Had a blast at this show! The only problem was I wish it was like 10 minutes longer. The Grinch was amazing and I enjoyed the actress who played Cindy Lou. My daughter thought she was just okay. Different strokes... The set design and costumes were really amazing. The show put me in the holiday mood. I loved the falling snow at the finale. All in all, I highly recommend going during your holiday season visit to Universal. It's worth it!

Full production Who-ville spectacular production! Well done! (it's gets more festive than this )

What an amazing production! I don't know if they offer this every year, but if they do, it's a definite 'must'. During our visit masks were recommended for indoor activities, but optional and most of the guests were not wearing them. Some of the actors were wearing masks as well, so it's really personal preference. You can access the show from either park. The theater seems to be located behind the HRC, and it was quite a long walk from Island of Adventure, out of the park, behind the scenes, and then into the other park where the theater is located. That was actually fun. The theater itself is large and it's first come, first seated, so if you like to be front and center, get to the show early to claim your seat. After the show, we returned to the park via the same behind the scenes route. The stage set is very nicely done; bright and colorful. 'Max' is played by a pup (and their handler keeping tabs on this particular actor). There is singing, dancing, lots of props, comedy and it's just good fun for the whole family. I'm not a huge 'Grinch' fan, but this show really was a lot of fun and well worth a visit.

This was amazingly awesome! We had such a good time doing and seeing grinchmas. The grinch was such a good actor and the play was too notch. This is for sure a must see and experience

The Grinchmas is the Holiday show at Universal, located at Islands of Adventure. The seasonal show runs from November through early January 2nd after the New Years. The show is located in Dr.Seuss Landing right between the Cat and the Hat Ride and One Fish, Two Fish. Seuss Landing is also decorated for the Holidays. It's quite beautiful, especially at night. There are a variety of great pictures that you can take. The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular runs about 30 minutes and is located in the back-lot. It's slightly a walk to get to the theatre area. It is a family-friendly show and has lots of singing/dancing. Right now, with the health restrictions, all of the singers wear face masks. Max is a real dog which is pretty cool. Towards the end of the show, you'll see snow fall from within the middle of the auditorium. We ended up arriving about 15 minutes prior to the show and got decent seats to the left center of the stage. We didn't sit too close as we wanted to be able to view the entire show. The singing was absolutely amazing! This is by far one of my favorite Who-liday shows offered at Universal. It is a must see show if you're visiting Universal during the Holidays!

"You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch You really are a heel You're as cuddly as a cactus You're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch!" The Ginchmas Who-liday Spectacular Show is at Universal Islands of Adventure at Seuss Landing and stars the Grinch in the telling of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", features a full cast of Who-ville residents, Grinch's dog Max, and some great music by Mannheim Steamroller. The entire Seuss Landing gets transformed into WhoVille from the Grinch movie for the holidays in the name of Grinchmas and this Grinchmas show really puts the icing on the cake! The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular Show runs multiple times every day, November 17th through January 6th giving patrons a pretty large window to catch this seasonal show! Showtimes include: Nov. 17-24, Dec. 15-31, Jan. 1 - 10:45 am, 11:45, 12:45 pm, 1:45, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 Nov. 25-30, Dec. 1-14, Jan. 2-6 - 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30, 3:45, 4:45, 5:45 Seating for the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular is first come, first serve with no express pass available so you'll want to get in line 10-40 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin depending on how busy the park is or how close to Christmas time you visit because the park gets way busier December 20th through December 31st. We walked in 10 minutes before showtime without any problems early in December. Guests are led from Seuss Landing to a soundstage located between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. If you love dogs, I recommend sitting on the right side of the stage. From there you will get a closer look at Max, the Grinch's dog, and the Grinch's sleigh for the finale. Otherwise, I recommend sitting at the middle of the stage for the best view. Songs performed included: - Man with a bag - Where are you Christmas - You're a Mean one Mr Grinch - Deck the Halls - Fah who Foraz, Dah who Doraz - Welcome Christmas The Grinchmas show lasts 30 minutes which seems like the perfect length of time for me, not too short or too long. The character who played the Grinch was perfect! He sounded just like the grinch from the Jim Carrey Movie and he was pretty Funny too! I was surprised that they were able to train a real dog to act perfectly for the show too! The talent of the singers and the performers were spot on! I didn't notice any mistakes in our show! The Grinchmas show is perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit and i Highly recommend not missing it if you visit during the holidays! You wont regret it!

