Their food is from the rich culinary traditions of Oaxaca, every dish here feels authentic, and beautifully placed. The atmosphere and decor stands out. It's chic and stylish, not your typical Mexican restaurant. What we tried: 1Nachos - home made chips so good 2 Ceviche de Camuron - with shrimp , so refreshing. 3 Mole Amarillo- Grilled Octopus, amazingly tender. Mole is their traditional dish, uses 27 spices to cook. The taste similar to curry to me 4 Quesabirrias - highly recommended

We were seated quickly at 5pm and didn't wait long for our food either, so it seems to be a great place to eat before catching a show. The decor is nice - high ceilings, lots of natural light, tables not super close together. Service was very friendly and responsive. It might help to have a reservation at busier times because a line was forming as we left. The food was pretty good, more interesting dishes than your usual family Mexican place. The salmon tacos could have used a bit more sauce. The tostada was a perfect small plate. The churro dessert was OK - the churros were on the smaller side and a little overcooked, but we still ate all of it. Pro tip - get the 5 churros instead of 3 if you are sharing, as they're small. Prices were reasonable for a nicer sit down restaurant. We'd go back.

Warm, buzzy, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. The enchiladas are my go-to, saucy and cheesy and full of flavour, I order them almost every time and they never miss. But truly everything here is great. The tacos are excellent across the board, the guacamole is fresh, the nachos come loaded, and you should absolutely save room for the churros because they're some of the best I've had. Portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable for how much food you get. The margaritas don't disappoint either. It gets busy, especially on weekends, but the staff keep things moving and are lovely the whole way through. A proper hidden gem. I go whenever I'm downtown.

They have a pretty good indoor space that can fit a good amount of people. Their food and overall vibe was very authentic Mexican food. They gave us a bowl of chips when we sat which was nice. For starters we ordered their chips and guac which was good! The guac came with feta cheese and guac tasted fresh. For mains I got their huarache de la casa, it was layered with tortillas (kind of like a cake of tortillas), carne asada, beans, lettuce, cream and cheese. It was cheesy and flavourful and super filling! I loved it! My friend got their gringa tacos which were on soft shells and pretty good as well. I would recommend this spot!

The food is definitely authentic Mexican, not Tex-Mex, but the real thing. I particularly enjoyed my Enchiladas Sauza, which is a recipe I have not seen anywhere else except in Southern California. The chicken enchiladas were doused with a wonderfully piquant green sauce that was perfect. We also enjoyed the assortment of guacamole, refried beans, and salsa that was served with chips as an appetizer. The margaritas are interesting here because they are served as a cocktail, shaken, not stirred, and presented in a coupe glass, which I actually really liked a lot because you get much more margarita and a real purity of flavors.

The service was great, sweet and thoughtful service and happy to modify a few items for us. Their drink menu was extensive and difficult to read - even the 20 somethings next to us had their phones out to try and read it so I didn't feel so bad (I don't usually have a problem reading anything)! I liked the spicy marg and my dining partner liked her regular marg but they were both lukewarmish - not complaining - just saying if you like your margs cold ask for ice which we did on the second round. We shared the trio plate (chipotle beans, guacamole and salsa) and it was great, very filling and we loved the salsa taste. The taco platter was a perfect follow up - nice to split 2 and 2 and the veg ones were very tasty and by all accounts the carnitas were awesome too. They do a nice tribute to birthdays if you're celebrating here, it was very nice and we laughed very hard. Thanks for a great night Cielito Lindo team - see you again soon!

We started with the guacamole and chips, then shared the pollo frito burrito, rajas con crema taco, tinga de pollo taco, and the Pescado Estilo Baja taco. To drink, my boyfriend had the mango margarita while I enjoyed the refreshing hibiscus drink. Overall, the food was solid and everything was fresh and flavorful. The only thing we both wished for was a bit more heat in the salsa--it wasn't quite spicy enough for our tastes. The space itself is adorable and really makes you feel like you've been transported to an authentic Mexican cantina. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.
