Jerky is ok. Took two weeks for them to get me the jerky with me paying the mailing. Not worth it

They are mostly an organic,…read morenatural type store, so think sorta whole foods, but maybe a little smaller, and possibly a little more expensive since they are not a national chain, but I was still able to find good value in many items. They also have a loyalty program. They do have pretty much everything you might need for a 3 day stay. I personally liked that they had an array of vegan friendly foods (while not vegan, I sometimes do like to do 1-2 days of "clean" eating when I'm traveling). They also have a hot bar and a salad bar along with a deli. I appreciate that they have a wide variety of food, and on the hot bar they do change it up daily. The staff is very friendly and will definitely help point you in the right direction if you can't find something. Its a place I could see visiting over and over when I'm in town.

When Lassen's opened in 2003, we felt like we could stop worrying about packing my various menu items for my dietary needs when visiting my in-laws. When we lived here 1998-2000, there was nothing like this... so when Lassen's opened, we celebrated by going shopping! Love this place! I don't know why it took us so long to finally order from here. We only decided to…read moregive it a try while browsing Uber Eats and noticed they had a great deal going on...free zeppoles plus 20% off a $25 order. For our most recent order, we got a large combination pizza with pink sauce, a large garden salad with ranch, and an order of zeppoles with chocolate caramel dipping sauce. Let me just say, the pizza with pink sauce was amazing. It may not sound like the most enticing combo, but it was so good. The salad was pretty standard, but the zeppoles were dangerously addictive. They reminded me of beignets, and that dipping sauce was absolutely fire. I will say that sometimes the order doesn't come exactly right, although that could just as easily be an Uber Eats issue rather than the restaurant itself. Either way, the flavor and the deals have more than made up for it. We'll definitely be ordering from here again, and hopefully dining in sometime too... depending on how well the kids behave

I moved to Bakersfield from Huntington Beach. I'm on the hunt for quality pizza. Zeppo's Pizza has…read morea 4.5 star review and is less than 2 miles from my home, so I decided to give it a try. The Good: the price is reasonable. It's on the cheaper side and not much more than fast food delivery pizza. Staff was cordial and it was ready for pick up in record time. I ordered garlic on my pizza and they had fresh garlic. That's a huge plus considering many pizza establishments put minced pickled garlic from a jar on the pizza. The Bad: The pizza tasted like fast food pizza. The dough has a certain texture and doughiness reminiscent of Pizza Hut while the cheese tasted like it came from Costco. The spaghetti was the most disappointing part of the meal. There were only three meatballs in the spaghetti with meatballs and it had a weird taste and kick to it that reminded me of jarred Mexican salsa. It wasn't arrabiata. Inexcusably, there was so little sauce in the pasta that not a single plate could cover the noodles. It may have earned a higher score if my expectations were fast food, low quality pizza

Busy at 5pm, we had reservations for 11 of us for another Birthday. First thing I noticed when I…read moreentered was all the waiting customers and the aroma of garlic which perked me up. We had a short 15minute wait. Jasper our waiter greeted us after being seated Drinks were brought out appetizers ordered salads and warm bread sticks soon followed. Jasper our waiter very cool Chicken Parmesan, for me and a 6 ounce sirloin cooked medium well for my wife Chicken tortellini chicken looked delicious as well I was impressed. Wife's medium steak was brought out super rare, Jasper apologized and returned it to the kitchen but he forgot about it he apologized again, when it finally came out, it was cooked perfectly this time, but very late. OG was very busy, all the dinners looked very appetizing no complaints. We went through a few bowls of their appealing salad and many addicting bread sticks. Jasper and a helper were kept busy. We brought an ice cream cake and were provided plates and forks. OG was very accommodating. No more birthdays hopefully for a while I'll return to OG again but probably on a weeknight

It was great to return, and overall, it was a fantastic visit with service that was excellent from start to finish. The Grub: The Pasta e Fagioli was tasty and hit the spot 4/5 stars. However, the Chicken & Gnocchi While the broth and chicken were great, the gnocchi itself just wasn't great. 3/5 stars As always, the salads were fresh and delicious. My only hiccup was asking for no red onions on three separate servings, yet two of them still arrived with onions. Luckily, they are easy enough to pick out, so it didn't ruin my salad but instructiosn weren't followed.. 3/5 stars We ordered ths Chicken & Shrimp Carbonara 5/5 stars Very good! You could tell it was made fresh adding fresh Parmigiano made it great. 5/5 stars,The Chicken Parmigiana well done and very tasty. 5/5 stars. Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo is my absolute go-to. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was creamy and rich 5/5 stars If you haven't tried this one yet, go for it..! Other than the minor slip-up with the salad order and the gnocchi texture, the high quality of the meal and the wonderful service by the 2 staff assignedbto us made for a great experience. Can't wait to come back, ill try every quarter this time.

Their lasagna is to die for, the bolognese will make you cry tears of joy. The chicken Parmesan was tender and the marinara tasted so fresh. Then the fettuccine Alfredo was the highlight of the meal for me, it was soooo creamy and cheesy and the noodles were perfect. After sampling everything, the fettuccine was what I ended up finishing in the restaurant. The other party members ordered a shrimp scampi with gluten free noodles and the sauce was rich and tasty. We also ordered a child's pepperoni pizza that tasted amazing with the marinara and seemed like it was wood fired. Our waitress was friendly and kind, and also very prompt, which we appreciated. We sat in a booth and enjoyed the ambiance, everyone in the dining room was chatting and having a good time. Will definitely be back!

There is plenty of parking in the front and in the back. Decor isn't so great. Service was not so great. At the end once meals were payed couldn't get a server our way to get to go boxes, so I got up and got them myself. Food was mid‍. I was expecting to be wowed and it just didn't happen. The deep fried ravioli with the dipping sauce is delicious, not going to lie. My steak was a tough. The pasta was very al dente, something neither my daughter nor I are used to and now that we have tried al dente I can say I we are not fans. Shrimp scampi was a tad salty and oily, but the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Nothing special about the desserts. I am a huge fan of carrot cake and tiramisu and both were very underwhelming, especially the lemon tiramisu. The raspberry tea was good. The coconut shrimp were good. The egg thingy with peas was surprisingly delicious the flavor was there and it was cooked to perfection. The white pasta sauce was very bland. I have to admit the seasoning on both the chops and the steak was beautiful but it just carried too much char flavor and as I said meat was tough. Would I go back? Yes, I would give place another chance. Too bad my baby has gone back to Virginia for her next deployment.
