Love being a member of Gringo's club! Each month they have wonderful free items. I needed to go to another store so I got my items to go. My food is always good here.

Rodriguez

The Rosenberg location was hopping for lunch today. It was crowded and it was a bit of a tight squeeze for the inside aisle seats. The service was good, albeit, a bit slow. Considering the packed room & my unlimited time for lunch today, I was okay with it. If I was in a rush, it would've been a concern. I ordered the Rodriguez. It has chicken and/or steak fajita nachos, a chicken enchilada, a chicken taquito, guacamole, sour cream, and a side of queso, served with Mexican rice and choice of beans. This is one of my favorite dishes because it has a of variety of dishes all in one. Everything on my plate was pretty good. The nachos were tasty but the cheese wasn't melted. Since the beans & meat were precooked it was ok but would've been better with gooey melted cheese.

Literally my favorite Tex-Mex chain to go to. Service has always been great in the Rosenberg location. Definitely get the fajita plate beef (medium rare). Most of their orders are shareable and everything is delicious. The red salsa on the tacos are a must!

Always a good time. Wasnt trying to eat a lot but here I am. The beans and rice always overdo it for me but thankfully I didnt finish the plate. Bartender was friendly.

Chicken Marisco Bowl

I had the chicken Marisco bowl, my usual. There was a young gentleman that helped me in to-go his name was Nick. I just wanted to give him a huge thanks. Kind people are so hard to find now in days and he was beyond kind! Thanks a bunch Nick for making my short visit so amazing!

Plato Soldado- $2 from every plate sold goes towards a PTSD group that helps veterans.

My husband and I came here last weekend for a late breakfast and it was perfect!…read more The tables were full so we opted to sit at the bar. The bar is actually really cool because the countertop is full of coins from one end all the way to the other! Haven't seen anything like it before so that was pretty neat. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich- as you can see from the picture, he enjoyed every bite! I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon. The chicken was thick and juicy, just how we like it, and the powdered sugar with strawberries on top really held that nice, sweet and savory fix I needed! Next time we come, I'll have to try the dessert and Bloody Mary!

Our friend had a burger and said it was very good. I drank beer, which was cold and our server kept them coming which was great! Would go back for the fish and chips! We then went especially on a Wednesday to have the Chicken Pot Pie special. It was served in a bowl type (very large mug) with a big croissant type bread sitting on top. Have never seen it this way so we were kinda surprised. It was not terrible but won't order it again. It came wth a very large side salad. Also ordered a cup of the potato soup. It was very runny and unfortunately not a potato to be found. Also would not order again. Their daily specials seem to be a good deal. Their menu has quite a selection as well. Definitely want to try their breakfast!

See my picture of the extra dressing left over in the bowl. The bao buns were both good. The chicken katsu was crunchy and the chicken was tender. I didn't like the "crumbs"'on top but they were easy enough to scrap off. The beef bao wasn't as good. There was a huge chunk of fat on it. See my picture. That was a disappointment. The bun itself was fluffy and overall they were pretty good. A bit of attention to the beef would've given them a higher score. That amount of fat was unacceptable in my book. The server was nice and came by to check on us an appropriate number of times. The small restaurant was kept up well. A bit of stuff stored along the wall but it appeared clean. The restroom was tidy. There were a couple of mis-steps that could've been avoided with closer attention but overall it was ok.

When our served came to the table, he did not introduce himself and didn't seem too happy to be at work (which I understand, but you are providing a service to someone). I felt like a burden to him. Our server wasn't as attentive or interactive with us. He asked for our drink orders and shortly came back to take our food order. We ordered the Steamed Beef Dumplings, Thai Spicy Shrimp Ramen, and the Spicy Duck Miso Ramen. The food came out quickly. I'm talking maybe 5 minutes after placing the order. Everything tasted great and was served hot and fresh.

Sandy McGee's is a downtown Richmond, TX staple! It's one of those restaurants in the area you…read morehave to try at least once. It is known for its chicken salad, and as a big chicken salad fan... I honestly didn't think it lived up to the hype. Sorry. It was good but it didn't blow me away as the best chicken salad I've ever had. Nonetheless, I had it with my "Ann's Plate" which is a scoop of chicken salad, fruit salad, and a cup of soup. Its just enough food to get you full, but light enough to not make you FEEL too full. However, that cold avocado soup-- wasn't great. I wanted to like it because it was 100 degrees out and figured on a hot day, it would be cool and refreshing. I think that was the idea behind it but the execution wasn't there. Service-wise, no problems there. The staff is friendly and works really hard, since this place is pretty busy and popular at all times of the day, at seems! Definitely a neighborhood favorite and the locals love it.

It was self seating but the way the rooms are split up, we weren't 100% sure where we were allowed to sit and no one was in the front greeting anyone as they come in so you couldn't really ask questions unless you go to the bar first which was located towards the back. The tables were all dirty so we picked the least dirty table which still had crumbs all over it but we just tried to wipe them away as best as we could. The customers who came in after us picked the table next to us which was dirty as well but their server went and wiped it down for them which was nice. Our server was kind and answered all of our questions and we did inform her it was our first time so she suggested a few appetizers and we started with French Onion Dip. It was TO DIE FOR! The tortilla chips it comes with were perfectly crisped and salted and it hit all the right flavors. The food? Oh my word. The servings are MASSIVE. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak with a side of onion rings and it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken Cobb salad with a side of their Brussel sprouts. The chicken Cobb salad came with two small scoops of chicken salad and it was so light and refreshing and nothing like any other chicken salad I've ever had! Our server brought me a little bit of Parmesan cheese to top off the Brussel sprouts with and it was so good. All in all, the food was a hit! I wish I remembered to try the broccoli and cheese soup so we will be back in the future. Definitely recommend. We don't understand how Sandy McGee's only has a 3.7 rating after trying this spot out!
