There is not any decent portable toilet provided here.. they are disgusting and they expect us to use them. They are not made for the amount of traffic that comes through here. So, it turned out I had a package of organic carrots that was recalled by Grimmway Farms. At the listing for the recall (https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/grimmway-farms-recalls-organic-whole-and-select-organic-baby-carrots-may-be-consumers-homes-due), there is a comment "Consumers with questions or products in their possession may contact our customer services desk at 1-800-301-3101, M-F, 8 am - 8 pm ET, and November 16-17, 8 am - 8 pm ET, or visit www.grimmway.com." I tried calling, and the voice prompts said to press "1" if you were calling about the recalled organic carrots, and "press 2 for all other inquiries". Well, when you press "1", you then get a recording that "Extension [mentions a 5 digit number] is an invalid entry", and it then it takes you back to the original recording. If you then press "2", you get another recorded message that says "Extension [another 5 digit number] is an invalid entry. Thank you for calling", and you are then disconnected! If you wait until after business hours to call, then there are other options. Obviously these people take zero responsibility for their products, and are deceitful in their communications. read more

This farm was started by the Grimm brothers in central California and is considered the largest shipper of carrots - besides producing potatoes, citrust, and carrot juice varieties, they have a line of smoothies that are quite delicious! The line is called 'True,' and it's organic - they have a variety of flavors, my favorite being the Bananaberry Crush (containing 3 strawberries, 2/3 of a banana, 1 3/4 apples, 1 beet, 1/4 of a carrot, and 1/4 of a kiwi) - it was sweet, wholesome, and just the right amount of thickness! They also have Blended Blue, Bunched Greens, Pure Carrot, Tropical Mango, and a Wild Berry Blend. They only unload Indian people first, even if they come after you because the workers are Indian too and they know each other; try to avoid this place unless you are Indian, then you are safe. Grimmway has a quality product and their company cares about the people that work for them. I bought their juices in the past and planned to work for this company in grocery stores (thinking is was a family farm. It's actually a national corporation with thousands of employees). But their application process and work culture is too authoritarian. Not a word about teamwork or valuing employees or the very people skills needed to be successful to do food demos. I felt like their paperwork was from 30 years ago. It's strictly about the company's demands and what you do for them. A whole page of disciplinary actions and punishments, something I've never seen at other companies I've worked for. I had to sign it before I did the application. I also had to pre-agree to do additional, but undisclosed assignments. Who ever heard to that? i sent off several e-mails about the issues. Some were not responded to. Their HR people were hostile and disrespectful. They reflected the aggressively-worded contracts and punishments (I haven't had any disciplinary actions against me in decades)!
