From the minute you walk in the business is always extremely clean and the Services top notch. I have never walked in here without being greeted and today was no exception. The owner himself was in on my visit today and we had a great conversation. The owner and his staff are super friendly and always willing to help with any of your needs. The meat they carry is always high end prime or wagyu which is always delicious. The seasoning on the meat if you get it prepared is delicious! The meat is always super tender. I have tried tons of meat markets but my family and I always find ourselves coming back to La Carne Meat Market. We always talked about visiting, but every time we are downtime we don't ever think of this place. We ended up here because our original choice for lunch was super busy and there was no parking so we drove around and I said.... Hey let's go to Martin's meats, we haven't had their food in a minute. When we got there, it wasn't busy at all. The people there was super duper nice. I actually enjoyed our interaction, I could be wrong but I think the one that took our orders was Martin himself. He was very pleasant, I didn't know what to get, he didn't pressure us or anything and allowed us to take our time. I want to say that the sweet lady in the back was his wife and she was helping with the orders too. While we waited for our food I did notice that they were giving out food to homeless people asking for food. In a time where people are struggling and the economy is the way it is, I really loved seeing this. When you walk in, it's not just a BBQ spot, it's also a cute little grocery store/meat market with fresh produce. There's not a lot of tables to sit at, but they don't have too many people dining in so you wont have a hard time finding a place to sit. The prices are decent and they have something for everyone. I would love to come back again, even though it's a little drive away. Parking is not too bad either since it's not that busy, but if you don't want to head downtown, I believe they still go out to the Farmer's Market every weekend, but I absolutely recommend Martin's meats, the BBQ is delicious. :-)

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted within 30 seconds even though the 3 servers on the floor were VERY busy, they got back with us within a minute, sat us, and immediately got a drink order. When they came back they asked if we were ready to order. We were in a hurry, so when the Server came back to quality check our food we ordered dessert to go and asked for the check so we could get back on the road as we were eager to get home. We were so impressed with our service and honestly, the delicious diner food, that we planned to stop here again on our way home from our yearly trip this year. I work in Shafter and I make it a point to stop in once a week and get my carne for my weekly…read moremeals. The place is really clean and doesn't have a yucky Carniceria smell like some do. The gentleman who tend the meat counter are really patient, quick and kind. The meat is great quality and prices are average. I can't speak on other items at the store, except maybe the candies at check out. I did grab a couple packs of the candied peanuts and noticed they were expired after the fact.