Amazing show we were able to catch last night! The grinch character(s) were the best and had the entire audience laughing and engaged the whole time they appeared. The singing quality of the performers was broadway quality and we had never been inside studio 20 so that was a great experience.

Near the end of Grinchmas! Cute show!

The lines were super short, so the students were able to ride things 3-4 times with no problem, which made it even more worth it. One of the best deals was the all day dining pass (you have to buy it online). For $24, you get 2 meals and a snack, which is a steal compared to the regular menu prices. Our first stop was Cluckees where we had tenders, wings, and fries. The portions were HUGE and everything was tasty, especially the fries. None of us could even finish our food! For our snack, we grabbed ice cream. The kids loved it, but it wasn't my favorite. Later, we went back to Cluckees for a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. This time it wasn't as good as earlier. Maybe a different cook or just an off moment. We didn't spend time in the arcade and stayed mostly outside. The park is a pretty decent size with plenty to do. Even as the day went on and traffic picked up, it never felt overly packed. The staff was friendly and very laid back, which added to the relaxed vibe of the day. Overall, it was a good experience. The kids really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 3.5. Btw I think there is a bee problem there. I saw bees flying around often. Not enough to ruin the experience, but I definitely noticed them.

It's all wet on the grounds here... turns out that's key to something later. Yes, it's wider and bigger than the one in the movie, part of that for safety reasons, I'm sure. Diagon Alley has a loop around (particularly if you're getting in the early line for Escape from Gringotts) that loops you around and there are stores from the movies and books - colorful shops are selling wizarding souvenirs and toys, and the Gringotts bank at the end of one street with a full-sized dragon that breathes fire about every 10min (look for sounds that spell it starting to grumble and burst into flames) from the roof of Gringotts. That's probably why the area is wet - to keep flame from causing issues. Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour has excellent ice cream - probably the best in all of the park. Definitely a beautiful and true-to-the-movies representation (on an amusement park scale). It delays regularly though - in our case a cart had to be removed and replaced on the track. It involves a lot of technology the way the game is designed. Our family of 4 did not understand the game at all and how we even gathered points. Thankfully we didn't stand in line as long and wouldn't recommend anyone else does. Sadly the other rides were not part of our day due to the lengthy wait times and in the case of Donkey Kong, so backed up that the single rider line was closed. We witnessed a lot of happy kids running around and tapping question marked boxes. Even for my older teen / adult children they stood in the space and smiled while they took it in. There's a huge parking garage which is $20 for the first 3 floors but free for the 4th floor and up, so of course, we parked on the 4th floor. There's a ton of food options between walk up and sit down joints. We picked a Mexican joint called Uncle Julio's. It was good for the price and location. Nothing super special but again, good for the price. Our day hit a bump in the road when we walked over to the attractions entrance. A guy named Malcom met us, I showed him my email receipt and he immediately said "oh, the Eye (the observation wheel) is down today". At first, he said they'd have to refund the 3 attraction combo ticket I bought, then I'd have to go online and re-buy a 2 attraction ticket. I didn't get upset or anything. I just calmly said "wait. Y'all can't help me with that right here?" and he said "give me a minute, let me see what I can figure out". To his credit, he really did have to jump through some hoops. The system was trying to force "surge pricing" on the transaction because of how busy they were and he was just trying to take care of a customer. I feel bad for a lot of customer service workers these days because their hands are so tied by some of these point of sale systems. He kept at it though and found a way to get the price down to what I would've paid if I'd just bought the 2 attractions a few weeks ago instead of 3. So again, huge shout out to Malcom for going the extra mile and overcoming a system he shouldn't have had to. We ended up having a fantastic day around Icon Park and I will share a separate post about how much fun we had with a test run at Ripley's Crazy Golf. I just really thought the customer service we received from Malcom was worth a post of it's own. A version of this review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.
