Jerky is ok. Took two weeks for them to get me the jerky with me paying the mailing. Not worth it

They are mostly an organic,…read morenatural type store, so think sorta whole foods, but maybe a little smaller, and possibly a little more expensive since they are not a national chain, but I was still able to find good value in many items. They also have a loyalty program. They do have pretty much everything you might need for a 3 day stay. I personally liked that they had an array of vegan friendly foods (while not vegan, I sometimes do like to do 1-2 days of "clean" eating when I'm traveling). They also have a hot bar and a salad bar along with a deli. I appreciate that they have a wide variety of food, and on the hot bar they do change it up daily. The staff is very friendly and will definitely help point you in the right direction if you can't find something. Its a place I could see visiting over and over when I'm in town.

Love this place! I don't know why it took us so long to finally order from here. We only decided to…read moregive it a try while browsing Uber Eats and noticed they had a great deal going on...free zeppoles plus 20% off a $25 order. For our most recent order, we got a large combination pizza with pink sauce, a large garden salad with ranch, and an order of zeppoles with chocolate caramel dipping sauce. Let me just say, the pizza with pink sauce was amazing. It may not sound like the most enticing combo, but it was so good. The salad was pretty standard, but the zeppoles were dangerously addictive. They reminded me of beignets, and that dipping sauce was absolutely fire. I will say that sometimes the order doesn't come exactly right, although that could just as easily be an Uber Eats issue rather than the restaurant itself. Either way, the flavor and the deals have more than made up for it. We'll definitely be ordering from here again, and hopefully dining in sometime too... depending on how well the kids behave

I moved to Bakersfield from Huntington Beach. I'm on the hunt for quality pizza. Zeppo's Pizza has…read morea 4.5 star review and is less than 2 miles from my home, so I decided to give it a try. The Good: the price is reasonable. It's on the cheaper side and not much more than fast food delivery pizza. Staff was cordial and it was ready for pick up in record time. I ordered garlic on my pizza and they had fresh garlic. That's a huge plus considering many pizza establishments put minced pickled garlic from a jar on the pizza. The Bad: The pizza tasted like fast food pizza. The dough has a certain texture and doughiness reminiscent of Pizza Hut while the cheese tasted like it came from Costco. The spaghetti was the most disappointing part of the meal. There were only three meatballs in the spaghetti with meatballs and it had a weird taste and kick to it that reminded me of jarred Mexican salsa. It wasn't arrabiata. Inexcusably, there was so little sauce in the pasta that not a single plate could cover the noodles. It may have earned a higher score if my expectations were fast food, low quality pizza

It's part of their rotation of specials, but I wish it was a permanent item on their menu! A layer of Al dente capellini covered in sautéed spinach is the bed for the Barramundi, a divine tangy lemony caper sauce with a confetti of diced tomatoes and artichoke leaves tops the fish. They have an Old school vibe. Cloth covered tables. Cloth napkins, dimmed lights but not dark. Old school music in the background. Pet peeve! No reflection on the restaurant. Please people don't wear so much fragrance in a restaurant that everyone smells you as you walk by. A couple was seated right next to me and I had to stop eating and take my meal home because I couldn't taste or smell my splendid meal. I only stayed a little longer to finish my glass of Pino. Even with my nose in the glass I could still smell her fragrance!

The Caesar salad is exceptional with house-made dressing and a generous amount of shaved Parm. The Fettuccine Carbonara though not a true traditional carbonara due to the use of cream as a stabilizer and prosciutto rather than guanciale, is delicious as well. The lasagna was delicious and kept us going back for more until we had no room left after consuming the table bread. The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating along with an inviting yet buttoned atmosphere. The restaurant is clean and dimly like t with each table fitted with a lamp for dining. The restrooms are clean as well. The bad reviews here are not a reflection of our experience and we will return again when we're in the area.

I also love their giant sandwiches for parties! They have family take and bake meals, the garlic chicken is so good! Recommend adding it to your easy week day meal rotation! They also have my favorite clam chowder, maybe favorite even over Splash I recommend online ordering so you don't have to wait, their service is quick but they can get busy! The shop is small but I here's plenty of room to eat there if you desire. Also! They have that good crushed ice!

Speaking of obsessions, Caesar's in general remains one for me and my whole family. My family loves when the group text says,"I'm getting Caesar's on the way home. Send your orders in now". A sure fire way of being the family favorite for the night. The folks serving the delicious food are still nice as can be. The prices are still astonishingly affordable. I almost always grab my sandwich and lasagna to go, but the interior is so cute I hope to make time to sit and enjoy my meal there in the near future.

Their lasagna is to die for, the bolognese will make you cry tears of joy. The chicken Parmesan was tender and the marinara tasted so fresh. Then the fettuccine Alfredo was the highlight of the meal for me, it was soooo creamy and cheesy and the noodles were perfect. After sampling everything, the fettuccine was what I ended up finishing in the restaurant. The other party members ordered a shrimp scampi with gluten free noodles and the sauce was rich and tasty. We also ordered a child's pepperoni pizza that tasted amazing with the marinara and seemed like it was wood fired. Our waitress was friendly and kind, and also very prompt, which we appreciated. Our server was a pleasant young fellow and mostly took good care of our table, although I did order an iced tea that never came, which I completely forgot about until the end of the dinner, but it wasn't on the bill. The menu has many options; I decided on the gnocchi. After some delicious, pillowy-soft bread and a lackluster salad, my dish arrived. The potato dumpling pasta was perfectly made and the meat sauce was very tasty. I usually fill up quickly with pasta and this was no exception. I wasn't quite able to finish the entire dish although I enjoyed every bite I had. Definitely a great choice for Italian food in Bakersfield.
