This was an unusual Labor Day meal. We found a snake in our garage and that completely through our day off. Gringos is a casual Tex-Mex restaurant. This place hands down have the best salsa and chips. The chips are light and crisp. The salsa has just the mixture of spices with a nice kick. I ordered the Marisco Pollo Pick. The entree consist of a chicken breast topped with gulf shrimp and crawfish tails sautéed in a creamy white wine sauce. The chicken breast was so juicy and the sauce was delicious. The sides were rice and a salad. I also had a frozen mango margarita. read more

Good drinks and food. . Location on Hwy 59 S and Airline Drive in Stafford can use some better service at bar area. Lackluster service was experienced on two occasions. Will try patronizing another location. Hopefully better. read more

I like their food, but don't use door dash when ordering from this place. The first time I ordered they forgot the queso.. AND tortillas for fajitas! I figured I'd give it another try.. well this time, I again ordered queso with the meals and now NO CHIPS! I even requested extra chips.. How does this happen? I don't know if the cashier Jehlani just can't do a job or if the door dash person stole them.. it's unfortunate that I can't tell who's at fault. It's just annoying to deal with. read more

The food is watered down that's for sure to the salsa and enchiladas. My plate the enchiladas weren't even holding together it was very disappointing. So we went back for another try tonight I know an a Saturday it usually a long long wait but we only waited 10mins for a table. Food was great salas actually stayed on the chips, enchiladas AMAZING and hot. My kids ate everything they said it was good, way to step your game up very impressed this time, we'll will definitely be back for more. read more

Love the food, drinks and service. It's a little crowded sometimes because it is so popular. In my opinion that's the only negative.

Every location over the years has been great, food and customer service wise. The drinks are a major plus.

It's unbelievable how every single time I eat or order at this place, they get my order completely wrong. They are incapable of listening.. order the family fajitas to go and ask for a mixture of corn and flour tortillas and they only give flour. Ask for a coke without ice and they give ice. Order takeout and be told a specific time and wait for 45 minutes until it's finally ready. I was a waitress for several years and my family owns 9 restaurants so I understand mistakes here and there... that's not what this is.. this is poor service every single time without fail. read more

Ordered the family fajitas of chick and steak! And I must say I was highly upset I've been living over here for 4 years and was missing out on this AMAZING food! Everything was cooked and tasted wonderful! read more

Traveling in the Houston area and had to try out some Tex Mex while I was in town. Was intending to grab some dinner to go but when I arrived the bar had a few seats open and the friendly bartender encouraged me to stay. Upon my review of the drinks menu I was perplexed as to which cocktail to try - so I asked for some advice. My bartender confidently assured me that the seasonal watermelon margarita was just what I was looking for. I didn't expect the size I got ( it was a bowl not a glass ) but the huge slice of watermelon on the side of the rim complemented the drink nicely. The drink was the right combination of sweet and tangy - the alcohol perfectly balanced - it was delightful. I promptly received a huge basket of tortilla chips and two sides - fresh salsa and a creamy dip I couldn't place. I also was surprised with a sample of their queso cheese dip - Devine melty-ness and I could have overdosed on it - but I wanted to leave room for my main dinner. I ordered the Chili- Relenos plate with ground beef( this is one of my favorite mex dishes). I was not disappointed - it was the first time I had this dish with meat stuffed inside the chili pepper but the combination of sauce, cheese and beef made the meal terrific but was way too much to eat !!! My bartender was very attentive to me and even shared with me a small sample of his mango margarita which was superb ( didn't have drink regret but sure would recommend it to anyone who was looking for more of a tropical drink) Overall this was a great meal and environment to have a dinner. Place was packed so if you have a large group prepare to wait. Hope to make it back here again in the future read more

Good food, fast service, great chips and salsa. The food is always good, even the salads which are usually not great at Texmex. It usually gets to the table faster than expected. Even with a large family we've never had to wait long to get our food. The chips and salsa ranks as some of the best around. Chips are always crispy and the salsa is a good texture for dipping with the right amount of spice. Added bonus is the free ice cream which is always a hit for the kids. read more

Very good food! Waitress was very nice and she knew the menu, helping us decide what to order. The only thing it did take a bit to get the to go box and pay but maybe due to staffing from COVID. Overall was a good lunch! read more

Visited this location Friday evening. The service was good, however, I ordered the Pollo Marisco and the wine cream sauce had been replaced with queso...yuck! Also, the chips tasted like the oil was getting old. read more

So I listened to the others and ordered the Pollo Marisco. It was so good! If I wasn't with a bunch of other people I would go back tomorrow to eat it again! My only complaint would be that my charro beans weren't very warm. They tasted good, but I think they sat in the window for too long. For that reason alone I decided to knock off a star. I'm so happy I decided to try this place. read more

Some of the best texmex there is! We love the fajita bowl, the tortillas, fish tacos, queso, cheese enchiladas, and probably everything.

