided to get the dip trio- queso, Diablo queso, and guacamole. What an epic decision! They came with more tortilla chips but also chicharrones which was sturdier and could hold up to the thicker Diablo queso and guacamole. I couldn't stop eating the salsa and dips. I chose to get a combination plate, with an enchilada, taco, and tamale. Rick mentioned they had a mashed potato side that was tasty- not expected for a Mexican restaurant but I decided to take the recommendation. Rick came through, honestly I could've eaten just the dips and potatoes and had been super happy about it. I overate, which was a problem but in a good way because I fell asleep immediately after we got back to the hotel. We were doing a crazy travel week where we were in 5 states, two countries for meetings, so not a lot of rest. It's part of a chain but this one was clean, friendly, with great execution on the food. Rick was clutch with more salsa and chips which in the end was my undoing but I didn't care. Visit here and make sure you try their dips, and the mashed potato side which may have been one of the best things I had all week. Dead serious! The next time I go I'm going to ask for no rice and beans and just get these crazy mashed potatoes. Thank you Rick and Abuelo's for reminding me that every now and then, going to eat at a chain spot is still a good thing.
