Chicken kabob plate. DELICIOUS! Way better than Luna Grill and just as good as Panini Kabob Grill. This is my favorite new spot.

I've been impatiently waiting for Panini Kabob Grill to open by my apartment in Aliso. I just found Grill Hut! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Now I don't care when Panini Kabob opens. I found a better spot and better priced too. The service is also great! If you love Mediterranean food, you need to try this place. Their hummus and shirazi salad are also great!

If you want delicious kebabs, go to Grill Hut. We ordered a chicken kebab plate with grilled tomato and veggies and a steak kebab plate with salad. Everything was good but what makes Grill Hut great is their meat! This was the best steak kebab I've ever had at a restaurant. Everywhere I go overcooks it and it's fine. But here the meat was soooo tender and easy to eat. The flavor was amazing. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. This particular experience was 3 stars due to the wait time. Our two plates took 20 minutes to come out. It did look like they were very busy with an online order. I don't hold it against them and don't think it was bad service but it was a bummer since we only had 45 minutes before picking up our kids and half of it was spent waiting. Also, a heads up: the bathroom has a code.

    Darn good Chicken Kabob

They moved down a few doors but like just 100 feet. Same mall where Board and Brew, Rubios are... lots of parking and lots of choices. The chicken kabob plate is really good and won't make you feel guilty. Service was nice and fast so no worries there. Salad dressing seems to have a bit of mustard in it and it's good but would have preferred tahini or garlic based dressing for a Mediterranean meal.. maybe that's just me.

Chicken kebab plate with basmati rice and hummus, to stay and not to-go.

Grill Hut is a fast service food joint in the Laguna Hills area, in a marketplace with a lot of food and shopping options. It is conveniently located near where Alicia Parkway and Pacific Park cross. My overall experience is OK. The meat was properly cooked with a decent amount of seasoning. The rice was individually fluffy but nothing to write home about. The hummus was OK and definitely leaned on the thick and savory and slightly grainy side. I had a chicken kebab plate with basmati rice and hummus for around $17. The area is lovely on a sunny day. It is great to sit outside. The food is good enough and nice and clean. Overall, my experience was fine. I'm not going to aim to come back here, but I had nothing that made me not want to come back here.

I have been coming to this location for over 16 years. I recently started returning whenever I am in the area, and I had forgotten how good it truly is. The chicken is consistently cooked to perfection and flavorful every time. A special thank you to Maz, who always makes sure the chicken is cooked to the perfect temperature. The quality and consistency keep me coming back after all these years.

Somehow forgot to eat lunch today then realized I was hungry around 2pm. Was going to stop at the fast food asian chain in this plaza but saw Grill Hut nearby and wanted to try it out instead. Wasn't too hungry so I just ordered the kid's ground beef kabob (includes sauce, half a pita, and rice). The kabob was tasty! Pita and sauce were okay and the rice was a bit oily/buttery. The wait wasn't too long and the kid's meal portion was pretty good. The shop is small but there are tables outside too. While waiting for my food, a gentleman was ordering his meal and it seemed like it was also his first time. He was a bit overwhelmed by the menu and I thought the worker could have been more helpful and patient. He had a lot of questions and the worker was a bit short with him. I enjoyed my kabob! Some room for improvement with the cashier service and quality of sides.

And it starts at ten bucks. That's a ridiculous bargain. In a white tablecloth Italian restaurant, the same cheese wheel theater could easily run north of thirty dollars, probably delivered by someone wearing an apron cleaner than your kitchen towels. You can add chicken and other toppings, but I went with the three flavor pasta trio, served on a wooden plank. It's visually impressive, filling, and compared with most quick-service food these days, a genuinely respectable value. There is, however, one important thing to understand before walking through the door, everything begins with Alfredo. Pesto, tomato, and the other flavors are added afterward, but the creamy cheese sauce is the foundation. If Alfredo isn't your thing, this probably isn't your place. My wife is firmly in that camp, so she ordered a salad. That's where the operation started to wobble. The lettuce was wilted, and the green goddess dressing had an odd, unpleasant flavor. We also ordered pita bread, which appeared to have been removed from a plastic bag, cut into pieces, and dropped onto a plate without heat, seasoning, or much thought. It was cold, slightly stale, and depressing. The frustrating part is that both problems are easy to fix. Toast the pita. Brush it with olive oil. Add a little salt and herbs. Treat the salad like someone might actually be excited to eat it. The pasta trio, though? Solid. Rich, satisfying, and an excellent deal. Judging by the packed dining room on a Friday night, plenty of other people have reached the same conclusion. Zesty Olive has the Alfredo pasta experience down. Add one genuinely good olive oil based pasta for people who don't want the cream and cheese, and bring the salads and sides up to the same standard as the main attraction. Do that, and they may have a real winner.

For all the restaurants in this center, in my opinion, Fennel is the best dining option if you want a sit down restaurant. Everything I've ordered thus far has been excellent, fresh, tasty, never dry. The service has always been extremely accommodating and the one time I've been disappointed in my original order selling out and having to wait too long for the final dish, they went out of their way to make sure I was given extra fries (which are excellent) and extra things to dip my heaping scoop of hummus into. Don't skip the cocktails, or really any of their handmade drinks. I cannot not get a cardamom latte at brunch, and it's so fun picking which cocktail to get to unwind with whatever dinner entree I go with (usually the salmon bowl). They have large tables so larger groups are welcome. I always see corporate type people having working lunches here, or families out for a nice dinner. This place is almost always quite full, but I still feel like they are slept on and under appreciated.

The ambiance is nice but we did get seated in the cramp window seat next to the door, even though there were plenty of open seats & it was bench seating on one side. The food was insanely amazing very rich in flavor. I got the lamb risotto & my kid got the salmon bowl. The salmon was perfectly cooked flakey with a nice tasty sear. The lamb & barley rissoto was flavorful but had a lot of grease (likely from the cheese of the risotto). The server recommended a cauliflower&date appetizer and it was a great way to start. Savory with pops of sweet from the dates. Arrive with an appetite, because serving sizes are abundant and this food sits heavy.

Food is good, service was okay, speed was disappointingly slow…read more I get that these places make their food to order so I expected a wait, but they have the word "express" in their business name so I had a false expectation. Needless to say I sat there waiting for my two to-go orders for what felt like an eternity. A lot of people flowed in after me and they were all just waiting, it was weird since it was empty when I walked in and then seeing 6 tables of people with no food. I thought I ordered the cheaper lunch special of chicken koobideh and beef koobideh, but he punched in the full portion instead. I didn't really mind as it just became extra food for dinner. But I feel like if someone is going in at the beginning of lunch time, they would be looking to order lunch menu stuff? I guess I can't expect people to do what I my logic would do. The two koobidehs is pretty much the same thing I order at any of these places because I prefer ground meat that's tender and juicy and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the combo beef and chicken plate, the beef gyro plate, and two falafel on the side. The falafel didn't look impressive, but they were surprisingly excellent--moist, flavorful, and honestly better than Sababa's. I'll definitely order six next time. The gyro plate was solid, not overly greasy or heavy, and the seasoning was just right. I wasn't a fan of the hummus, which had a bitter aftertaste, but my partner liked the tanginess, so that may come down to personal preference. On the combo plate, the chicken stood out: juicy and tender. The beef seemed to be a leaner cut and was a bit dry. I'd probably skip this particular beef kebab next time and try a different one. The saffron rice and grilled tomato were a nice complement. The plate also came with jumbo naan, served warm and smelling amazing, definitely a highlight.