Yet another excellent Tex-Mex restaurant! The combo fajitas for two hit the spot. The tortillas were delicious, the meats flavorful, and the tortilla chips addictive. Great service kept the chips and tortillas coming until I couldn't take another bite. Well done! read more

Yeah their food is good, but Jesus Christ and Allah, do y'all have to pack em in like pickles?! We shoulder to shoulder! If I have to ask the table behind me to move their chair an inch so I can get out, we're too close! And the wiping down of the tables? Y'all use the same dirty rag for all the tables and it's really more of a swipe right, left...done. Y'all got COVID running rampant now, don't y'all? That's why I chose delivery; BUT NO MORE! Your delivery sucks so bad I'm disgusted. Undercooked chicken grossed me out so bad, and y'all wouldn't even refund half my order. After 3 disgusting deliveries, I'm out. Which is disappointing because there's not a whole lot of good restaurants in this area. The manager is pretty good tho, tries to accommodate and returns calls. But never once received a refund. No more Gringo's for me unless I travel further. read more

Incredibly FAST service tonight! My meal was on the table five minutes after it was ordered! The citrus tea is highly addictive. It does not contain alcohol, but its flavor is so good, you cannot have only one. I will not have an adult beverage tonight, this is so good. The meal was very fresh and hot from the oven. Ordered the pollo marisco and it was excellent. Chicken breast was not dried out, grilled to perfection. The combination of the chicken, shrimp, crawfish tails, and white wine sauce was just right. Portions were large and could be shared. To the owners: PLEASE build a location in the north Fort Worth area ASAP! We need this kind of quality in our dining out market. read more

3 stars for the food only. The service was Sad and Bad. We waited 40 mins for a table which is fine, but then they tell us we are not on the list when we ask, and we had their text they sent us to prove it. And then they don't even act like they care. Rude! Our server Taylor was just short and seemed mad at the world. She literately threw are plates down at the table! Really! I wish I would of had my camera on! Just ridiculous. I understand if she was in a rush, but it's just plain rude! We had to get up and Ask to speak to a mgr just to get more chips! The mgr and servers were just chatting by the kitchen like no big deal We ordered a dessert and she brought us the Bill instead and no dessert. I tried to be nice about it and we tipped her good even though she really did not deserve it. We use to love coming here but not sure about any more. read more

Had the hatch chille pollo y camarones ! It was good the chicken was soft and the shrimp had a decent amount. The server Tammy was really friendly and fast. They have very good food. Service is always great. To Go messes up the orders on occasion.

The service has gone way down hill! I'd rather drive out to Stafford and get Pappasitos.

Awesome margueritas. Food is good. Ambiance is cheerful. Closed on taco Tuesday lol but still good

I bought a chicken chimichanga today. It was loaded with salt. Even the con queso was a little on the salty side. The rest of the stuff that came with the order: chips , salsa, green sauce had the right amount of salt. I should have dined in. That way I could tell the server to get me another dish. read more

Just got into town and was looking for some good food. And let me tell you, Best food we have eaten since COVID-19. The service was absolutely amazing. Check in was super easy as well. They even called us to make sure we we're coming. Both the green and red salsa was on point. I got the Cadillac frozen margarita which was the BOMB!!! Hubby got a Dos Esquios dressed. I had the fajitas bowl with beef and had the rice taken out and opted for lettuce. Even though it's a hot dish the lettuce was surprisingly good in it. Hubby had the chicken fajitas and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Our server Melanie is very informative and really does take care of her customers. She made the dining experience during Absolutely wonderful. Just want to say thank you Melanie, you did a superb job. We will come see you again next time we are in town. If you go here make sure to ask for Melanie you will not be disappointed. read more

We've heard a lot of good things about Gringo's. I think it was good for the value and portions are really big! You definitely get a lot for what you pay. We came during lunch hour which was very busy we had to sit outside and wait but they have plenty of seating for everyone who has to wait. We waited about 10 minutes the restaurant was busy but our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Great service, Definitely recommend for a good Tex-Mex restaurant. read more

Went to dinner . Was told a 35 minute wait . No problem . Sweltering heat outside and we noticed lots of others waiting along a side wall for their table . After they were all seated we were asked to remain waiting outside . Maybe that is their policy which is fine but it should apply to everyone. There was a lady standing there with her mixed drink waiting for her table . Told us she was a regular .. she remained inside . Needless to say we left and will not be returning. Plenty of other places to eat with better customer service read more

Overpriced food and you don't get very much of it. Went there for my kids spirit night and they wouldn't apply the school so they could get credit because I placed the order online. Our all time favorite Mexican Restaurant. I love the green sauce and the salsa is great. The first time I was at Gringo's a waiter recommended the Pollo Marisco. Simply wonderful. I thought so much about it, when I got home to Wharton, I told the Wife I wanted her to try something with me. She couldn't believe how good it was! For me to eat at the same place twice in a day says something about the place! GRIN I also love the Beef Marisco and their black beans are great! A great place to go, and our favorite! read more
