According to Wikipedia, they are one of the leading producers of carrots. I don't think these drinks are pasteurized. I drank a C-Boost smoothie and the carrot juice yesterday. The former has apple juice, cherries, and mango puree. A 450 mL C-Boost also has 1200% of the recommended daily allowance for vitamin C. It was from Smart and Final. I would try their lemonades but the protein drinks might be too thick for Summer. The carrot juice had a hint of orange flavor without harshness. These taste too heavy with hot dogs or ice cream sandwiches. They're best refrigerated because they already have a grainy texture without being frozen. I was craving a salad today and so I went out to my nearby supermarket and bought this Vinaigrette Dressing to add on the salad, it hit the spot. If I had one complaint about Bolthouse it would be simply that their products are very, very expensive. But if you can snag it on a rare sale or even with a rarer coupon via their website or in store the stuff particularly the smoothies are all top rate in terms of flavor and good for you healthiness. My favorites are Amazing Mango, Berry Boost, Strawberry Banana and Green Goodness. They are also my favorites because in Eastern PA you can't find the majority of Bolthouse's flavors so I've never tried nor have I seen 2/3 of their flavors. I'm hoping that at some point they offer direct ordering or that they expand their presence at more stores in the East because it's good stuff. read more

Bolthouse Farms makes my favorite plant milk ! I have been vegan & vegetarian for 20 something years and up until a few years ago, soy was the best alternative to dairy milk. I have tried ALL of the alternatives . Hemp was favorite for a few years, but recently disappointing , it separates in my green tea . I tried a couple of other brands that use pea protein, and noticed a bitter after taste in both brands. Bolthouse Unsweetened Non dairy Plant milk protein is my absolute favorite. It's creamy , tastes really good and has NO bitterness at all. It also stays together in tea. ( as long as you don't mix it with citrus based teas) true with any milk. I've tried Bolthouse Farms strawberry banana smoothie twice before and I was very satisfied with the product so much that I went and purchased a larger one the 32 fl. ounces from my local grocer only to get it home and noticed that it is one week past the expiration date I contacted the customer service number to inform them of this concern and I was offered offered $1 off of my next purchase instead of a replacement coupon for the expired product I explained to the representative that I no longer had my receipt as I was not planning on returning this product. she advised me to go back to the store where I purchased it from and see if they'll return if not I'm just out of my $7-$8 dollars that I paid for the product I'm very disappointed and unhappy read more

Their labeling is VERY misleading. Bolthouse sells a pomegranate juice with the following on the label... "blend of FROM and NOT FROM concentrate juices." What the hell is that??? So, I look a the back label and the first ingredient is pomegranate juice FROM CONCENTRATE and the second ingredient is pomegranate juice. Based on the sugar content (for an 8 oz serving) it's 31grams of sugar. That's worse than soda. So, my guess is, they put about a thimble of actual pomegranate juice in their juice so they can label it NOT from concentrate, when in actuality, it's as bad as a juice that is 100% from concentrate. It's a shame. I mentioned this in a post to their Facebook page and my comment was immediately deleted. I guess they don't want consumers knowing the truth about their deceptive practices. I will never buy from this company and would encourage anyone else from not supporting this kind of business practice. IF you are unaware of how bad juice from concentrate is for you, you can Google this information. IT'S REALLY BAD FOR YOU AND SUPER HIGH IN SUGAR. I'm tired of deceptive practices with businesses promoting themselves as healthy companies. On the back of the bottle, it reads... "FEEL GOOD about what's in this bottle" How can I? Thought I had found nirvana. Loved their vanilla chai, so I got some of the protein plus drinks. My stomach was not the same, but it may have been my fault because I didn't realize they were chock full of vitamin C, of which I'm allergic. It didn't say Protein plus a bunch of vitamins, or vitamin enriched, so I didn't look. Back to their Vanilla Chai. On their website, it says no Vitamin c. Yay! Unfortunately, I once again didn't check the label cause it's not supposed to have it. Why on earth would it have Vit c anyway? Well, it has 150% of it. I've contacted Bolthouse. Their first response...no it doesn't. I sent them the photo of it, no response. Lucky for them that they didn't have to suffer an allergic reaction because they don't know their own products. Love these smoothies, I don't like making my own smoothies so Bolthouse Farm smoothies are a great alternative for people like me. Goal is losing weight by drinking Bolthouse Farm smoothies along with vitamin and mineral supplements. I'm also taking krill oil, probiotics, hyaluronic acid and Lipovox. Goal is to lose a total of 70 pounds, 59 to go! I was surprised by the taste of the Green Goodness and the other smoothies. With the Bolthouse Farms smoothies I'm able to correct my horrible eating habits like potato chips, diary products, wheat products and more. I can't eat like a 20 something anymore and these smoothies are helping me to care about what I put in my body and to become a much healthier person. Aside from being too thick for my liking, "Amazing Mango" has a pretty good mango-y taste. I was disappointed with "Blue Goodness" as the banana flavor overwhelms the blueberry/blackberry ones. (I dislike bananas which is probably why I dislike most smoothies.) For those who like "smoothies" these will rate higher than 3 stars. I prefer *juice* to smoothies. "Smoothies" are thick and get stuck in my throat. LOL I am currently trying "Passion Orange Guava." Amazing. I love their smoothies and juices! I'm not a big eating in the morning person, but I really need a boost, so I'll have this instead. The stone fruit is the best I've had. You can really taste the apricots and nectarines. The strawberry banana is next on the list. The drink is a little thicker than expected, but I throw ice in and it's not noticeable. It's also a little cheaper than the naked brand, and also taste way better. I've seen complaints about stomach issues in here after drinking these, but I've never had an issue and my stomach tends to be on the sensitive side. Even with my stomach being empty. I love these protein drinks & have used them to replace meals (the ones with 30 grams of protein). However, the lids are sealed so tight a woman cannot usually open them on her own strength. It should be known that all juice products sold commercially are required by Federal Law to be pasturized, no exceptions. The 1990's company ODWALLA sold unpasturized juices and smoothies and had an e'coli contamination that lost them 90% of their business. They were bought out by Coca Cola after that. First off, I have been totally in love with the original Bolthouse Vanilla Chai for years. I felt good drinking it , because it previously contained some added vitamins and minerals such as calcium, B6, B12, zinc, Vitamin C. I eat vegan and sometimes feel my energy flagging and would reach for this instead of hard to swallow vitamins. Now, I feel very mislead as you have eliminated all the nutrients and have no advantage over Vanilla soy milk (which has more Calcium, and B vitamins.), way less sugar and is far cheaper! read more
