Instead, I was told it was because another car was being worked on--something that should have been accounted for before confirming my appointment. I had all the parts needed. This was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional. If you cannot honor scheduled appointments, that should be communicated clearly and ahead of time. Communication throughout this experience was very poor, and I was left waiting with no updates or accountability. I took time out of my day based on the appointment I was given, and that time was completely wasted. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values punctuality, communication, or basic customer service.

The communication is poor and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. This place is not serious about selling cars. Beware on the SONS Advantage. When you read this dealers website, they claim to not charge any unnecessary fees. Every sale includes the SONS Advantage at an additional $676, whether you want it or not. It is an option that is not available from Cadillac which makes it an unnecessary fee added by the dealership to increase profit margin. Not to mention their Doc fee is almost double than Atlanta dealerships. The sales team lacks motivation and does not communicate well or in a timely manner. The first sales person I dealt with tried to tell me I had to trade in with them and finance through them in order to get the discount (I have it in writing). After 48hrs of no response from her, I got salesman #2. I sent him my trade in pictures and info and he never responded (until 10 days later asking if I was still interested). While waiting for a response from #2, this place passes me off to the #3 man, the sales manager, and this time I go 72hrs without a response - he is the manager! After several unreturned phone calls and emails, I finally speak to the general manager 11 days after initial contact. His stance was that even though SONS claims to not charge unnecessary fees, the SONS Advantage was necessary and would not lower the cost of the vehicle or add something to the sale to compensate for it (tinted windows like what is pictured on the Cadillac website for this vehicle). It blows my mind that this dealership is willing to keep paying the per diem for a car that is not selling rather than cut their ridiculous doc fee or SONS Advantage fee and move it off the lot - that's $1400 of dealer fluff added to the bill between those 2 fees. All I asked for was $500 tinted windows. Their 10% discount quickly dwindled once you started tacking on the erroneous fees. SONS Advantage was the deal breaker.

It would have been easy to tell me they were full and that I'd need to come back tomorrow. Instead, David listened to my story, took the keys and went to check it out. The battery tested fine, of course. He could have left it at that and sent me on my way. Instead, he looked around the battery and noticed what seemed to be a loose connection. As he thought about it, he noticed the battery was a bit askew. He came back in to tell me what was wrong and that he had ordered the replacement part to secure the battery and fix the connection. 20 minutes later, he handed me my keys, refusing to charge me a dime, and told me to have a good day. As I stood there incredulously, he said he thought they should have noticed it at my last visit, 2 months ago. Of course they should not have. It probably wasn't loose then. However, it is self effacing, compassionate and detailed service that sets Franklin apart from most businesses. It is why I tell everyone about them. In the end, it is why I keep going back.

Incorrect bug deflector installed on the front edge of the hood leaving large gaps under it allowing trash and debris to become lodged between it and the freshly painted hood. Per their contract, no aftermarket part that causes damage to the vehicle is covered by their warranty. They installed the wrong part. Their collision representative has zero follow-up skills at all and has yet to reach back out to me in over a month after saying he was ordering the correct part. He also mentioned that the part they ordered for the next replacement and the incorrect one that was installed are the same part number but the unit they installed does not line up with the contours of the hood and they removed the dealership installed unit that did, so clearly they are not the same. I'm not surprised because when my wife's Buick went to their shop, the driver's door would not close without clunking a hitting the strike and there was paint overspray on the windshield and driver's door glass. When she went to pick it up after receiving demands to return the rental car, the door was the same way it was the day before and overspray still on the glass. I went ahead and fixed them myself since I'm a technician. Now the tire pressure sensor has failed on the wheel they replaced, so I'll end up dealing with that myself too. I spoke with a number of other people, including relatives and they have all had less than stellar things to say about their experience with Rivertown Collision center, so after quite a number of discussions, we have all decided not to take our vehicles there for any further repairs. I'll personally be going back to Frank's Collision Center where they have always been willing to take care of any issues I had promptly. I'd rather have the hassle of taking it to one place for an estimate, then getting the insurance company approval, then driving or towing it across town to have it done right the first time and not have to call and ask questions about when this repair job that has been awaiting completion for months now will be completed. I am a cancer patient and I work as many hours a week as I can to provide for my family while trying to make it to and through treatments. I don't have time or desire to deal with this.
